Thor

ORIGIN:

Thor is the son of Odin, All-father of the Asgardian Gods, and the elder goddess Gaea, the living embodiment of Earth itself. Thor was born centuries ago in a cave in Norway. Once Thor was weened, Odin brought him to Asgard where he was raised to be the God of Thunder and heir to the throne. As the Asgardian God of Thunder, Thor commands the thunder, the lightning the wind and all the elements of the storm with his hammer Mjolnir, which was forged from the legendary, indestructible Asgardian metal; Uru. Mjolnir gives Thor the power of flight and helps him channel, focus or amplify his own godly elemental powers. Though the hammer is quite heavy by mortal standards, It can only be lifted by those deemed worthy to do so, regardless of the would-be wielder’s physical strength. After centuries of defending Asgard from its enemies, Thor became too proud and grew headstrong. It was because of this that he was banished to Midgard (Earth) by his father to teach him some needed humility. Made mortal and given the form of the handicapped human doctor Donald Blake, Thor learned what it was like to be small and frail and how to be humble and truly noble despite being mortal. When in his mortal guise of Dr. Blake he is able to transform into his true godly form by striking his walking stick (actually Mjolnir in disguise) upon any solid surface causing the transformation that changes him into Thor and his walking stick into his hammer Mjolnir. ( In the past, this has now been taken away)

POWERS, ABILITIES, AND FEATS:

Like all Asgardians, Thor is incredibly long-lived and relies upon periodic consumption of the Golden Apples of Idunn to sustain his extended lifespan, which to date has lasted many millennia. Being the son of Odin and the elder goddess Gaea, Thor is physically the strongest of the Asgardians. If pressed in battle, Thor is capable of entering into a state known as the "Warrior's Madness" ("berserkergang" in Norwegian), which will temporarily increase his strength and stamina tenfold, although in this state he attacks friend and foe alike. Thor possesses a very high resistance to physical injury that approaches invulnerability. Thor possesses keen senses that allow him to track objects traveling faster than light and hear cries from the other side of the planet. Thor has the ability to travel through time. His stamina allowed him to battle the entire Frost Giant army for nine months without any sustenance or rest; Thor has shown the ability to regenerate wounded portions of his body, including entire limbs and organs with the aid of magical forces such as Mjolnir. Thor has superhuman speed, agility, and reflexes, enabling him to deflect bullets with his hammer. Like all Asgardians, he has immunity to all Earthly diseases and some resistance to magic. Exceptionally powerful magic can overwhelm Odin's enchantment that transforms him between Asgardian and mortal forms. As the Norse god of thunder, Thor can summon the elements of the storm (lightning; rain; wind; snow) and uses Mjolnir as a tool to focus this ability, although the hammer cannot command artificial weather, only natural. He can cause these weather effects over the world and destroy entire buildings; by whirling his hammer he can lift entire buildings with the wind. As the son of the Earth goddess Gaea, Thor has shown some control over the Earth. Thor is a superb hand-to-hand combatant, and is skilled in armed combat, excelling in the use of the war hammer, sword, axe and mace. Thor possesses two items which assist him in combat: the enchanted Belt of Strength, and his signature weapon, the mystical hammer Mjolnir. The first item doubles Thor's strength and endurance while the second is used to control his weather abilities; flight; energy projection and absorption; dimensional travel; matter manipulation and the most powerful of his offensives, the God Blast (which taps into Thor's life force), the Thermo-blast, and the Anti-Force (which counteracts another force). Using Mjolnir by throwing in the desired direction and then holding on to the handle's leather loop, Thor can fly at supersonic speeds in Earth's atmosphere and travel faster than light in space. When Thor has to transport companions and/or objects to a destination by himself, he has a chariot drawn by two huge mystical goats called Toothgnasher and Toothgrinder that can fly nearly anywhere he desires almost as easily as with Mjolnir. He can throw an object out of Earth's atmosphere using his strength, and throw his hammer to Asgard from which it will return. When Mjolnir was damaged, Doctor Strange bound Thor's soul into Mjolnir, meaning that if the hammer were to be broken again, Thor may die.

WEAKNESSES:

If Mjolnir is damaged or destroyed, Thor may die.

Captain Planet

ORIGIN:

Captain Planet was summoned to earth once again when Gaia (mother earth) awoke from a hundred year nap to discover that the earth is peril thanks to the pollution of man. She summons five rings to give to five special teens from five continents. (Australia and Antarctica Were left out.) These Five teens are Kwame from Africa with the power of earth, Wheeler from America with the power of fire, Linka from Russia with the power of wind, Gi from Asia with the power of water and Ma-Ti form South America with the power of heart. Captain Planet is summoned by the rings of Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, and Heart; each held by the Planeteers. "By your powers combined; I am Captain Planet!"

POWERS, ABILITIES, AND FEATS:

Captain Planet has shown to have a variety of powers. He has been shown to turn himself into lightning, and the other elements. He also has superior elements control, he has been shown to put out a volcano by taking water from the ocean, putting it out easily. He also has super strength and super speed. He has been shown to fly around the world at records speed, flying from Europe to Africa in a mere few seconds. He has been shown to stop an asteroid from hitting the U.S., it was about the size of the state of Kansas. He has also lifted a Chemical Plant and threw it into the sun, showing he is able to go into space and live.

WEAKNESSES:

Any type of pollution.

WHO WILL WIN?

Yeah, this is definitely more of a mismatch, as at least Post Crisis Supes and Hyperion seemed pretty even. Thor at his strongest using the Odinforce is pushing galaxy destroying levels of power and can casually break humanoid levels of physics by flying much faster than the speed of light, because he's a god and can do this. Even normal Thor without his upgrades would probably be a good match for SSJG Goku.

Captain Planet IIRC doesn't even have the power to destroy planets; let alone stars and galaxies like Thor when he's amped. Normal Thor can easily waste planets with his Hammer, so it seems old CP is bit out of his league across the board here in power, strength, speed, and durability.

Idk if you ever watched Captain Planet as a child, but even if you did, you're severely selling him short. CP has been shown able to travel near or even at light speed. Also, when he picked up that chemical plant and hurled it into the sun, that was just from Earth's orbit. Also, did you read the part about him stopping an asteroid the size of Kansas from hitting the Earth? Not to mention his ability to control all the elements. He's created winds stronger than F-5 tornadoes or Hurricanes with a breath. He can summon water, fire, and Earth with ease, meaning Thor's own elemental abilities would be out classed by CP's. As long as there's no pollution, CP can survive in any environment or temperature extreme. Also, he doesn't need to eat, rest, or even breath. CP would be much more of a challenge then you're making him out to be.

I don't think this would be much of a challenge for Thor to be quite honest.

I remember watching the cartoon when I was a kid and all anyone really had to do to hurt CP was to hit him with something that would be damaging to the environment: douse him with gasoline or oil, douse him with polluted water, expose him to toxic waste materials, etc. Plus, Thor himself has the powers to take out CP without resorting to environmentally hazardous attacks. If Thor had access to the Odinpower, he'd finish CP in about 2 seconds as the Odinpower is on a level with beings like Galactus.
