Experimenting with sig making.

GenMe

GenMe
As of recently I have been playing around with making my own sigs. So tell me what you think about it, Rate me and please give me tips if you think I need them.

tnatna.jpg

This is my first TNA sig. It is really simple, For the bottom I used cloud brushes, The top is Lightning brushes and the background had some abstract brushes. I really like the way that this sig came out By adding RVD, Jeff and The Pope. IMO The sig came out really good, But if you think otherwise let me know.

This right here is my second TNA sig with Jesse Neal. The background was solid red with a black smoke brush, The skull was made with a brush called Skull brush. It has a double border, Both borders were made under luminosity. The font I used was a Gas mask font.

Let me know what you think.

My second Daffney sig, In this sig I used an entrance Daffney picture that covered the whole background. I also used some splatter blood brushes in the background. The font I used is called cold nights for alligators.

In this signature I used a Black Abstract brush on a white background. The font I used is called JI-Kinins, The font color is gray with a black outline.

I have a tip. Try using actual pics in the background, making them low in opacity, then putting a psd ontop of it.

It wont let me edit the post so:

Try something like this.

That's pretty good, GMe. The text could be lower and larger, and the wrestlers' levels could be adjusted and blended slightly, but it's nice-looking. Keep practicing, mate. :)

"BIG" Rob Terry. I really like the way the sig came out. On the sig I Blend in the British flag and Rob Terry. The Font I used is call samdan it's a simple font. Also I made the outline with a stroke of 3 pixels. Like I said I really like the way that the sig came out.

Hope to get some feedback..

The Dibiase Family. The background of the signature was created with pure 100 dollar bills, The only think that I added was a small dose of green paint over it. The borders has a small white stroke of 1 pixel in the inside of the sig, And on the outside I made a black border of 4 pixels. They Font that I used is call JJ beand, As you can see its a pretty simple font. Well that's all, Thank you and I hope some one likes it.

Hope to get some feed back, Thank you.

This right here is one of the best AJ Styles sig that I have created. The background has a solid gray paint with four different kind of brushes, A cloud bush first layer, a Firework brush that's a second layer and the third layer has a Lightning brush and a abstract brush. The background also has two pictures of Ric Flair. I used a Font call JJ-Panter and a 2 pixel black stroke.

Pls If you like the sig don't be afraid to use it, Just credit me or rep me. LOL

I will appreciate feedback, thank you.

Not bad, not bad. One thing I would suggest though...
Is it just me, or are the pictures squished? That's never good, you never want to do that. To prevent it, hold SHIFT while resizing by dragging the diagonal handle.

Other than that, it's all right. The colors work well together and nothing is bad. I would have liked the pictures of Flair to be a bit lihter and more blended but that's just me.

Keep it up. :)

I'm not a sig maker but I enjoy looking at what all the artists on this forum have done. I frequent the digital graphics sections often to see if Doc, Theo or someone else has made something knew. Well, enough babbling on how I'm not qualified to judge your sigs but I wanted to give my opinion anyway lol.

I've seen your old stuff so I must say that you've grown a lot generationme. Kudos Bro. First off, I can't see the first sig. Did you delete it? I like the jesse neal one. Very nice. The daffney and rock and rap one aren't doing it for me though. The daffney background is too light and the rock and rap one is kind of plain for a "finished product". My favorite by far is the Rob Terry sig. I'd rock that sig if he was my favorite wrestler. I really don't like the Dibiase one. Ted Sr and Brett look like ghosts. I like what you were trying to do with the AJ sig but I agree with Doc that AJ looks a bit squished.

So in all, Im a fan of your work, generationme. I hope to see more of your work. Green rep for you :D

The Mister Anderson sig was made with a picture of Mister Anderson in the background, It also has a cloud brush and a small touch of an abstract brush. The font in the signature is call "A charming font", The font also has an outer black stroke of 2 pixes. The border was made with 2 pixes with a solid black color.

Thank you, And I will appreciate feedback from the viewers.

I love the AJ Styles and Mr. Anderson works. Great stuff. I try to resize my pics by holding the Shift key, but it always ends up a but mushed, I suggest using the Resize Image option with the Constrain Proportions option on. But the tip aside, your work is great and improving.

The reason your pics get squished, Riaku, is because you're supposed to release the mouse button and THEN release Shift.

Great, great work on the Anderson sig, GMe. The background image is blended well, and the whole thing flows well. Everything works together. It's easily your best work. Keep it up! :)

I found an awesome site that could give you some more pointers and tips you can incorporate into your work. It's called sigtutorials.com. Hope it helps.

Like right now I'm at work and I'm bored I downloaded GIMP and this was the final result that I got. This is a Randy Orton Sig. The background is black with some white abstract brushes, I duplicated both Randy Ortons layer and kind of blur it out, it came out with an awesome result on both of the pictures. The border is black with 2 pixes and the font is a regular font with a 3 pixes stroke. This is a Gimp Sig and I'm new with Gimp, so give me a break lol.

Tell me what you guys think.

Wow, very nice. Certainly better than the first thing I made with Gimp. Of course, Gimp may have changed since the last time I used it. It's quite nice, one of your best yet I'd say. The colors match, things are blended well, and it's very pleasing to the eye. You did well on this one. Keep it up! :)

This sig was created yesterday night, I was bored so I told my self why not create a Justin Gabriel sig. The sig is 506x231, in the background I used a couple of different Abstract brushes and I also added a blue and white render. Both pictures in the sig were duplicate, in the smaller picture I just added a blurry picture behind it and it made it look pretty awesome, and in the bigger picture I just made the picture a bit bigger and made the picture look kind of transparent. The font the I used is call Army font and the border was made with 3 pixes all around.

Hope to get some feedback.

It has been a long time since I had post one of my sigs in here, so here it goes.

csx05.jpg

This sig is about Death Note. And I also took some notes from both Doc and Dave's tutorial. First I got the render in the middle and I duplicated the render 3 times, the main render was just lighten up a little and the 2 other renders were blurred a little and moved around, Then I added a mask layer and insert L on the right and Misa on the left. The font is named youmurderer BB weird name but meh. So tell me what you think.

I came in here to give you some feedback for your latest sig but I had noticed that you asked for some feedback on this one a couple of weeks ago and I thought that whilst I was here, I might as well give you some feedback for this one too.

As it goes, I really like the way this one turned out. The background is really nice. One question I have though is whether that is a created background or is it a self-created one? If it is the latter, then I am very impressed with it. The lowered-opacity Gabriel fits well into the background but could have been lowered a bit more, for my tastes. That being said, this is a great signature. The colour scheme is great and both of the renders are great. I like the feather on the one on the left.

Excellent work...

This one is a sig that I really like, in terms of style. Of course, I was the one who wrote the tutorial on how to create some aspects of it, so that is not completely surprising. To be honest, this sig is great. As you may or may not have noticed, I like more compact signtaures. I look at the Gabriel one and this one and I just like the flow of this one much more. With less space to cover, you are not trying to just fill space, like I find myself doing from time to time.

As for the content, it is really good. I made one that was quite similar to this but it never saved properly and I was a bit gutted really. That being said, I think you have done a Death Note signature better than I did and that is commendable. The only negative, for me, is little details. For instance, I don't think the render on the right looks like it fits in because of the colour. Also, I like to add a drop shadow when I use layer masks as it helps to add some definition to what you are doing.

That being said, I am glad I could help you make this and it is a great job.
