[Backstage, Showtime is seen walking with a leather coat draped over his shoulder, shades on and his Black/Blue "It's Showtime!" attire on towards the parking lot area. Becky Serra sees him, calls over a cameraman, and takes the time to stop him and interview him]

Serra: Mr. Thorpe...or should I call you Showtime? Nice to finally get to meet the man behind the mouth. Mind if I have a few words with you about your experiences here so far in the WZCW?

Thorpe: Such beauty marred by such harshness. Kinda strapped for time right now...can't you see I'm kinda busy? Argh...

[Showtime looks a bit aggravated...like he's in a rush, but stops to talk]

Serra: Good. Now with your 1st two matches behind you...how do you feel? I mean...you've been defeated by El Guerrero twice now, I'm sure he's been haunting your memory, have you lost your focus?

Thorpe: Ahh, nice questions, and I actually have answers for both of them...how bout that? I feel like complete shit. I was dropped on my head not just once, but twice by the same guy, not to mention he made me bleed! Oh, and the 2nd time he beat me, I lost my chance at the new Elite X Title! Talk about tough breaks...don't you feel bad for me? Someone as good looking as me getting banged up by such a big guy like El Guerrero?

[Showtime takes his shades off and gives Becky puppy eyes, prying for a bit of sympathy. Becky blushes a bit and turns away. At this point, Showtime turns to the cameraman and winks.]

Serra: Well, internal injuries are very serious, are you doing alright?

[Becky reaches out and touches Showtime's shoulder. Showtime then coughs...and slips his arm over Becky's shoulder as if he's REALLY hurt!]

Thorpe: I'm ok now...no worries. As for me losing my 1st two matches...nothing to lose focus over, and that's because even though I lost my shot, the title isn't running away and neither will the winner of the tournament. I'll be waiting for the winner and I'm sure their reign will be VERY short lived.

Serra: How about your match against Tom McBrady, how do you feel after seeing the fight he gave the WZCW Champ Joseph Rios?

[Showtime takes his arm off Becky and begins to laugh. He stops and looks at Becky, who isn't laughing, but looks embarrassed to have asked the question. He starts laughing again]

Thorpe: Oh, no, no...I'm not laughing at you Becky, I'm sorry. It's just that...well he lost. Not that I'm one to talk, because I lost as well, but why should I feel anything towards McBrady? Whether it be fear, envy, hate, or whatever you may be thinking ...why should there be any feeling...maybe I'd have a definite feeling if he actually won, but he didn't, so why? Does there always have to be a feeling about the guy you're facing? Well, if you GOTTA have one, I'll be honest and tell you he impressed me, but that's about it.

[Showtime starts bouncing up and down. He puts his shades back on and looks at Becky through the shades, sounding a bit more determined and focused than normal]

Thorpe: But if you ask ME, I'd say he's lucky he didn't have to face me that night. It's gonna be a completely different story when he and I step in the ring together. My losses to El Guerrero will be far from my mind when McBrady and I lock up in that ring. The Elite X tournament, the Elite X title, the champion-to-be, what you look like naked...all of it will be far, far from my mind once I hear that bell ring.

Serra: Well then, what's going to be on your mind? The things that you should be thinking about, you're not and the things you shouldn't be thinking about...AHEM!

[Looks at Showtime with a stern look, getting his attention away from her breasts and back to her eyes

Thorpe: Ahaha I'm sorry, I'm sorry...but I don't get what you mean, and I don't think you get what I mean...why should all those things be on my mind when the 1st thing I gotta think about it getting my 1st victory here in WZCW? Which brings me to my final point. I'm ready to do whatever it takes to win. I don't think McBrady is, and I don't think he'll be emerging a winner for that simple fact. Now, I've really really gotta get going...I'll definitely be seeing more of you...I mean uh...seeing you later...

[As Showtime winks and walks away, his phone goes off...the cameraman follows...]

Thorpe: Hello? Ah yeah...sorry it's been taking me so long...I got caught in an interview. I'll be out there in just a little bit...[short pause] No, not at all man, I just wanna do what I gotta do...by any means. Which is why I wanted to talk to you. [short pause] Ah, so this won't take long. Now here's how I want it to go down...

[As Showtime continues talking, he notices the cameraman still on him and he cuts his phone convo a little short to deal with his little "problem..."]

Thorpe: My bad man...can you hold on a sec? Thanks...HEY!! I thought I said we were DONE here. Turn it off. Turn it off NOW! You can't listen?!

[The camera just catches a shot of Showtime's foot kicking the camera before the feed cuts. Just before the sound goes out, you can faintly hear Showtime talking to someone...]

Thorpe: Oh...es!! Ya k...w I....lda t...gh... this ....er. Wi.. y... poss... he.. .....dy does... st..d a c...ce! Than........

There is a silver Mustang seen from above trudging along a busy city street, starting, stopping, and changing lanes in a vain attempt to gain needed ground on the road to its destination. The shot rotates around and none other than Tom McBrady is driving, and it doesn't take a genious to see that he is somewhat frustrated with the traffic situation, even underneath his trademark reflecting aviator sunglasses. TM is dressed sharply as usual, in a straight black suit over a black dress shirt with the top few buttons undone. The radio is locked onto a local mix station and TM begins tapping the steering wheel in annoyance. Then merely out of boredom, Tom starts fiddling with the radio dial, going through until he finds something of interest.

Radio Voice: That's right folks, this weekend at the EnergySolutions Arena, WZCW will be holding Meltdown: Episode 7. Tickets can be purchased on TicketMaster.com and by phone at 1-888-TIX-WZCW!

TM turned down the volume and pulled out his cell phone, the current red light that he was waiting at seemed to be taking a half hour, so he decided to call the ticket center for "informational purposes".

TM: Let's see... 1-888... T... I... X... WZCW.

The phone began ringing and a monotone telephone operater answered on the other end, obviously in the middle of a long, boring day himself.

Operator: This is Ticket Master, how may I help you?

TM: Yes... um, how many tickets are left for the WZCW show this weekend?

There was a small pause on the Operator's end, accompanied by the steady pecking and prodding of a plastic keyboard.

Operator: I'm sorry sir, the tickets for that show seemed to sold out.

TM: Oh, alright then.

Operator: Is there any other way I can help you?

TM: No, thanks anyway.

He hung up and smirked; TM wasn't one for talking to himself, but after his loss the week before, this seemed to be the appropriate time for a pep-talk, even to himself. For the first time, we see the back seat of his car, and there is a camera-man wearing a WZCW shirt back there. He has obviously been picked for one of those "Day-in-the-life-of..." kind of things.

TM: Sold out. Wow, a packed house in my second ever WZCW show, some could say that the match that I had at the last Meltdown was the biggest of my career, but back then, nobody had any expectations for TM, nobody believed that I could take the World Champion to the limit for the toughest twenty minutes of his life. But now, I've proven myself to everyone that follows professional wrestling; there are no more doubters or haters to deal with. For the longest time, I went through match after match being overlooked, and underestimated. Forever, nobody would put me in thier minds as the favorite in a match; and that acted as a motivational factor for me. This week, however, I'm going in as the favorite, expected to win. I'm fighting a man who, like me, has yet to win here in WZCW. But that doesn't make us equals, he has not done the things that I have done or fought the opponents I've had to fight. Despite this new-found respect, my work ethic has not changed, nor has my drive to win been softened. I will win this week, but I'm not overlooking my opponent, Nate Thorpe; just fair warning to him, by the way, I won't be holding back.

The red light that he had been waiting for so long finally changed to green, and TM saw that a whole five minutes had past.

TM: Sorry boys, I can't talk anymore. Safety first, you know.

TM placed both hands on the wheel, and sped off, traffic seemed to be clearing up, and the silver Mustang drove all the way out of view, towards Meltdown: Episode 7, and the biggest match of TM's life.
