Joseph Rios vs Tom McBrady

In a shocking move by the owner of WZCW, Chuck Myles has placed debutante Tom McBrady in the main event of the evening. Not only this, but he announced last night that his opponent would be the new WZCW Champion, Joseph Rios. What kind of impact, if any, will McBrady make against the newly cround champion?

Keep all RP's in here.

RP Deadline is September 14th, Midnight US EST.

TM’s RP for Meltdown
Part One:
*A Look Back*

TM: It all started in Phoenix, Arizona.

Video clips of TM during his childhood play in black and white. The young boy with dark hair that is unmistakably TM can be seen climbing trees, playing with his dog, and swimming in a pool.

TM: For years I grew as every boy should.

The little boy goes down a slide, and is caught at the bottom by his father. Then we cut to a shot of TM at his first day of school, he can be seen wearing a little green backpack and a black hat that almost came down over his eyes.

TM: I was taught to work hard….

The monkey bars at a grassy playground are seen being traversed by a gutsy little dark-haired boy, who is guided by his parent.

TM: ….be respectful….

TM’s childhood form comes in contact with his mother, the two share a hug as they slowly spin.

TM: ….and always be positive.

A little girl falls in the middle of a grassy patch. TM follows and helps her up. They run off as the screen fades to black.

TM: However, something went wrong.

Ambulance sirens are heard blaring and there are clips of many different emergency vehicles. The mother that was seen hugging TM seconds before is now on a stretcher being taken out of the house, and a heart-rate monitor beeps.

BEEP

A doctor presses two metal surfaces to the woman's chest.

BEEP

The boy rushes after his mother, crying.

BEEEEEEEEEE.......

Part Two:
*One Last Stop*

A young man stands in the middle of an cemetary overlooking the ocean, a stiff breeze is blowing, and the sky is full of clouds. The man is wearing a black suit and has a thick black coat over him that continues to furiously flutter in the breeze, not much else can be seen as his back is turned towards the shot.

Man: Why?

We move closer to the young man, little by little more can be seen, including the fact that he is holding a single blood-red rose. The headstone that he is standing over is steel gray and looks to be made of marble or granite, the inscription can not be seen.

He tilts his head upaward and the grasp that the young man has on the rose tightens and a couple of petals blow off in the intense breeze. The waves continue crashing off of the cliffs with audible force, as the man begins to kneel down. The shot reverses as his face is finally revealed, it's TM. He puts the rose down on top of the grave and leans forward to kiss the headstone, it says.

Kathleen McBrady:
Born - Died
1965 - 1987

"Lived for life."

R.I.P.

TM bows his head once more in respect for his mother, the one who left him far too early. She had never said or done anything that was in any way derogatory towards him, she just told him to always work hard, and stay positive.

TM: This one's for you.

He stands up and turns around, it was time to forget about this for only a couple of hours. It was time to get back in 'game mode', so he reached in his coat pocket and grabbed his trademark aviator sunglasses. TM took one more look back at the solitary gravesite on this oceanside cliff, with the windy, cold air, and the gray, cloudy sky. He slips the sunglasses onto his face and begins walking back to his silver Mustang, parked on the shoulder of the freeway that leads here.

He takes another look at his watch, only to see that he has plenty of time to get to his flight back to Phoenix, or maybe even make another stop on the way.

The scene opens on the Meltdown Arena, where a sold out crowd is packed in attendance. The pyro goes off to start the show. Backstage we see the new WZCW Heavyweight Champion Joseph "The Main Event" Rios walking into the arena dressed in a pair black slacks and green button up shirt and sunglasses with his title drapped over his shoulder. A chorus of boos rains over the crowd at the sight of him. Becky Serra approaches him with a mic in her hand.

Serra: Well hello champ, how....

Rios puts his finger up as if to stop her mid sentance.

Rios: Listen to these people chant my name

Rios lifts his head up to listen the crowd and instead of hearing his name he there is nothing but boos. Rios laughs as he pulls Serra's mic to his mouth.

Rios: It doesn't really matter what these idiots think! The fact of the matter is that I am your new Heavyweight Champion!

Rios smiles as he passes the mic back to Serra.

Serra: Well that may be tru Champ, but tonight you are taking on a man that nobody has gotten an oppurtunity to see yet in the ring. How can you possibly prepare for that?

Rios: You seem to be forgetting Becky, I am the man! This title that is over my shoulder proves that. Rios points to the title. I got in the ring with 2 other men and I came out victorious. I didn't cheat, I didn't stretch the rules, the fact is that I was the better man. I got in there with 2 of the best that WZCW has to offer and single handled beat them both.

Serra: Well there is no denying that, but that still doesn't explain how you prepare for tonights match.

Rios: Listen here sweetheart, tonight McBrady is getting the chance of a lifetime by being in the main event, hell he is really lucky that he is getting the chance to face me. Personally I think I should have the night off. I mean I am the franchise of this company and they already want to see me in the ring. But I can't blame the front office guys too much, I mean I am the only reason why people tune into this damn promotion.

Serra: But Mr Rios you still haven't said how you prepare for this match.

Rios: Are you not getting the point?! I don't need to prepare! I am the top dog, I am the Alpha Male! I am the one that puts the asses in those seats out there. Its like one of the all time greats once said, "In order to be the man, you have to beat the man!" And I don't plan on losing anytime soon. This title that I have is not going anywere for a long time, so people are just going to have to get used to it. I am going to reign supreme in WZCW for many years to come, and tonight is just another night for me. McBrady isn't going to be a challenge. He will fall prey just like the others have. Tonight McBrady gets a first hand look at why they call me "The Main Event!" And if he is not careful his WZCW career may be over before it even gets a chance to start!

Rios pushes the mic down as he puts his sunglasses back on and adjust his title on his shoulder and walks away.

Later on that night the Champ is shown getting dressed for his match with McBrady. He is lacing up his black boots when his cell phone rings.

Rios: Hello?

Caller: Hey Joe, How are things going?

Rios: Its alright man. Just getting ready for my match tonight.

Caller: Damn they got you wrestling tonight? Even after your title win?

Rios: Yeah. I told you that the corporate guys were jealous of me. They all wish they had half the talent I have.

Caller: Hey man I don't remember if I got a chance to congratulate you on your title win. So I wanted to do that, thats why I called you.

Rios: Thanks man. I told you that there was no doubt that I would be walking out with the title that night. People keep doubting me and I keep proving them wrong. I will continue to do that for as long as I please and there is nothing that they can do about it.

Caller: I hear that bro. But check it, give me a call later on tonight when you leave and we can meet up and hit the club up of something. You know all the ladies will love it if The Champ blesses them with your prescence.

Rios: You damn right, iight I will call you up. By the way tell Victoria that I will see her sexy ass tonight, can't wait to get a piece of that again.

Caller: Iight man I will let her know, I am sure she will be happy to hear you are putting her back on the rotation. Talk to you later bro

Rios: Aight peace

Rios hangs up the phone and continues to lace his boots when there is a knock at the door. He places his title on the table as he gets up and answers the door. With the camera angle you can't see who is at the door.

Rios: Well I am glad that you thought over what I said.

That is all that you hear as the camera fades out to black
