Enough Is Enough

Hes only sucked since 2005. Batista drew whatever talent triple h had in him out. Trips then got fat and tore his quad again. Although the year 2003 was not kind to old Trips

People blamed Cena when he was champ and RAW was getting 3.9's so why wouldn't that logic come into play with HHH and the 3's?

I agree that Trips has something to do with the declining ratings. But its not all on his head. You have Vince who has clearly lost his fucking mind and a writing team that couldnt write a childrens show. Plus the fact that trips is better as a heel. Turn him heel and ratings would probably increase a little.

How about we all just agree that the guy has passed his prime and is now on the decline of his career, hopefully he retires before he's 50... or 65 even

Hmm...wasn't that about the time he married Steph?, so what your saying is that he married Steph and then woke up the next day and all of a sudden he just plain sucked

No, he's sucked ever since he came back from his first quad injury. He was a badass in 2000/2001, then it all went downhill.

I hated Trip's during his 500 year WHC run because of his straightened hair, and his ironed suits. Sorry, but Triple H with golden blonde straight hair and a nice ironed down blue suit loses every time to the Triple H with a leather/jean-jacket combo and light blue jeans.

So the only thing that matters is the wrestlers appearance then?, cause I judged how much I like a wrestler based on what they did in the fucking ring and to a lesser extent their ability to talk, not what the wore to the fucking ring or how their stupid fucking hair looks

Justin. You should know better tsk.. tsk.. tsk. A wrestlers appearance is everything. Hell we all know the reason Bret Hart was so over was because he wore pink.

I'm in the same boat as you are. I would kill for half of the superstars around to be pushed more simply because of their talent. Hell, I would love for Brian Danielson to be WWE champ. He doesn't have the great appearance (he looks rather plan, but has tremendous talent as a wrestler). That is a reason why I hate WWE. They push for gimmicks, promos, appearance, and not as much skill in the ring. I idolize actual wrestlers, and I do not need to list them for I'm sure you know the type I'm speaking about

First off, Triple H has never been the greatest wrestler, by no means. And if you sensed the sarcasm, I wasn't actually being serious in my comment. Honestly, I don't like Triple H either way. I just figured I'd get a comment in on this, and say that I liked his character better during that jean-wearing period because wrestling, as far as WWE goes and as far as the industry and business goes, was better back then.

u take dat back. Twipple H is de bestz wreztler evah.

Seriously?? You think wrestling was better back then?? Maybe storyline wise but today the matches are so much better. I will take Benoit vs. Michaels vs. HHH anyday over whats in your sig. I call that match a finisher fest.

ROFLMAO, Bryan Danielson as WWE champion?!?, please we are nowhere near being in the same boat, Danielson is about as bland and overrated as it gets, not nearly as good as everybody claims he is

What MM said.

Damn striaght, matches are so much better now. I was just watching WWE vintage, the show that replaced heAt on TV. The matches now are heaps better in comparison.

You just dont get it do you.

He was trained By Shawn Michaels....

SHAWN FRICKING MICHAELS

Pluse he is in ROH. And we all Know that ROH>WWE

My only gripe with Cena is with how long they kept the title on him. And i didn't hate the guy, not even then, and i understood why they kept it on him. hell the guy was selling tickets and giving the show ratings, it just got old fast watching the guy fight the same challengers over and over again. (which is what's happening on Smackdown with edge right now, but that's another subject)

Trips is decent, but was better 5 years ago. He's still exciting to watch in the ring, but his promos lack what they had in years past. Hrmm...train of thought led me somewhere...maybe he can only give good promos when he's pissed off. Let's piss the Trips off again and maybe he'll give us some good material on the mic again. What do you think? probably not, but it was an idea.

Exactly. Ive stated before and Im sure most agree that trips is more exciting as a heel. But I still wouldnt put the title on him again.

I meant the industry, and storyline wise. Wrestling is a business, which I said was ultimately better back then. More fans, higher ratings, better storylines, etc. Give me the Triple H/Angle/Stephanie love triangle over the shit they produce with who is in your sig. :)

Generalization? You're assuming, by putting that in your post, that I think Danielson is great because he was trained by HBK. That's not the case. I like Danielson because of his in ring ability and his technical wrestling ability.

And no, I do not believe 'ROH>WWE' since ROH tends to be just doing acrobatic stunts over and over. You can't really compare ROH and WWE because they are really two different types of feds. They attract two different types of crowds.

i cant stand ccen a he is always the wwe champion and he is so annoying he does have good mic skills but he is boring and is booed at very wrestlemania i order no matter who he faces at wrestlemania he is always booed he could be faceing a crapy wrestler like the zombie dood from ecw

You know it was true.

Trips has only been terrible since his return in 2002. He was damn good in 97 up to the knee injury in 98, and still pretty respectable during his first big run.

Justin, he started sucking in 2002 because his quad was shit, it just happens that it coincided with Steph.

Fair enough, I just wish people would stop saying the only reason he ever accomplished anything was due to the fact that he married Steph, I will admit he plays the politic game and has a tendency to hold people down and even that his current reign is rather boring but people should give the guy some damn credit, he was good, and his marriage to Steph is not the reason he has been so successful

John Cena has always aggravated me because hes good in the ring and good on the mic however the material hes given on the mic is so unbelievably shitty it almost makes you forget that his delivery and charisma are great and keeps your focus on the stupid poop jokes he says.

and for Triple H, Im biased about Triple H because he was what got me into wrestling from the start so I dont like to discuss his issues, all Ill say is my opinion can change if he becomes unwilling to put guys like Kennedy and MVP over when its their time. however right now theres no one thats ready but when that time comes he best be ready

Yeah but it helped, didn't it? Common sense here; without all the backstage pull he has, being Mr. Stephanie McMahon, he would not, speculative, gone on to win the World title 10 times. Why? The same people he held down all those years, would have broken through the glass ceiling. The guy was good until his quad injury, then he became fat and sloppy with his in-ring work because he started to coast. He knew he had the backstage pull, why bust his ass? This coincidently, happened gradually in sync with the decline of the creative team. His marriage occurred in 2003; his worst year but that can also be attributed to his various injuries, yet he still refused to drop the title to anyone but Goldberg and for only a month before he finally dropped it to Benoit an year later, only by the grace of some miracle.

HHH nowadays is in better shape than the HHH post quad injury return but his character, like Cena's, has lost its edge. Cena was the shit as a heel on SmackDown, some even called him the next Rock, cutting satirical promos and damn right entertaining as a heel. Then they brought him over to RAW, made him into a cartoon character, stripped him of the content that made him a star and catered him towards the children's audience, simultaneously shoving it down the throats of fans from the Attitude Era and ignoring what THEY wanted to see on RAW, and who they wanted as champion, who just happened to not be softcore Cena so a part of those fans turned into the "Cena Sux" nation and the other part stopped watching wrestling altogether, which explains how RAW went from 6.0 to 3.0.

Who is to blame for Cena and HHH haters? People who dislike HHH haters can blame The Game himself, who although smart and talented, is a back stabbing piece of shit, just like his wife. And who do people that dislike all the Cena haters blame? The creative team and by extension, VKM. I will be the first one to say Cena has never, nor will he ever be my favorite wrestler but the man is a work horse and has never, reportedly, buried anyone behind their back. The only time he ever talked in a negative light about anyone was The Rock, but he did it in an interview, in the open. Cena does what they tell him, to my knowledge, he doesn't politic to get his way, his arduously long title reign was justified because of what a cash cow he was, unlike HHH.

Look at HHH's best year; 2000, also the best year for the WWF, ever, yet who does WWE have to thank for it? The Rock. Not HHH, HHH was a great instrument, sure, he was the main antagonist of the McMahon Helmsley era, the storyline in the company's most creative and lucrative year but he was not the one putting asses in seats. HHH has never been a proven draw; his big babyface title win at Wrestlemania was overshadowed by Hogan/Rock, true proven draws. To this day, people talk about Hogan/Rock but you don't hear people clamor for HHH's title win over Y2J.

Ironically enough, I like HHH the wrestler better than Cena the wrestler, but I do respect Cena the person, whereas I have no respect whatsoever for Paul Lavesque (sp?)

John Cena needs to have at least a half a year when he is there to not hold the title. Why? because if he holds it again you sort of go not again. I always found Cena as a better challenger than a champion. At least as a Face. I haven't seen a Heel run from him so it may be time to switch it up a bit. At least I hope they get rid of the fucking Spinner Belt. I hate it. And If that rumour is true and you know what happens I hope to hell they do not put you know what on You Know who and the Belt is changed. The Big Belt is a classic title that should stay roughly the same. I saw it up close and you can feel the Tradition and the prestige radiating off of it.

I'm with you on that one, the Big Gold belt needs to stay the same. I used to doubt they would ever change that belt, but WWE has never taken tradition into consideration first. I just read that rumour, which is just a rumour, and I don't even think it will happen. The big gold belt should be fine.

honestly john cena wasn't as bad as everyone made him out to be, yeah i know he rubs people the wrong way because he raps his own theme, he has a limited move set, and his gimmick, while not currently apparent, was bad he did do some good work as champ. although i thoroughly agree with Shadow that he is better as a chaser than as a champ. His feud with Edge was pretty decent and it had enough moments to keep everyone happy, in the fact that, cena got destroyed after his chamber match, by edge, who is, as someone else has said, very e-mazing, then u got cena as usual making fun of lita and whatever sti of the week he decided she had, then we had cena snap, kick the shit out of edge, throw him in the sea, and then knock the holy hell out of him in the TLC match, which i felt Cena actually sold almost as much a Edge, its only when creative and other wrestlers (Kurt Angle) screw him over un/intentionally,that we start saying Cena sucks.

And on a side note, while HHH is not as good as he used to be, to solidify the ratings of SD in this transitional period, having a recognised star like him hold the WWE Championship is a smart idea, and it allows them to prepare for a newer direction, by giving someone like Jeff Hardy a chance to earn his way back, or for the development of the character of THE Brian Kendrick, or for MVP to finally step up
