Vickie got a great send off and it's the real tradition if you are respected... you get a "humiliating exit".
Forget the "Naitch" style send off, that is a new thing and only for HOF level talent... but if you're really loved or respected they give you time on TV and a fun way out.
Remember Vickie took a job for Eddie's original deal, rather than sit at home and collect. What Steph "called pity" is actually respect...cos Vickie then EARNED her own deal for herself. That's a big thing, to be a complete novice coming into an environment in tragic circumstances and not only do decently but become a great character in your own right. We'd never have had Vickie as a character had Eddie lived and while it's not a fair trade, it's certainly something Eddie would have been proud of and it showed that WWE was proud of too. In a time where they're labelled cynical for cutting talent and costs and ignoring their talent the WWE showed that they DO remember good service and in Vickie's case it could come again when her daughter is on the roster for a while... It was a fitting way to remember why she was there in the first place, Steph "summing up her career" and to of course honour Eddie as well... The only possible way it could have been better was if Chavo showed up to back her up... but it wasn't needed.. she finally "grew a spine" and to her credit Steph sold it brilliantly... the signing to the realisation of her position was again a great compliment to Vickie and check the footage after from the Divas... they all wanted to hug her, however dirty etc she was one of them without being allowed to be.
Not sure the HOF will ever happen for Vickie BUT I don't think many people would be sad to see it and if Koko, Pete Rose and Drew Carey can be in there, then so can she...
