I thought McMahon and Rhodes did a great job in finally booking the ECW originals in a 4 way dance, extreme rules match!
It was entertaining, even though it was short.
It gives just a glimpse of what the old ECW was.
I just hate the fairweather fans reactions to ECW though, I wish they would have either stayed in Philly all the time or stayed at the Hammerstein Ballroom all the time.

i loved the match, i hope ecw starts being extreme instead of lame, my mouth dropped from that piledriver, i thought it was on the banned list, can someone explain? but overall the match was awsome, felt like old ecw

The piledriver is on the banned list, but there are a handful of wrestlers they allow to use the move a certain occasions, guys that have proven they can deliver the move without hurting anyone through out there careers, like Dreamer, Lawler, Taker, etc. also the more they don't use the move the more amazing it is when they do decide to use it, especially when you got a guy that can sell it like RVD, to be honast, even though this was a great match I would have rather seen it next week, think about it, they could have it be the first match on the card giving it more time, and makeing it a better match, then they could have the winner advance on to face Vince later on in the night for the Title, that way it would it would give Vince the advantage of being fresh and his oppenent would be beaten up already from the Extrem rule fatel 4-way match, then Vince could have Umaga come out and interfere

Ha Ha, yeah the Dreamer Piledriver was awesome.
I also liked the superplex through a person and a table spot.
Doesn't everyone agree that Sabu's chair throws are the most devistating in the buisness. I've always went "Ohhh!" everytime I see it, even after all these years!

Even though three of the guys in the match are old and burnt out for the most part, I still was highly surprised and entertained by the match. I saw shades of the old ECW come out in little doses (amen to the piledriver), but before and after it, the show was surrounded by the typical WWE $hit. Each day I wake up and want to kick McMahon's nutsack even harder (somehow this desire manages to increase each day...even still). The WWE ring ropes need to be replaced with cable before Sabu breaks his goddamn neck Hayabusa style. Too much give because the ropes are designed for better rebound for the larger ********s who have to run all day and repeat their clothesline-centric offense.

^Totally agree with you Kasey.

As for the match itself, a couple weeks or months ago someone had reported that Vince didn't believe that the ECW Originals didn't have enough star power, and in turn was going to bury them. Now... I would like for everyone to do a little experiment, for those that watched ECW last night, and when the highlights get posted on Hardcore Hangover. Listen to the fan reaction during all three of the New Breed scenes. Note the LACK OF CROWD REACTION. Now, watch the build up for the Fatal Four Way, but skip the Vince McMahon BS. Listen to the fan reaction the whole way through the match. I hope to hell that Vince's old age is making him def, as only a def person could not hear the reaction. When I watched the match, I not only saw shades of the old ECW, I saw four men, work a match. At a fast pace. This is the type of thing that wrestling today is missing, people are overselling moves. The old ECW wasn't really about selling basic moves, it was about selling the most devastating ones. A back body drop may hurt... but maybe for a second or two. The Originals used some basic moves on each other, but the action was fast paced, and not too many overselling was being done, rather, just enough selling for you to feel the impact, and then turn your attention to the "what's next" thought.

That wasn't close to anything E.C.W did. They would of gave a match like that 30 minutes. On top of all that, the match came off very sloppy. It was like 5 minutes or so on tv. The worst part is RVD won but we all know some how he is going to job to Mcmahon since he didn't sign that contract. E.C.W's hardcore style is 10x's better than that. It broke barriers and worked with fan interaction. Thats what special about old E.C.W, the fans actually got involved in match by handing there chairs and etc. It made them feel like they were apart of the show.

I still don't understand, if McMahon doesn't think they can draw, why doesn't he listen to the crowd reaction as a few people have said? Also, how many main events in a row have the Originals been in and look at the promos they showed by all of them on RAW, their "A" show? RVD is featured prominantly on WWE.com and they are always advertising new merchandise from them.

RVD, Sabu, Dreamer, Sandman, even Balls are established characters. They have a track record and fan base. It would be such a waste to just throw them away. If they were really given the choice of keeping either Sabu or Matt Striker, or Tommy Dreamer or Kevin Thorne, who would they pick? Nothing against those two New Breed guys, but they have nothing on the Originals now, in terms of popularity and experience.

I loved what I saw of the match. I though I was seeing the end of it when I turned the TV on, but I guess it was only a 5 minute match anyways:P I can see Vince winning via DQ next week, and then defending the title at JD. I can then see RVD winning the title as an act of good faith to try to get RVD to resign. Think about it, why else would Vince give RVD any kinda push if he turned down a contract, unless he loses an I Quit match or somthing like that, and has to sit the rest of his contract out. But I can honestly see RVD resigning, if he hasn't already, and they're keeping one of those rarely kept secrets they do somtimes...

I would say that the match was great I am sure a lot of people tuned in on Tuesday to see what was gonna happen and by giving fans a great match, although it was a short one, We the fans have something to look forward to next week!! I haven't watched ECW Regularly in a while mostly due to ELijah Burke not nessasarily the New Breed cause I like Cor Von and Kevin Thorne. So I guess they hit the Nail on the Head when they made ELijah a Heel , now they look like they are making Matt Striker is a Reluctant part of the New Breed but will stay cause he knows thier is Strengh in Numbers Maybe bring in a couple of more people who can make the New Breed a real hated Faction without a lot of Air time. All in All one hour is good but I would love for them to go to the WWE Standard of 2 hours or keep all the Promos brief.

To DC,
the reaction was larger because the match was an extreme match, compared to the New Breed going up against..who? some brother team thats gonna be up for a week. Also the Originals are faces, the New Breed are heels, the crowd didnt know how to react while they were dissenting and fighting and stuff. There was a reason the Original stuff was saved for the main event, cause they wanted abigger reaction. And they got what they wanted.

To Avrice,
Elijah has always been a heel, since he came into the WWE and started on Smackdown with Sylvester Turkey..so...yeah

I enjoyed this match, though it wasn't a true 4 way dance (or any kind of dance) seeing as how it was only 1 fall to a finish. But the action was good. Old ECW shined through somewhat at times, like the superplex through the table with Sandman laying on it. I think we all knew that RVD was going to win and I'm pretty sure he's going to job to Vince next week. I would have liked to see maybe Dreamer win and then go on next week to win the title, then have Dreamer/RVD for the belt with RVD winning in an extreme rules match. But I will tune in next week to see the inevitable outside interference causing RVD to lose scenario.

How can you call that match a good match? 5 minutes given into it with one big spot at the end. That match sucked compared to the other types of matches in original E.C.W. BTW, if Vince wants to do a 4 way dance do it right. In ECW a 3 way dance or any type of dance match went by elimination style. However Vince wanted to put a squash and two short matches on instead of directing his attention to what could of been a good main event for ''WWE Standards''.

in Responce to TNA Smark, I call it a good match cause it was a good match for the Limited time the ECW Originals had in the ring. they made the most of a situation. this was a Hard Core match which means they knew how to sell moves and knew what moves to sell . Also yes this wasn't a real true to ECW Dance I wish they would let that come back on the PPV so people would see what a True Dance is. One Day I hope TNA garners my attention enough to watch it more than click on see what is up with Impact and enjoy it, It would mark the day when Impact had pushed the Envelope enough for people to take notice and for WWE to take even more Notice and step up the Bar once again! Wreslte WAR!! Bring in ROH and let's make this a THREE WAY DANCE!!!

To Basically Everyone:

All i have to say is: Stop Crying. "WAH its not like the old ECW"...blah blah blah. It will never be the old ECW so stop comparing the two. It is WWE owned and it is just a 3rd brand wearing the ECW name. I say again it will NEVER be what it used to be because you just don't see that extreme stuff anymore. It's a shame i know, but its the truth. The match was good, it was hardcore and it made the crowd happy to finally see some weapons in ECW. I accept the match for what it was and i thought it was entertaining.

Well Said Live Wire I am enjoying this for what it is the WWE Vision of ECW and not Paul Haymens Vision, I really enjoyed Paul Haymens Vision but am starting to appreciate some of the Matches some of these new ones are putting on I am not backing the new breed but I do Like CM Punk, Mike Knox has Potential, Kevin Thorne, and of course Cor Von.

The New Breed vs. The ECW feud is probably the best Storyline that thr WWE has to offer i nominate it as the FEUD OF THE YEAR in the WWE. It lays the ground for future ECW Main Eventers like CM PUNK, Marcus Con Vorn, Elijah Burke, Kevin Thorn and Matt Striker incase that RVD and company leaves ECW for TNA.

My only problem with the Originals vs. New Breed fued is how fast its going by...way too fast

That was besides my point. My point was they show not wear the E.C.W name because it just tarnishes the legacy of E.C.W. They are poisoning the minds of the younger viewers by showing them this crap instead of what the true E.C.W was. Hopefully next week Rob Van Dam hurts Vince by accident and he'll need to take a hatius from wrestling. The match was good for what it was but it could of been bigger than what it was.
