Dream Match

Hi! What is your all time dream match that never happened? I am asking for top 5 btw. It can be past superstar vs present superstar. It can be anything. You can choose to put the superstars in their prime or not.

Top 5 dream matches in no particular order just 5 top, taking it to account what would sell and also realistic time scales eg. No andre the giant vs John Cena

HBK vs The Rock (2003)
Hulk Hogan vs Stone Cold Steve Austin (2000)
Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Goldberg (2001)
Sting vs The Undertaker (2011)
John Cena vs Hulk Hogan (2006)

mine in a personal intrest order
1.rock vs hbk
2.taker vs sting
3.austin vs punk
4.bret hart vs kurt angle
5.dx vs nwo war games

DX vs nWo war games or survivor series match

Bret Hart vs Kurt Angle

Goldberg vs Undertaker

Sting vs HBK

Austin vs Hogan

I have only one dream match which I think should have happened. John Cena vs Steve Austin. This match will surely be the best marketable match. The arena will be completely sold out. These two are the top superstars of their time. Their popularity is also untouchable. This is the greatest match in my dreams.

#5 Lou Thesz V Kurt Angle - the trash talk would be amazing

#4 Daniel Bryan V Kurt Angle - both at their best in the mid 2000s would have been classic.

#3 Andre The Giant V George Hackenscmidt - would have loved to see how George would handle the Giant - also if it was post 1929, would love to see how George handled being booked to lose - very intriguing....

#2 Brock Lesnar V Frank Gotch - pre booked era - straight out wrestling match - that would be amazing.

#1 Bret Hart V Kurt Angle - yep Kurt again; it's damn true. You could write this feud for a year and it would've been gold every single damn week - culminating at a WM.

Bruno Sammartino(late 1960s) vs Brock Lesner(current)

Ric Flair(mid 80s) vs Daniel Bryan(current)

Midnight Express(Lane version) vs The Hardys

Undertaker(late 90s) vs Andre

Jack Briscoe vs Bret Hart in their prime

HBK vs STING......

The face of WWE at the start of the Attitude Era vs WCWs face......

Kurt Angle vs Bret Hart

Daniel Bryant vs Owen Hart

Brock Lesnar vs Bobby Lashley

The Rock vs Randy Orton.....

The top two 3rd generations wrestlers of all time and have never faced each other.....

The Rockers vs the Stan Lane Midnight Express.....

Dean Ambrose vs Roddy Piper in a dog collar.....

Andre the Giant Prime vs Big Show drop kicking Prime

Stone Cold (1998) vs Hulk Hogan (1987)

Two biggest draws of all time at their peak who never went head to head. The actual time they could have made this happen would have been 2002 at WM18.

Stone Cold (1998) vs Goldberg (1998)

These guys basically looked identical and were the top babyface of rival promotions at the exact same time. Some kind of match in 1998 would have been huge. But also could have happened in 2001 during the invasion.

Bret Hart (1992) vs Kurt Angle (2001)

Two of the best in ring workers of all time. Their timelines never crossed over - so it's not like there's a missed opportunity here. But this would have been one hell of a match.

Sting (1997) vs Undertaker (1999)

Early crow Sting vs the Ministry Undertaker would have been ideal. Lots of mind games and whatnot leading up to the match. The build would actually be better than the match itself. Realistically they could have done it any time after 2001 if they could have convinced Sting. Or in one month at WM31.

I'm gonna stay away from the usual answers, which are most of the ones mentioned in the above posts.

Taz (1996) vs. Ken Shamrock (1997)
Back when Taz had his reputation as a shooter, a killer and Ken Shamrock was known as "The World's Most Dangerous Man". They made the shoot style gimmick famous in pro-wrestling and I would love to have seen Taz take on Shamrock when he was at the top of his game and considered the top MMA fighter in the world at the time. I would put them in a Lions Den match, it's a fitting environment for those two.

Jerry Lynn (1999) vs. Chris Jericho (2000)
Two mid-carders who were very popular with the fans and would have put on a wrestling clinic had they ever met. I'm surprised they never faced each other, they've been in WWE, WCW, ECW and all around the world, how have they never crossed paths?

John Morrison (2010) vs. Adrian Neville (2014)
This would be an incredible high-flying match. Both guys are extremely athletic and I could see these two pulling off all sorts of crazy flips, moves that make them twist & turn, parkour, cartwheels, handstands etc. This still does stand a chance of happening one day and I pray Morrison returns to the WWE one day and he steps in the ring with Neville on NXT.

The Steiner Brothers (1995) vs. The Eliminators (1995)
I've heard these two teams have actually crossed paths in ECW but it was in 6-Man Tag Team matches, never a regular tag team match. The Steiners and Eliminators are two of my favourite tag teams, for 4 big guys they could do absolutely anything in the ring and wrestle any style.

The Mega Powers (Hulk Hogan & Randy Savage) (1988) vs. The Two Man Power Trip (Stone Cold Steve Austin & Triple H) (2001)
This is one I thought of recently and should've put in my Wrestlemania fantasy card in the "Book your fantasy Wrestlemania card" thread. The Mega Powers were the ultimate super babyface tag team and The Two Man Power Trip were the ultimate super heel tag team. Miss Elizabeth and Stephanie McMahon in each team's corner also spices things up. Imagine if The Two Man Power Trip had destroyed the beloved Miss Elizabeth with steel chairs back in the day, they probably would've caused a riot, Austin and Triple H were just that damn ruthless and evil together.

In no real order and for the most part all in their prime, mine would be
The Rock vs Randy Orton
The Rock vs Shawn Michaels
Shawn Michaels vs Eddie Guerrero
DX(HBK&HHH) vs Brothers of Destruction
Goldberg vs Stone Cold (tied with) Jeff Hardy vs Seth Rollins vs Edge vs CM Punk

For me my top 5 dream matches of all time are:

5. Rock vs HBK

4. John Cena vs Hulk Hogan

3. Daniel Bryan vs Ricky Steamboat

2. Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Hulk Hogan

1. Bret Hart vs Kurt Angle

Some others that would have been great to see is Andre the Giant vs Big Show; Bray Wyatt vs Cactus Jack; Jake Roberts vs Bray Wyatt; and HHH vs Macho Man Randy Savage.

My #1 of all-time is The Rock vs. Randy Orton. Quite frankly I don't know why it hasn't happened but it should and at WrestleMania 32.

Another one would be Stone Cold vs John Cena to find out who the bigger legend is. If it ever happens WrestleMania 32 would be perfect for it. But it won't which brings me to my next one.
-
Roman Reigns vs. John Cena-The face of the Ruthless Aggression and PG era vs the face of the current era. The passing of the torch with Cena FINALLY turning heel before hand.

My final two are....

Punk vs Austin (Obviously won't happen.) And Rollins vs Reigns vs Ambrose (Summerslam 2015)

Sting (1994) vs. HBK (1996)
Both guys at the apex of their career. Both could go the distance in a match cardio wise and not look stale. While I wouldn't suggest an iron match, something like a 30 minute long cage match would have been epic at the time.

Would love to see a 6-man, no holds barred tag match between all of these guys in their prime or present day in the case of one:

Roddy Piper, Dean Ambrose, Brian Pillman vs. Cactus Jack, Bruiser Brody, Abdullah the Butcher.

3 guys who played the loose cannon gimmick well in each of their respective eras matching up against a team of hardcore legends. It'd be a beautiful bloodbath.
