Domestic football - spam version

But as you've pointed out, Man Utd haven't really spent this season. They've basically broke even with the outgoings and incomings. I can't really talk being a Celtic fan but it must be really disappointing, as a Man Utd fan, that they really haven't splashed out a long time before now. With the names of those they were reportedly keen on, Martial is a significant drop in talent and a substantial rise in money. It's panic buying at its worst.

United just signed the French version of Sterling without the domestic player premium who could end up costing more than Sterling depending on sources. A forward that is ill-equipped to be the lone frontman in his current development when they are crying out for another striker to take the burden off of Rooney occasionally.

What's even better is that by the time he's first team ready (if he ever is), Van Gaal will have left. This is Januzaj all over again, the new manager will come in and say "Who the fuck are you" and loan him out.

Manchester United - Anything City can do, we can do stupider

Let me get this straight: Adnan Januzaj is in Dortmund in the hopes that he will get First Team play. WTF is van Gaal smoking? Januzaj will be lucky to see 4-5 matches as a sub on that side. Dortmund is so loaded it is not funny. Kagawa is going nowhere, folks. If van Gaal really gave a shit about Januzaj's development, Januzaj would be suiting up for Anderlecht, Club Brugge or Racing Genk. Januzaj needs PLAYING time, not collecting splinters on his ass.

Someone on Twitter say Man U's deadline day is like a drunk man in Debenhams on Christmas eve.

Man United and Arsenal have become the laughing stocks of this window. So much potential and nothing to back it up. Shocking.

The absolute joke about Man United is that they started the window off like an absolute and utter fucking steam train and I for one believed they were on the cusp of doing the best business in this window. How they have gone from 2 weeks ago been on the verge of signing the CB they needed and getting Pedro in to splashing out 36.5mil on Martial ( Why not Lacazette?) is, well, as a Leeds fans its fucking hilarious.

You have one of the most gifted attacking midfielders in the world today and that idiot doesn't even use him properly. At the start of the window one place everyone felt United were stocked was up top. How has it come to be that now with 6 hours left you have 2 fucking strikers? Ones unproven and one on the decline. Van Gaal has alienated so many members of that team ( to facilitate fucking Rooney) and look at the mess now.

Long live King Louis

I've never thought that LVG was anything special to be honest. He didn't do all much better than David Moyes did, especially given the amounts of money that both managers with given to spend. A 4th place finish with no European Competition to drag them down is not good enough for last season. They haven't bought well enough and are now looking very worse for wear. They really needed to strengthen their defence, something that hasn't really happened with the exception of Darmian; who looks like a solid player. They desperately needed a commanding CB and they haven't accomplished it. And like was pointed out, they now only have Ronney and James Wilson up front... What the fuck has happened there?!

You know it's bad when LVG is saying that Fellaini will be the back-up striker this year.

Exactly Dave. It's a joke that a club of Uniteds standing can't get their business done early on when it was blatantly obvious to every man and his dog what they needed. Now they're stuck with De Gea who they can't play because his head won't be right, they've lost Valdes who could've plugged that gap, have an overweight 300 grand a week player up top, have just paid 36 mil for an unknown frenchman but apparently 21 mil on Pedro was too expensive, and still haven't signed a defender.

Keep smiling though United fans. At least you have those central midfielders you've needed for years now :)

meh I'll happily play De Gea, that man could murder my mother and I'd still love him

But it just shows that there is fuck all point in signing young Spanish players because if they show that they're world class they get pinched by Real or Barca and its bullshit really

Great signing for Southampton in Virgil van Dijk. We could have had him for £8m last year but we said no. Had offered £6m for him.

He's a great player. Sad to lose him but hopefully this new lad coming in will be a good replacement. I think he'll do a good job at Southampton. Forster and Wanyama have been as good as gold since joining that team, so hopefully Van Dijk can thrive too. Plus, there is the added bonus that he has played with both of them before; he should settle nicely.

As you say that Berahino takes a massive huff.

Newcastle also been linked with Mowatt and Byram. Probs bollocks.

I wouldn't have minded losing Byram. Not that I think he's a bad player but I feel he's overrated. Hands off Mowatt Cook and Cooper tho!

How does it feel to know that Newcastle has the third highest net spending in this transfer window in the epl? Is it an indication of the TV money allowing the team to spend more or that you just had no players of value to sell? :lol

We did have players of value to sell, Sisokko, Krul, Perez.

It's the result of the last 3 or 4 years of turning a profit I guess.

"Why don't you like international football any-more Lee?"
