But did you give him game time? Where did you play him?

I'm telling you he had a ripper of a season in the a-league. And before you say its only a-league, it was the quality of his passes and shots that made him stand out. Unlike Adam Taggart, who just signed for fulham. whose goals were all shit or had a stroke of luck in the build up or were against shit teams.

Del Piero has just retired this season, bringing this dramatic battle of wits to a natural conclusion.

The Shola move has died down but who knows with Sydney FC anythings possible. He wouldnt bring a single extra person through the gates. So I have no idea why sydney would even be interested in him

Stefan De Vrij is being linked with Man Utd for 10m.

That's a steal. He was easily one of the best defenders in the World Cup.

I heard that talks with Hummels are ongoing too.

Don't know if it sends the best message to the team that within a few days of Van Gaal saying he'd give them all a few weeks before making any new signings, there are plans to make new signings.

Not surprised though because as much as I like Evans, Jones and Smalling, the closest one to being a reassuring presence at the back is Evans.

He offers more than Michael Bridges surely.

Dundee United rejected a £2 Million deal for our left back Andrew Robertson. I think we've filled our one player gets sold for millions to save us from debt quota so the signs are good for holding onto him unless they come in with some fairly hefty cash.

And west ham have now lost to Sydney 3-1, should I head to the bookies and back West Ham for Relegation or Bottom of the Table?

Pre season games aren't about results, they are about building fitness and gaining a better understanding of tactics throughout the team along with trying out new things in the team. No teams going to look back on their 2-1 preseason win as the defining result of their season.

And it's a bad sign if your league signs older players like Ameobi just to bring in a few fans rather than actually improve the quality of the league.
Basically if you need short term boosts like that to get people into the stadium then your league is shit.

As I pointed out clubs over here wouldnt sign Ameobi. And bringing in former big players brings in fans, more fans = more money, more money = better players. Thats how you improve the quality of your league. Also the players can teach things to the younger players which will then continue to improve the standard of the league as well as improving the national team. The A-league is about to head into its 10th season is cant be world class quality and has to struggle for media attention in comparison to the AFL, NRL and Super Rugby. This hasnt been helped by the launch/reformed T20 cricket comp which can attract the World's best and has found new found success thanks to the English cricket team being complete and utter shit.

Also pre-season does matter, look at Man United's pre-season last year/season and then look at their results. And if your losing 3-1 to a side newcastle united pump 4-0 your in a bit of shit

Villa will be hoping Benteke stays out of any conversation in regards to a transfer.

Any further developments on Hummels and Reus? If one goes they'll be in trouble but both and they'll be right up shit creek without a paddle

No because the rumour was last week that he had his medical so why suddenly this week isn't he having a medical. Why would they fly him out to the states to do a medical? Why not do it at the clubs facilities?

It doesn't make sense.
