Domestic football - spam version

Everton fans basically just proved in a nut shell why they are a small club and always will be. However unlikely, they could still have finished fourth, and given Arsenal often self destruct against shit teams there was a possibility. The players gave it a fair crack of the whip, but it must be demoralising to be playing the best team in the league at home while the crowd doesn't give a fuck.

Is Pulis getting manager of the year now then or what? I wouldn't have been surprised at a draw before the match but the manner of it seems incredible.

I'd fucking hate to be near the end of the season ready to win the league and be cost the title by sloppy defending.

You can't blame Suarez for crying. He's played out of his skin all season, all the defenders have to do is an adequate job, must be incredibly frustrating.

Unless City do the unbelievable and mess up their last two games, it's hard to see it go any other way. A real shame to Liverpool as they really did work for it, just a shame they couldn't go all the way. At least we can credit them for getting back into Champions League football.

That was fucking awesome.

Liverpool would've won the league in 2008/09 if they hadn't had two 0-0 draws with Stoke. I like to remind a Scouse friend I have of this evertime I see him. Now I can mention Pulis' Palace as well.

I still think there is another twist in the tale of the Premier League title this season. I really think that Manchester City are due a defeat and Aston Villa always seem to be the team that upset the Apple cart. In all honesty, I think Manchester City might need to be very careful tomorrow. We'll see.

Same, it goes against all logic and likelihood but I've just got a feeling that City are going to slip up. I'd say it's more likely though that it'll be West Ham and Andy Carroll will turn on Beast Mode to bury them.

Didn't really think about Villa. They do have a habit of lulling the big teams in and then beating them.

Anyone else catch the British press trying to interview Van Gaal today and him ripping them to shreds:

BBC Journalist: What do you know about Man UTD?
Van Gaal: What a stupid question! (laughs) I'm sorry, but what a stupid question. What do I know about Man UTD? They're the biggest club in the world!

Highest fantasy total of the week (in the league) 108 points.
My points total 107.

EDIT: Damn highest points has gone up to 146

Van Gaal seems like a strange choice for Man U. Not only is he not a long-term option, he's also an unrepentant cock that is usually hated by at least half of his players.

If I was United I would wait till the Champion's league final is over before making any decision. If Real loses to Alt. Madrid, Ancelotti will most likely be available. He seem a better fit for a team rebuilding while having title aspirations.

Or they can gamble big and go after Simone, on the verge of accomplishing the most improbable of seasons with Alt. Madrid. Surely winning the league over the two Spanish Giants will count as one of the biggest upsets in recent history.
