But they won on the thing that matters. Two-thirds possession.

I can't remember if Bayern actually had a shot on target?

Still have a horrible feeling that Chelsea will win the thing though but a Madrid derby would be much more fun to watch.

I don't know, watching Jose try and park the bus to keep out Ronaldo and Bale could be good fun.

And yes, Bayern proved the fundamental flaw with Pep (and passing, Spanish style football in general) there is no Plan B, it's all huff and puff until toothless. Also taking off his tall striker to stick an attacking midfielder up front was stupid too, especially when Lahm was putting is half decent crosses.

Pep is overrated. I want to see him take over a team that isn't already close to perfect, or doesn't have the greatest player in the world in it.

Also, I bet Ozil is kicking himself right now...

Question heard at a quiz last night...

Name the two teams to have finished in the top three of the Premiership but as of right now are not in the Premiership.

Okay, umm... Leeds and QPR?

Or possibly one of the Sheffield teams...

Okay....I am right in thinking that Leeds and Blackburn are right, right?

Err...I'm gonna guess Leeds and I am gonna go with something silly like Nottingham Forest.

Don't know if Leeds have ever finished that high in the Premier League. Blackburn have outright won it.

Edit: Leeds finished third in the 99/00 season. Leeds United and Blackburn Rovers should be the correct answer.

Forest and Leeds were the answers the quiz gave, completely overlooking the fact that...

Blackburn have outright won it.

As of right now there are three teams to have finished in the top three but are no longer in the Premier League - Blackburn, Leeds and Forest.

However, that answer could change quite soon if either Villa or Norwich go down.

It smelt of a question that was lifted from another quiz with the quizmaster checking to see if the answer was out of date.

Yeah, it certainly sounds like the answers were before Blackburn went down and, as you said, the person didn't check.

It's funny how people forget that Blackburn were former Premier League Champions.

Yup. Same amount as Man City and 1 more than Liverpool. Leeds were only a season off winning it too, bless 'em.

To be fair, you're not going to read through 20 years of Premier League tables on the assumption that a question might be wrong. Anyone who uses a quiz question with the word "currently" in it though is asking for trouble.

Does the West 'am result mean if (and this season in mind, it's a massive if) Man United win all their remaining games, they are in Europe?

Edit - I fucking jinxed it as soon as I typed the E word. Bloody Larsson.

Fuck Vincent Tan and the calamitous damage he's done to Cardiff City. Cardiff went from a side with a fair amount of potential to an utter laughing stock since his decision making process began to affect the football. Malky wasn't perfect, but he was a lot better than Dave Jones, that's for sure (getting the club to a league cup final within a year, and getting them automatic promotion is miles better than anything Jones did).

The thing that pisses me off the most is the fact that he has the audacity to demand an apology from the fans, whilst, on the contrary, it is he that should be apologising to us.

And let's not forget the bonus controversy and giving work experience employees high positions of power, among many other "hijinks".

The only way he could fuck the Bluebirds more is to do so literally.

And the cherry on top is our inevitable annihilation from Chelsea.

They're that bad we beat them 3-0. Shola and Stevey Taylor on the score sheet (ironically both SHola and Tayls are very much adopted Geordies).
