Domestic football - spam version

I'm so happy right now.

In semi-related news, Moyes is only 14/1 to be sacked next. I don't know if that means the bookies are stupid or the United boardroom are stupid.

No idea why Sam can't be added to the fantasy league. Bleugh.

Great day of football.

United is closer to the relegation zone than the top 4.
Everton is the only unbeaten side so far.
Spurs are better at defending than attacking.
Arsenal is top of the table with the most in form player in the league....and his name is Ramsey.

This is so surreal. I remember after opening week the Arsenal fans were hysterical after ONE loss.

Seems like you sacrificed coverage to me. Not that it matters on a week like this.

De Gea can't even keep a clean sheet against Sunderland - and Rooney, whom I used to replace RVP and free up some cash, is on a yellow card. Wonderful.

It was Liverpool vs. Crystal Palace, if you didn't have at least one of them in your team, you missed out.

There's David Moyes celebrating a goal against Sunderland as if it just got him into the Champion's League final...

I had Sturridge. I've no idea how much Suarez costs but I'd imagine it's Van Persie levels, which is rarely worth it in the long run.

It was Ben Arfa that cost me today, he and RVP. Remy helped though having him as Vice Captain rather than Captain may back fire.

I need Arsenal to batter West Brom for the sake of my fantasy team this week.

Only one reference to Wilshere smoking so far. I saw a comment on football365 that was insinuating that England's disappointing performance in major tournaments was down to random players smoking.

Socrates would prove otherwise.

Thank you West Ham. A blistering second half that showed how average Spurs are when their opponents are properly motivated.

Cardiff always do that. They did it for the Charlton game - i.e. the game in which they earned promotion with a draw - last season as well.

I made the correct choice with my captain this week. Sturridge. That's my only consolation. Fortunately, these bizarre results don't really work in anyone's favour.

I was screaming in the pub when they brought on Ben Arfa "You've ruined my fantasy team this week Pardew!"

Hey guys. Been pretty absent for about a month. Again. I'm doing pretty shit in fantasy. But yeah, first time, so I didn't really expect much. Somebody, maybe Gelgarin I think, told me to pick a few key people and round out the team with folks that will consistently play 90 minutes every game. Which I did, I thought, but people I thought were gonna pan out - like Snograss - didn't. And RVP was great for like...2 weeks. So I finally decided his 14M was too damn expensive, and swapped him out for Giroud and Ramsey instead.

I decided to use my wildcard this week. Too early, do you think? I have a really good team now, in theory. 7 or 8 people on the overall dream team. I didn't plan it that way, but that's how it ended up. I don't know why, but I really like tracking defenses. It makes the games more exciting when you need your teams to keep up clean sheets. I now have Jose Enrique, Fonte, Lovren and Baines. Pretty solid I think. Ramsey and Yaya to lead the midfield, plus Barkley from Everton for some consistent, cheap points. And I decided to switch to 4-3-3 so now I've got Sturridge, Giroud and Remy from Newcastle.

Any feedback would be great.

Also, because I don't live in the UK, I decided this was going to be my year to actually decide on one or two alliances. I really have no strong feelings towards any particularly parts of England. Sorry. I've never been there. I've just supported good teams as a fair weather fan, because I like good soccer. My friend is a Chelsea fan, so I thought about them. I really like Arsenal. Not just because they're #1 right now, but because they have a great team and I was hoping they'd do really well this season. Tottenham has been fun to watch recently. Any ideas?
