I'm not saying there's definitely not going to be a problem with all the French players at Newcastle, there's a shit load of them after all, but I do find some of the media grumbles about this a bit weird. The pundits keep saying things about how these foreigners aren't going to put up as much of a fight. That logic is completely flawed in two ways.
Firstly, it's football, not war, so the French don't give up automatically. Secondly, and this is a key point, if you've moved your family to a foreign country, and quite an out of the way part of it at that, you're not doing it so that you can play against Barnsley and Peterborough, you're doing it to compete in the Premier League. Playing in the Championship would be as hard if not a harder pill for a foreign player to suffer.
