Apparently his heart didn't start beating on its own for two hours. Depending on how long he was deprived of oxygen etc. there is a real chance of a permanent injury here. Some players have come back from this sort of thing - kanu is still going 15 years after a heart bypass, but the prognosis is not good. I hope he pulls through, i do, but this has happened 10 times or so over the past few years. They really need to start regular screenings for this. If anything positive is to come out of this, it should be that.

Michael Owen on Twitter.

One of the worst things about being a footballer is being ill. I've got a sore throat and a bunged up nose but not allowed anything for it!

Seems like loads of people are ill lately. Doesn't help having 4 kids bringing every bug imaginable home from school!

Arsenal above Spurs.

Cisse scores to bring QPR 2-2 with Liverpool.

Man City beat Chelski.

Looking good for ze Toon.

I didnt see the Spurs game, so I guess I am at risk of putting my foot in my mouth here, but as someone that doesnt rate Jermaine Defoe as world class, I have to ask, why does Redknapp hate him so much? I can just about understand him being benched for Adebayor (sp?) actually, no I cant really understand it at all, Adebayor couldnt hold up a bank most of the time, but Saha as well? Fucking hell. Van Der Vaart started apparently, and scored (surprise, surprise) which was nice, because Saha and Adebayor have been a pretty crap partnership, and apart from Newcastle goalless as well I think. Defoe will at least crop up with a goal. I've been saying this for well over a year now, but stay at Spurs Harry, please.

Watched the City match, they deserved the win, Carlos always plays a part against Chelsea, a fact of which I am now painfully aware thanks to the commentators drumming it into my head. Is there a way I can turn them off but keep the rest of the sound on?

Oh sheet, Liverpool drew. Was certain they had it in the bag, that is quite funny.

I cannot wait to hear what Daglish has to say.

Im actually having an argument on facebook with a "friend" over Liverpool not playing on the day of the hillsborough memorial.
