Domestic football - spam version

I've seen Zlatan play quite a number of times and the only time I can recall him playing anywhere near as good as he apparently is was at Euro 2004 when he scored that fluky back heeled goal.

On Sven - I'm with you that he did a good job at England and City. Everywhere since then - Mexico, Cote d'Ivoire, Leicester - he's been embarrassing and got a huge payoff.

On Klinsmann - I think the general senitment in Germany was that he was the figurehead and Loew was the brains of the operation. He did a pretty bad job at Bayern. I think it's worth seeing how he does in America before making any judgements. Also, the press would have a fucking field day if England appointed a German over Harry.

Ivory Coast will always be shocking underperformers, but yeah I agree, its like I said, I think the guys a spent force, I just feel a bit bad for all the shit he takes when he actually was pretty good.

I've only really see the Germans play, I guess it makes sense though, they are better under Lowe then they were under Klinnsman, I'd still rather have Klinnsman than Redknapp, it'll never happen but it would be hilarious.

I am one of the few non Tottenham fans that like Harry, him being the first English manager in the Champions League for years added to that, it was nice to be properly represented again, but then you see Jermaine Defoe on the bench in favour of Saha, Dawson on the bench for King and Kaboul, Bale free roaming when he should be watching his left flank because of THEO WALCOTT! Of all people. Lennon on the bench. It's eyebrow raising even for me.

Martin O'Neil is quality.

No he's not, he'#s having a nervous breakdown, read his interviews this week. Hardly would say he's quality.

Yup lets throw the racism out here. This isn't the bar room you know.

What did you think it meant, out of interest?

Messi is as good at football, as Tyldesley and Townsend are bad at commentary. At least the ITV lot are in a studio this time and not lurking on the side of the pitch.

I always knew it meant jew, but it sort of picked up a less offensive meaning between my friends.

Lulz, at the Emirates Cup back in August my guy in front of me threw a bottle of water at Robbie Savage during the ad break. We thought he'd lose it, but Keown had to calm him down.

Wasn't it the pairing of Savage and Keown when Keown got twatted by a ball in a warm up? I think before the game with Leeds?

Edit: Yes, yes it was

The one where he pointed out that more fouls came from Newcastle players than Sunderlands? Match was a bit rough and ready but I think the facts might actually back him up there actually. Sessegnon was an idiot and Lee Cattermole is a cunt but what else is new?

Nope, I said I am a non Tottenham fan. The Gills are my one and true love, they get me all dissapointed in preparation for International tournaments.

This will mean nothing to anyone, but as a fan of Championship Manager 01-02, I can't tell you how proud I am to see Dionisis Chiotis and Kim Kallstrom on opposite sides in the knockout stage of the Champions League.

Always thought it was sad that Andri Sigporsson never lived up to his epic goal scoring form of CM 99-00

I had a player called Anastaisios Skalidis, and I think over 4 seasons at Liverpool he scored 150 goals, including an 8 month spell out with a broken leg.

My greatest achievement was probably winning the Champions League twice in 3 years with Sweden's AIK. No matter how much money I made, I could never spend more than 6 million on a player, so I became the don of free transfers, bringing in Robben to complete the squad.

Earlier in my career there I brought in a load of ageing legends, so by the time I won the Champions League, my coaching staff included Vieri, fat Ronaldo and Zidane. Meanwhile, Henrik Larsson carried on playing until he was 48 in the Swedish Second tier.

I had a liverpool save where Gerrard didn't retire until he was 39. I kept giving him a one year extension every march. By the end he was only able to go for one half of every game but he still chipped in with a few goals every season.
My best achievement so far is winning the champion league with Cardiff, i never picked a weaker or more obscure team then that really.
My older brother once took the mighty Athlone Town from the irish second division to the champions league group stages while they were still a semi professional club.

I've taken Tranmere into the later stages of the Champions League a number of times, and took Rushden and Diamonds into Europe, but I forgot to ask for Stadium improvements, and apparently a 6,000 capacity, mostly standing, stadium won't pay top Premier League wages and the club ended up doing a Portsmouth. Not before I took the Chelsea job, mind.

I've taken Thurrock and Weston Super Mare to the premiership a couple of times using incredibly strict house rules aimed at increasing the difficulty.

My favourite Championship Manager game was the epic 97-98 before it got too in-depth.

I remember playing for over 30 seasons and getting a message saying I had reached the end of the game's lifespan and that I had to restart.

I ended up with a computer-created player Ibanez Maqueda at centre half and he played 1000 games for me, an absolute legend.

When I first got the game at age 10, I changed all the best players to English nationality for some reason, so when the game was created new players it chose random first names and random surnames of a nationality, so I ended up with people getting created with names like:

Phil Del Piero
Luis Filipe Madeira Roberts
Frank Batistuta
Steve Maldini

Championship Manager 2 was always my favourite, so many epic legends to play with. I've always wished that they would release historical databases for contemporary Football Manager games, so that all the rookies come through when they are supposed to, instead of all those horrible little regens.

Man, champ man 01-02 is what I still play and before that it was Championship manager 2. Definitely had maradona playing for rangers on that badboy.

I love the regen names - my own name comes up quite a lot for all the home nations and then there's been classics like bob monkmouse, james James and Frederick west.
