Ah, PAOK ruined it. Red card and a penalty. I really thought we were heading for a massive upset. I do love that ''Steal from the Rich to give to the Poor'' banner, though.

Red card was not harsh. It is the rule. Any handball on the line is a penalty and automatic red card.

Paok have defended really well with 10 men. Sure, they have parked the bus but why wouldn't they?

On a related issue, the commentating on five is at best unbelievably biased in favour of English teams; at worst unbelieveably shite. The outrage both voiced when Defoe's goal was quite rightly disallowed was laughable

Thing is, I quite enjoy there coverage otherwise. The commentary team aren't as horrible as ITV's, but they're not great.

Rosenthal, Collymore and Nevin really did have to eat humble when it was pointed out to them that not only did the officials get the two big decisions right but also it was the assistant behind the goal that spotted the foul.

They really have a pathological hatred of the assistant's behind the goal and their fact that he does "nothing."

"Why doesn't he wave his flag?" - HE DOES NOT HAVE A FLAG, STAN.

Rules need to be open to interpretation, not like it was a Suarez was it?

Not necessarily a fair rule, I'll admit but it is the rule that is harsh not the decision.

The hatred for the extra officials is bizarre on all fronts in the UK.

It really is. Obviously, he is not doing anything because he does not run about with a flag or make overblown gestures... He could not be talking to the referee with the microphone on the side of his face or we would be able to see it from 100 yards away at the commentary positions

Media in Spurs bias shock.

Next week we expose Manchester United.

The NUFC tribute for Speed is a rendition of Bread of Heaven due to it being a Welsh hymn.

Did they not realise it's the same tune as "You're not singing anymore"?

Palace brightened my evening.

I don't like the blokes in the box because one tried to send the wrong Fulham player off, despite being about 2 yards from the incident when they played Roma. I shouldn't tar them all with the same brush, but I have.

And mine. Great night to be a Palace fan :D

The programme's OK, if a little lifeless. The draw show itself is abysmal. But it's the same sack of shit we get get every two years from UEFA & FIFA.
