Domestic football - spam version

lol too true, although hopefully people wont let it get to their heads, after all, Spain had 21 total shots and England had 3, on another night 4 or 5 of them could have gone in.

I await the over the top reaction from every Englishmen I speak to tomorrow. It only makes the crushing defeat they will undoubtedly suffer come the Euros even funnier.

Just seen the ITV scehdule for tonight, there showing highlights of the England VS Spain match, a match they shown live just a few hours before hand but there's no FA Cup highlights till tomorow morning, that a fucking joke

First of all Well Done to Ireland for getting through to the Euro's as UEFA have announced the seedings for the European Championships

POT: 1 Poland, Ukraine, Spain and Holland.
POT 2: England, Germany, Italy and Russia.
POT 3: Croatia, Greece, Portugal and Sweden.
POT 4: Denmark, France, Republic of Ireland and Czech Republic.

So we could possibly have a group of Spain, Germany, Portugal & France but at the same time we could have a group of Poland, Russia, Greece & Denmark

Factors such as: how they did in qualifying, past tournament success and general form I think. Aside from Ukraine and Poland, hosts get top seeding automatically it seems.

When I first saw the countries scrolling along the bottom of the screen I thought those were the groups, gutted that they weren't. Guaranteed fixtures between Germany - England and France - Rep. Ireland would have been awesome.

I knew Ireland would be seeded 4th so im not dissapointed. I am however annoyed that France are also seeded 4th meaning we have to hope france also make it out of their group if we want to have a chance of beating them. By god i hope we get to knock them out :bringit:

It's funny that this kicked off within hours of Suarez being punished for his incident with Evra, was that what he was referring to? With that and the Terry stuff at the moment it was pretty bad timing to try and dismiss racial slurs as 'banter'.

Its maybe a case of something being lost in translation, but its still a fairly silly thing to come out with.

Well I would argue that in the heat of the moment on the football pitch when you're nackered from running around for 90minutes that I'd hardly think it's intentional. Yeah it happens, but I agree with Blatter.

I see where you're coming from, but I don't agree that coming out with a racial slur because you're tired is more acceptable. Yes people do say things they don't intend to in the heat of the moment, however to use the 2 recent examples of Terry and Suarez, when both men are 'alleged' to have made the slurs, it was when there was a lull in the action and they were going back and forth verbally with the victims. There was enough time for both men to think about what they were going to say before they came out with it, but they said it anyway.

I think one of the things Sepp said which a lot of people would contest is that the victim should be the one to say, "It's ok, these things happen." That's quite a poor stand as it doesn't make the person who came out with the slur take responsibility and apologise. Again, maybe something was lost in translation, but why should the victim of a slur be the one to make amends for someone else's mistake?
