Domestic football - spam version

As if the pundit on Sky still thinks Newcastle have played no one yet. Knob. Here's the updated like for like stats:

Time for an update (I'm pretty sure these are all right):

(H) Arsenal: Draw this season, draw last.
(A) Mackems: Win this season, draw last +2pts.
(H) Fulham: Win this season, draw last +2pts. (4)
(A) QPR: No game last season
(A) Aston Villa: Drew this season, beaten last season +1pts.(5)
(H) Blackburn: Won this season, beaten last season +3pts.(8)
(A) Wolves: Won this season, drew last season +2pts.(10)
(H) Spurs: Drew last season, drew this season.
(H)Wigan: Won this season, drew last season +2pts (12)
(A) Stoke: Won this season, lost last season +3 points (15)

That's 10 games, 22 points. No games lost. We're +15points on a like to like basis from last year and after 10 games we were 7th with 14 points. 22 points last season would have you at 2nd behind Chelsea. Oh and we have the best defence in the country with only 7 goals conceded.

The only french left back I can think of in that time Stephane Mahe

But yeah we can also thank Vengalos for the Signings of Mjallby and Lubo Moravcik

Aw yeh Moravcik was a wee genius too.

And yeh, it was Mahe I was thinking of, though that Agathe boy was handy too!

I don't think I've voiced this opinion before, so here it is.

Andre Villas-Boas is a cunt. He acts as if he's the dog's bollocks, but the sum total of his accomplishments are winning the Portuguese League with Porto, and winning the Europa League, a competition that has featured footballing luminaries like Braga, Rangers and Fulham in recent finals. He's already lost more league games than Avram Grant did in a whole season, and all he does is bitch when he loses, never blaming his own shit tactics of playing Raul Mereiles in defensive midfield or telling John Terry to stand on the half way line so he can get done and then fall on his face. Meanwhile Porto are top of the league and unbeaten, despite having sold their best player. I really hope he completely fails, and I don't even particularly dislike Chelsea.

He is acting like rather a prat, and I technically have Chelsea fan down on my resume. I think he's trying to adopt Ferguson's tactics of bullying the referees into submission, but doesn't quite appreciate the value of a slow boil.

I didnt take any notice of him until the whole race thing started, when he basically came out and said that people shouldnt believe that Terry made any racist remarks, basically because he's played for England.

Although I doubt he did actually say anything, it kinda makes me want them to find him guilty, even though they wont.

I have to wonder what game the commentators and pundits on Sky Sports were watching. Talking about United having a satisfactory evening when aside from the result, I thought that for long periods they were made to look a poor side by a Romanian side whose most expensive player cost less than one of Alberto Del Rio's cars. Nani and Anderson were so uninterested that I would not be surprised if SAF got the hairdryer out.

When the highlight of their game was Rooney playing well out of position in the central midfield, plugging a massive gap that has been there since Scholes and Giggs were unable to play 30+ games, then they were not good... again

Pretty much spot on here. It was embarassing to watch them play that poorly, although Jones is already a contender for player of the season for United. He was the driving force up the right in the first half, whereas Valencia just hasn't really looked right this season, could be to do with his ankle injury at the start. Very poor overall though, Anderson needs to get acquainted with accuracy and control or the bench.

I'd say that coming back deep like that is the only place he's looked comfortable for the last 8 or 9 months now, the guys wasted as an out and out striker anyway, far too creative.

-EDIT- But yeah, they did suck balls -EDIT-

The only team to beat Newcastle at St James' Park in 2011? The team we play this Saturday. Everton.

Fulham lost control of ticketing to Polish people, so you could only buy them in person and i have a job. Which is why I am not there and why it sounds like the game is in Krakow.

Yes. Also, on a Tastycles at home note, why my flatmate is sulking and refusing to watch it. Because we couldn't get tickets, not because he hates Polish people.

Now, is it pronounced 'crack-cow' or 'crack-kov'? I've heard variations and can't decide which one to say.

And why it seems like the Cottage is on fire?

Insurance scam to pay for the hideous Jacko statue?

Yes Polish people say Crackov. The girl who used to sit next to me is from Lodz and apparently that's pronounced. "Woodge"

Carrying on with the topic of Central/Eastern European languages, apparently Czech is a bit of a tough one. One of the guys who worked at the hotel I stayed at said he found Russian a breeze compared to Czech, and I think Russian's meant to be tough.

Edit - that was a sick set-piece play by Fulham.
