Yeah I noticed that there were plenty of non-Saturday kick-offs for Newcastle this season, that's why I was asking, seeing if you had been there less as a result.

Its tough to decide which game to watch tonight; United are through and will likely give a second string side a run-out, Celtic could clinch qualification to the next round rather than drop to the Europa League, a Juventus win would mean Chelsea are the first team to win the CL then not get past the group stages, or watch Barcelona and perhaps see Messi tie or break Muller's record.

Much better round of fixtures tonight for sure. I'm leaning towards the Celtic game, with United being the least likely choice.

In a similar vein, I recently bought myself the Croatia home shirt that I have wanted for many moons.

Croatia's tops are usually among the best for national sides. I loved Scotland's tartan design that they wore at Euro 96. Although when you google it, you mainly find images of that Gazza goal.

Not that I have ever rated him, but good God, Mertesacker is terrible.

He looks like one of those continental players who is so tall that he does not need to practice jumping because no one ever challenges him in the air. Then he arrives at Valley Parade and is made to look like he should be playing for Ballymoney Utd rather than the German national team.

Having said that Vermaelen has looked little better so far tonight or this season.
