Do You Tip?

I rarely tip because the food is pretty expensive and when i go for dinner i get a 3 course meal with my girlfriend so sometimes its out of not being able to afford it,

Ever hear of a dollar menu?
Sorry that's just such a lame excuse.

"Sorry I did not tip you I came here not knowing if I have enough to fund this meal and a tip"

Same thing, just revised. How does it sound now?

Its nothing personal just as a person who worked at Ruby Tuesday as server for over a year, 2 years ago, that comment irked me. There is nothing worse then busting your hump when the person your waiting on intends to not tip, and I never was lacking on service, even when out of my control (such as cooks taking a while)

So yes I always tip. Not doing so is just an open form of being a lazy ass.

PS: I rather get nothing then just a dollar, especially on large bills because I always tempted to suffocate the tipper with there shit tip.

If the service was good, not great or amazing, yet not bad or horrible, just good, I usually tip around 5-7 percent or so. If the service was really good, around 7-10 percent. However if I get excellent service and a friendly waitress, I drop 10-15, and on some occasions 20 percent. Now if the service was just down right bad, I may leave the change if I am paying cash or round to nearest dollar. It's still a tip, but it's one of those tips that kind of a slap in the face to waitress. So I usually always tip, but the better the service, the better the tip.

Yeah, I tip every time I go out to eat, even if the service is bad. Now the amount I tip differs from place to place. If the service is average to good I tip 15% but if it is great or a friend of mine I give 20% or more. If it is bad then I just give a little bit, but most of the time my service is good. I figure that regardless of how the service is they are depending on money to live and tips is how they do that. That is just me though.

I always tip, regardless of poor service or not. I don't base it on a percentage myself either. I'll tip you anywhere between $3-$20 depending on how kind you were, if you tried to conversate or not, if you came to "check up" on me and whatnot. There's factors going into how much of a tip i'm going to give. I don't push people to tip, if they don't tip then that's on them, I however have to tip someone. It's just part of my nature.

I tip
It's how those servers are getting paid, cause it's not like there getting paid hourly...
I don't consider getting 2.00 an hour a base pay, that is really crappy

and you can't go by just the meal cause it's not the servers fault that the kitchen didn't do there job. Your not paying for how good the meal was when you tip your paying just on did this server care about me and my needs
