Do we forget about KANE

Da Prophet

Mid-Card Championship Winner
Kane
The big red machine,"hell fire and brimstone",the bloody monster. What the hell have the WWE done to this guy?He is like a big jobber that is ment to beat guy's but lose's like every match.WTF!Kane was such a monster way back when and look at him now. This guy could be in the MainEvent of PPV even WrestleMania,if he got the chance. Many people forget because of the whole "Undertaker is my brother" storyline, that he has done a bit in the WWE.

2 Time World Champion(WWE and ECW)
2 Time Intercontinental Champion
Hardcore Champion
10 Time tag Champion
Most elimation's in a single Rumble Match
Quickest elimation is a Rumble match(he threw Santino over)
and, here's the big one people.......He's a GRAND SLAM CHAMPION!!!He's the 3rd in histroy.Only Triple H and Shawn Michaels beat him to it.
He's the 8th Triple Crown winner and was ranked 13th of the best pro wrestler's in 2004.

Seeing these facts,do we not think of Kane as a big time player,or a jobber. After seeing this it make's me think.

People always blame Kane's lack of importance right now in the WWE to being unmasked six years ago. Well, get over it. Kane's gimmick has changed a lot in his close to 15 years in the industry with this character.

First, he didn't speak, when he did speak it was a nice touch, it was funny and also he seemed like someone you would be scared by. Then I took his mask off after losing to Triple H on RAW for the World HeavyWeight Championship, and that was good for two things, it helped establish Evolution as a great stable (back then without Orton if I'm correct) and also it lead to Kane vs. Bischoff as we all know.

Kane is a good character but he doens't need to win championships to still be over with the crowd, you can say that he is not near as over as he was at 2001, of course. No one is. Not even Undertaker is getting the same reacting he did back then.

Also don't forget that Kane with all that accomplishes doens't seem like a guy who is backstage asking for title shots or for feuds with someone from the roster, he is a good guy and he is definitely a company man.

If he deserves to be pushed? Of course he does. Will he ever be pushed? I highly doubt it.

Kane having a long lasting, successful career was basically doomed before he even stepped in the ring. He was brought in for one reason: destroy the Undertaker. Now, as wrestling fans, we know that destroying someone like the Undertaker never works out very well. The REAL reason for bringing someone like Kane is to make the Undertaker look even better. Monster comes in to destroy Taker. Stalks Taker and makes his life hell. Taker slays the monster, and everyone cheers. That is what has happened with many of monster sent in to destroy someone like Taker.

I have always said Kane went above and beyond what was expected of him. Before Kane, a "monster" type who was brought in for one sole purpose would have been done away with after he was beaten by the guy he was brought in to destroy. Kane has been a major star for over twelve years now (ok, maybe not the WHOLE twelve years). I think the guy deserves a ton of credit for making it this far.

Now, should he be given some gigantic push? Could he still main event ppv's? NO. He is getting older, he is slow in the ring, and out of shape. And more importantly, over the years, Kanes ability to terrify his opponents has slowly washed away due to his gimmick having no chance of long term survival. When Kane first came in ( even as Isaac Yankem and the fake Diesel), he was ripped. The guys LOOKED like a monster. But over time, he got older, fatter, and slower (not a knock on him at all, it happens).

So have we forgotten about Kane? Not at all. He had maybe the best "monster" gimmick of all time. He was totally believable as the guy who could destroy the Undertaker (more so than Kamala or the Giant Gonzalez). From late 1997 to mid-1998, he was one of their best heels, far surpassing most people's expectations after losing to Taker at Mania 14. But his best days are behind him, no doubt. So while I remember what he did and respect it, I don't think, going forward, he needs any kind of big push.

nickb03=Could he still main event ppv's? NO. He is getting older, he is slow in the ring, and out of shape. And more importantly, over the years, Kanes

Over his year's,what about Shawn Michaels, the dude is like 44 and Undertaker is 44 to,but yet people can't wait to see "the slowshopper" at WrestleMania. He couldn't be in a match that drag's on forever and ever, but he could do it.

He's a triple crown winner, I believe, but that's just semantics.

Kane is always going to be one of my favorite wrestlers. I have argued before that Kane and Chris Jericho are the two most valuable role players on the roster. They are credible in any position on the card. They could open the show and get the crowd hot or close the show and send the crowd home wowed. Kane still moves well, and will always be a threat to any opponent. I think they have jobbed him out too much, but he always looks good in defeat, so it doesn't effect him too much. A win over Kane for a young star is an eye opener, and a loss is not a huge setback, and that is a testament to his ability to tell a story in the ring and always put his opponent over. He is a valuable member of the roster and will always be a monster.

I believe Kane deserves one more title run. I would love for him to win MitB this year and challenge the Undertaker at Summer Slam. He deserves more than a 24 hour title reign, and holding the belt from August until November would cement his legacy.

I MTFO for Kane, and it is awesome to see other people who appreciate him.

I was a huge fan of Kane from 97-2001, but he's basically a jobber to the stars now. He'll never be a main eventer again. Basically if the WWE needs to give somebody credibility and a push to the main event they'll have them go over Kane. Unfortunately Kane's last chance of main eventing got cut short when Edge got injured. He wasn't gonna beat Edge, but it would have been cool to see him challenge for the WHC.

See, that's where Drew McIntyre comes in. Kane does deserve a title run, I'll give him that, but he's not ready to carry the world title yet. A run with the IC title would be way better. And not only that, but having him go back to the Sadistic Monster would be so amazing. Especially when he goes around and Chokeslams/Tombstones all of his opponents.

Honestly though, I think his best days were when he was masked because he looked so much like The Undertaker, only he was masked.

Kane lost alot of his aura after losing the mask. He's has alot of title runs but none that have been meaningful. He was an unstoppable machine his first few years but has been reduced to a jobber for awhile now. I still respect what he's done during his tenure with the Kane character. Great feuds w/ Taker, Batista, so so w/ Matt Hardy. Decent multi time tag champ w/ RVD, taker, x-pac. I'm glad he flourished after the failed Issac Yankem/fake diesel
characters & i hope he gets a good run maybe w/ a title run (please) before he decides to hang it up.

i would love to See kane carry the IC title
i cant belive they had Drew beat him...
They should give him gold weather it be US,IC or even Tag
they are making him seem like a big old whipping boy

If your talking about Kane prior to 2005 he was actually relevant. The 08 ECW title run meant nothing and really he hasen't been eye catching in 5 years. And that's being generous. Between 97 and late 03 i was addicted to watching his matches because he had such an awesome look with his mask. Personally as a team with Xpac and when he returned in 02 with the new mask were my favorite versions of Kane.

But seriously, the people didnt forget Kane. WWE made it so its almost impossible to give a damn about him. The character is completely dead and irrelevant.

Kane basically has the same match week in week out, but it is tried tested and the audience love it. Taking off his mask was one of the best things that could have happened to him because it gave him a rebirth. There is a reason that he and Undertaker have lasted so much longer than any other monster heel in history and it is becaus eof reinvention. Taker has been reinvented a few times, Kane only once, but it has really helped them stick around.

The ship has probably sailed on another title reign, but he will certainly be one of the people that are remembered from this era because he has been involved in a lot of controversial storylines, and I think he must have feuded with just about everyone going during his tenure, and with the exception of Rey Mysterio, they've always been entertaining.
