Saeros, most likely, people didn't put Molly on for one of 2 reasons: 1) she refused to be a glorified piece of eye candy, so the guys who think with their dicks don't care anything about her and 2) she's been gone for so long that most people have forgotten about her.
Molly left WWE in spring 2005 for a combination of reasons. Contrary to popular belief, being reduced to a jobber and having to put over women like Stacy Keibler and Christy Hemme had nothing to do with it. She had a breast cancer scare in January of that year. In April, she asked John Laurinaitis if she could become a face again, as she had come to loathe what her character had become and felt it would freshen her up. Laurinaitis said it would never work and denied said request, most likely because he believes women should be eye candy first (remember, the Diva Search was his idea, along with Kevin Dunn). She asked for her release right then and there, and JL granted it without even trying to talk her out of it. Before she left, Vince McMahon told her she could come back at any time if she wanted to.
After she left, TNA expressed an interest in signing her, Jazz and Gail Kim and Molly met with them in the summer of 2005, but nothing came of it. Given TNA's reputation for paying the Knockouts poorly, the issue was probably money. If they had offered her the kind of money they reportedly gave Christy Hemme, she might have signed.
Since then, Molly has made numerous appearances on the indy circuit, but virtually never as a wrestler. Most of the time, she's a referee and occasionally a valet or manager. Shimmer extended her an open invitation to wrestle on their shows in 2006, but she's never taken them up on it.
In a 2007 interview, she said what it would take for her to go back to WWE. These were her terms: 1) a contract for no longer than a year (a standard WWE contract is 3 years), 2) no house shows, 3) she'd only do Raw/SD in cities she liked traveling to, and 4) $1 million. I think this is more or less her way of saying she doesn't want to go back.
Nowadays, she works as an addiction counselor for Teen Challenge in Minnesota and makes appearances at school health classes, talking about what drugs can do to you. She also got married in July 2010.
