Diva Tag Champs

As I looked on to the supplemental draft, I began thinking. With the breaking up of many tag teams, and the Bellas still intact, is there any chance that the Bellas would ever have a tag title reign, or for that matter any divas?

Are you suggesting that a diva team would beat two men for the titles? Or are you suggesting that there be a diva tag title, so that all the divas that arent currently competing for the women and diva title have something to do, so every RAW where there is a diva tag match that doesnt involve a champion could mean more then just getting some tna on tv.

Quite simply, there's absolutely no way for your idea to come to fruition. I mean, why would they? Most of the divas aren't that great at wrestling to begin with. Do you mean to tell me that now you'd expect to be able to find Divas that can wrestle AND put a decent enough gimmick to make them a consistent team? The men's division already sucks. And you're going to try and put a another division together. It doesn't make much sense, and would only suck away from the Divas talent roster.

As to the possibility of having a diva team defeat two men for the existing tag titles, that's simply not going to happen. With the exception of Santino, I can't think of another man on the WWE roster that'd be willing to put over a woman. Not to say that there aren't some of the women on the WWE roster that don't have legitimate wrestling skills, but American wrestling fans aren't generally going to accept a pair of 110 pound women defeating a couple of 220+ pound men in a wrestling match. Not to sound sexist, but it's just the way it is. I've seen lots of male wrestlers do it in the AAA lucha libre promotion in Mexico and, I'm sorry, but it just makes the men look bad.

As for the possibility of a Divas tag title, the last thing the WWE needs to do is create another championship. The WWE doesn't devote any time to coming up with credible angles, or really even promoting, any championship they already have, with the exceptions of the WWE and World Championships. I see no need to create another hollow championship to put on someone to do next to nothing with.

A little confused by the post (is it divas becoming the world tag champs or is it a new diva's tag division with belts).

Either way it would be an awful idea.

First off, there are way too many divas in the WWE, what they need to do is weed out some of the diva's as they are nothing more than eye candy and bring absolutely nothing to the table (Tiffany, The Bella Twins, Kelly Kelly (no thats not a typo)). Trish and Lita brought something to the table (fans of both by the way), Natalya, Beth Phoenix, Gail Kim and even Melina bring something to the table, but most divas are as useless as an asshole on an elbow (if i want eye candy, there is this thing called Maxim Magazine and Porno). For a diva tag division to work there would have to be enough diva's that can put on a decent match, and even with that it probably wouldn't work (didn't work in the 80's).

Secondly, if there were ever a diva team that could actually challenge the world tag champs (like if bull nakano and awesome kong were a team) it would be OK (kind of like when Chyna was IC champ), but most likely it would never work and if it did it would be a 1 time only deal.

Everyone has pretty much stated my opinion here so I'm just echoing it. If you're talking about the current tag titles then no. Even if the women involved were Natalya and Beth Phoenix two guys wouldn't put them over. I'm not sexist, I'm just realistic. Two women wouldn't beat two guys for the tag titles. If they did it'd had to come off as a complete fluke and they'd immediately drop them in their first title defense.

If it was a new title specifically for female tag teams there simply aren't enough women on the roster to merit the title existing.

I hope it never happens, the divas suck so bad, the only reason they were ever over is because they were allowed to shake their sexy little asses on tv, but with the PG rating its just not happening anymore, I speak for most when I say that divas only purpose is for us to have a piss break without missing anything good.

i have to agree that it wont happen, simply because i can't see the boys putting a divas tag team over. as far as some of the other complaints about the divas, i agree some are eye candy, but a few of them, (mickie james, gail kim, natalya, beth phoenix) work good matches and if your taking a piss break during their matches your missing out. are they going to get the ring time as the guys? no. but should they be allowed to have longer than 2 minute matches to actually show what they can do? i think so

no... i'm suggesting two divas join the men's tag division. a team like maybe beth and natalya for example, but a team of two powerful women. anybody recall trish and lita vs. christian and jericho?

It might be enjoyable to some... masochists... but I really don't think this could happen. Can you imagine how pissed everyone would get? For example, the Colons are champs. Even if it's a fluke win, if they were defeated by a diva tag their careers would be ruined. I can see possible a team of a dominant male and a strong diva winning, but even then people would be mad.

This would be one of the worst ideas in the history of professional wrestling. First of all, how many tag teams even exist now? One, The Colons? Cryme Tyme if they are still together? That's it? So really tag team wrestling today isn't even interesting from the start.

If the original point of the thread is creating a tag championship for the divas, that means that there would be 3 diva titles with 4 divas holding them. That would be like 1/3 of the divas holding a title. Also let's be honest...womens WWE wrestling is simply terrible. They consistently have the worst matches I have ever seen. Yes, I will admit that they are improving, but that improvement adds up to maybe a 1 out of 100 raking instead of a 0. It's just a fact that for the wide majority of fans, womens wrestling is simply uninteresting.

If we are talking about the women defeating the mean for a tag title...that would be even worse. First of it would destroy the credibility of the mens team that they beat. Second of all, could you even buy it? Sure there may be the "super strong women" vs. "the comedy character" ala Beth v. Santino. But are you telling me that you would believe that any two women could defeat any two men combined? It's just illogical that that would even ever happen. Then to throw in the idea of two twigs like the Bella twins winning?

I'm sorry, it would be a rating and creative disaster.
