Did WWE Miss A Big Chance On Raw?

i think there was alot missing from that RAW last night but I'm not gonna put the blame completely on the WWE. The reason I say that is because you potentially have to write one and a half episodes of smackdown which will include the taping tonight. RAW still needed to plug the extreme rules matches so your idea of including Otunga in the show was a bad idea. I wish Tatsu woulda found a place in the show if only to prove he could function better on TV after the draft no matter the show he ends on. Also there was way too much Kozlov in the raw, and frankly if WWE needed a solution for the Swagger/Taker match I'd rather see Carlito doing a run-in so swagger could save face. But overall the writers did probably the best job they could under those freaky circumstances. BTW- people have been talking about how they didnt use the volcano much for humor and the explanation I think why they didn't was because Vince didn't wanna run the odds of doing something humorous and possibly have the natural disaster actually hurt or God forbid kill someone. I guess better safe then sorry after the RAW dedicated to Benoit years back.

I must of been one of the only ones who thought Raw was done pretty damn well.. I was at the show LIVE last night and let me tell you I felt like that monday's edition of Raw was excellently handled due to the fact that Cena, Orton, Batista, Sheamus, Brett, Miz, Show, etc were stuck overseas. The electricity in the arena was amazing as usual (since NJ and NY fans are undoubtably some of the craziest and loudest fans wwe has). HHH started off the show with a great 15-20 min promo with CM Punk (who is one of the best mic workers in the business)
-Undertaker v Swagger was a fantastic mid main event with almost every person in the arena marking out when the gong hit for the first time.
-the 6 man tag was solid with 5 out of the 6 of them being main eventers showcasing why they are some of the very best.
-the McGruber skits were funny (you have to be a SNL fan to understand Will Forte and the whole McGruber scene)

Overall the show was done very well and while it wasnt the best lead up to sunday's extreme rules (which I will be at!!), Vince Mcmahon once again showed why even when 3 of his top stars are stuck in Europe, the WWE has the creative talent to outperform ANY other company in the business. Kudos to Mcmahon as usual.

People forget that this was a last second show thrown together, did they miss the boat yes, but you know they called for Khali to come back because … still thinking, I have no clue why he was their. The Undertaker was there because they felt bad that there is no Cena, Batista, Orton, so give the Raw fans something. Taker probably wont be back till Summerslam.

I completely agree that Swagger has so much potential, and yet they are just having the champ lose every match is absolutely ridiculous. Carlito is good, better as a heel. The ultimate question is with Raw still stuck, and Smackdown filming today, what will the Smackdown show be, a rerun???

This will be my last comment on the matter

1 I think something should have been done with lesser talent that will probably be drafted

2 I agree Taker was a must for that show, but beating Swagger did nothing for either guy

3 More should have been done to promote ER

4 Unless a title match is comming soon, Hardy vs McIntyre is getting old

5 Jack Swagger is an amazing worker, all of his matches lately are golden. Swagger is the future

Now don't get me wrong I think Raw was pretty good, but I think it should have revolved around younger guys.

Imagine if Punk didn't interrupt HHH, instead it was Carlito. He cuts a promo on HHH about how not all RAW stars are stranded, and how he wont be forgotten.
He challenges HHH.

Jack Swagger's challenge could have been accepted by Cody Rhodes, making his return he wants to make an imapct. He then looses the match so swagger has some momentum.

Have Otunga interrupt Cena's interveiw and cut a promo about how big of a star he'll be. And he can work a match.

I would also get Zack Ryder involved some how, not a superstars match.

IMO the smackdown stars were too dominant and i think it would have been a good opportunity for the young guys to shine, especially right before the draft.

These are very good ideas and good points for sure. But I think they were concerned that without SOME big names, people were just going to change the channel. So they did the best they could with what they had.

NO. No, no, no, no, no....no. Raw was fine. They worked with what they had, and it was pretty good. HHH and CM Punk working together is great, as it is to see HHH and Edge in the same ring together. There were no "old" guys on the show. Every one of those guys are either in their prime or are big enough superstars to carry a show like this. It's bad enough the fans who were there didn't get to see what they paid for, but you want to submit them to watching Carlito and Ryder?

It would have been a slap to their collective face. Carlito has been pushed before...it didn't work. He stinks. He is NOTHING like Eddie, and to say so is damn near blasphemy. Eddie was great at everything he did, and Carlito...well, he's about average, or less than.

Cody Rhodes vs. Jack Swagger??? These fans paid good money, and didn't have the superstars they paid to see. Why you submit them to a match between a mid-card WHC and a regular mid-carder? Having The Undertaker did two things, 1. Added needed star power to that show, 2. Even though he lost, gave Swagger a TON of credibility. Even if Swagger would have squashed Rhodes in under a minute, it wouldn't have added to his credibility as much as losing to Taker did.

You're just another in a long line of fans who want nothing but pushes. Push, push, push, push, push. The freakin' UNDERTAKER was on Raw, and you wanted Ryder??? You have to be kidding me. If the WWE had gone the way you say they should have, it would have been a disaster. Guys like Carlito and Ryder are perfect for Superstars right now, not headlining Raw. Raw was down star power, so your solution would be to add low to mid card guys, just to give them exposure? It's not always about pushing guys, it's about putting on a quality, worthwhile show. And your show would have been anything but quality.
