So as we all know, Brock Lesnar interrupted MizTV last week and brutalised The Miz. There's reportedly some heat on Lesnar for tossing chairs on top of Miz, and his F-5 very nearly injured Miz's neck on the couch.
My question is: was Lesnar responding to some ad-libbed behaviour from Miz?
After all, Miz is not a beast of a man. He is a smaller, scrappier guy who has no business going toe to toe with Lesnar. He didn't have to run away, but he should have appeared apprehensive. Yet in the video below, Miz not only stands his ground, but actually shoves Lesnar:

Miz has slid down the card ever since dropping the WWE Title way back in 2011. His face turn, while providing him with a new lease of life, hasn't pushed him any further up and has not been too well-received. His involvement with Lesnar was probably a one time thing to further the Heyman storyline and get heat on Lesnar. So the Miz yet again didn't stand to gain much from it, other than getting to work with Heyman and Lesnar. Did he try and put himself over by refusing to be intimidated by Brock? And if so, was Lesnar irked and reminding him of his place with the brutality of the beatdown? Personally I think Miz is entitled to show initiative, but I can also see Lesnar's irritation at being used by a lower tier performer to get ahead and possibly why he may have felt disrespected. What are your thoughts?
