Did Punk just borrow Cena's argument with Rock against Jericho?

Punk just brought up Jericho doing things outside of WWE while he's there being the "Best Wrestler in the World". Sound's kinda familiar, don't you think? Not sure why they would use the same angle for two matches at the same PPV.

What is a good promo these days then? CM Punk saying he is the best in the world? John cena talking about hustle, loyalty, respect? Cena talking about Rising above hate? Mark Henry talking about the Hall of Pain? Or Del Rio crying about destiny? The Rock's "2000s" catch phrases beat all of those.

The biggest difference between the two feuds is that Punk can actually act. When he delivers his argument, it's believable not forced.

I do love Cena's "The Rock makes movies" argument. Fact is, at this point, Cena's been in damn near as many movies as The Rock. Granted, Cena's are shot on a $27 budget and the only screen they make are in the Fisher Price Dollhouses in the backyard.....but still.

Punk and Jericho are going to tear the house down at WM. WWE better be careful. If they thought Cena winning at One Night Stand would cause a riot, what do they think the crack smoking Miami fans will do if he beats The Rock?

Dude you just took my thoughts and wrote them down! All I have to say about this Rock-Cena crap is totally sucks. I can't wait until mania is over and Rocky goes where ever the hell he goes as long as it's away and Cena starts a program with someone who matters again. First time in two years I actually turned off Raw early. After the Rock started talking about Kung Pow Chicken I decided that is it. We deserve much better than this!

IMO Jericho got destroy by Punk promo wise and it shows that Punk can cut better Promo than Jerico. He just have to cool it down on the "best of everything i do."

I think it's interesting how the realism in both of these rivalries is playing out. Thus far, I think CM Punk has been better than Jericho and Cena has been better than The Rock on the mic.

When The Rock comes back and gives a promo, he doesn't really say much to enforce his point. Every time he has relied on his catchphrases to carry the promo, and his fruity pebbles, kung pow crap is just as cringe-worthy as "hustle, loyalty, respect". Tonight he had actually began to make sense, and for a second I was on his side (taking into consideration I'm trying to pretend I am a kid again watching this). But when Cena came out and said his few words, he looked dominant once again.

It's interesting, and honestly, I feel like I'm not going out on a limb here, but just these two matches + the hell in a cell are making this Wrestlemania shape up to be possibly one of the best Wrestlemania shows in a decade.

Three matches we know can easily steal a show. That's awesome for WWE. I'm into it.

While the promos tonight were great something jumped out at me...considering Rock and Jericho havent even been around consistent for over a year (jericho), and at least a year for Rock it got me worried...if these two with Jerichos repetitive promo and Rocks jokes what does the future hold for the young guys...with a rusty Rock and Jericho Cena and Punk were able to keep up on their best day...mind you not on Jerichos and Rocks best day..thats not good..but I will say Punk has undoubtedly the best mic skills in the company bar none

I personally love the realism in both Feuds and its done a great job of hyping both Matches so far. I liked the back & forth between CM Punk & Chris Jericho,Punk made some good points and Jericho had some valid points. The Match is going to be awesome and I can't wait to see it on April 1st.

The Rock's Promo was good and he as well made some good points. Same with John Cena's as well. People always complain about not having some type of realism in Wrestling. Well here it is with 2 prime examples. What more do you want?

That's Jericho doing his best to greatly irritate the crowd, especially the "smart" fans. That was a calculated move, that I felt worked pretty well. The bit Jericho and Punk had tonight was very good, and is helping to move forward what should be an awesome feud.

I totally agree with you. Also I am just happy to see Rock back even if for a little while. We have seen Hogan come back again and again. Same with Foley, and Piper, and even Jericho. Who cares what it is they are doing when not wrestling. Hogan made movies, and those were the days you would see the champ wrestle on PPV only, and the occasional Saturday Night's Main Event. I am new here, and to me it seems like we have a bunch of people that watch something they absolutely hate> Its fun to debate, but there has to be something that is enjoyable if we all keep on watching. Punk/Jericho and Rock/Cena will provide two excellent matches at Mania, and it just so happens that Cena and Punk have the same argument against their opponents. How about since its wrestlemania season we just sit back watch and enjoy. For a change

No the difference is, Punk isn't crying about Jericho moving on and doing his own thing. He's letting Jericho know that he's the Best wrestler in the world. Jericho can do whatever he wants, accomplish whatever he wants outside the ring and be the best at it. But in the ring, Punk owns it, and is THE man right now, as he put it. Jericho, although is a legend, never really was THE man, in his prime.

Punk gave it to Jericho like a man, Cena bitches. That's the difference.

Cena's and Punk's styles have been quite similar since the beginning of the WM build. It's not like last night was the first time it's been that way.

im pretty sure that the rock had the worst promo last night. Even cena cut a better promo. All he does is says shit bad about his opponent, say bitch, say its trending, get the crowd chanting, says hes apart of the attitude era. Its gotten so bland, and I am not a fan of cena, but since his wrestlemania promo, the rock has been pure shit. He was actually one of the lower points for me during raw, and i was for team bring it when this stuff started.
