ERIC YOUNG & KEVIN NASH

VS

SCOTT HALL & SEAN WALTMAN

(If Hall & Waltman win, they earn long-term contracts. If they lose, they must leave TNA forever.)

A very intriguing match made this evening by Eric Bischoff. Bischoff, who has been absolutely fed up with the antics of Hall and Waltman, decided to play Game. But the stakes are pretty high.

Scott Hall said he wanted a piece of the big pie and that he and Waltman demand long term contracts with the company. Bischoff agreed, but on one condition. That if Hall and Waltman lose, they must walk away from TNA forever.

A very intriguing match which really could go either way depending on how TNA management is feeling about Hall and Waltman's performances so far.

What say you?

I think there's two options:

1) There's heat on the guys and this is to get them off of TNA TV. In this scenario, EY would probably get the pin to give him a little credibility and life will go on without "the band".

2) The band wins their contract with the help of Bischoff. I think we all kind of feel like Bischoff will go heel, and this could be it. Today, he acted more like a face, but I could see him aligning with these guys and using them like 3 minute warning.

As you can see, I don't forsee a Young or Nash turn because I actually think they work well together and I like them. However, Bischoff turning and helping them I could definitely see happening.

personally i find the stipulation of this match absolutely ridiculous. hall and waltman are already not supposed to be allowed in the impact zone. they are sneaking in every week and if they lose why would they do anything different?

with that being said i hope that young gets the pin and the band actually does leave because it could really help him get over and hall and wsaltman cant contribute anything to tna besides this current storyline.

It seems like Hall has always let down TNA in the past. He looks to be in horrible physical condition and his alcohol issues are no secret. Is he worth giving a chance to "no-show" at a PPV again? Do we care about Hall anymore?

I think they will have "The Band" win and receive contracts. Nash may have something to do with them winning. EY seems like the odd-man-out in the mix of Hall, Nash, and Pac.

If "The Band" loses, X-Pac may have something to offer bringing him back in a singles capacity. He looked good against EY.

IMO, Hall should be let go along with the Nasty Boys. Knobbs should not be allowed on camera with the pathetic condition he is in!

Use the time wisely and push Hernandez, Kazz, Angle, Wolfe, The Gunns, RVD, and all the others who can still perform!

Because of Hall being the way he is, I have a feeling this is his last match for TNA. The man has not looked good this entire time he has been with TNA. He is still fat, he is still drunk, and he is not fit to be in the company longterm. However, Sean Waltman has impressed me in his time with the company, and I know others have seen that he still has something to offer. Perhaps there is some sort of an angle where Waltman protects Young, or turns his back on Hall and gets himself over and into TNA.

The question is if Hall even shows up or that his "groin" is good to go to wrestle. That being said Hall and Pac's videos on youtube have cracked me up. I think I would rather seem them in a comical role then a wrestling one. Pac could have some decent matches in the X Division like he did years ago. I could also care less if they lose and are never seen again on TNA.

I think that they will win because either Eric Young will turn on Nash or Nash will turn on Eric Young. One of the two will happen. I just don't want to see Nash or Hall as the tag team champions since Nash still has that feast or fired case he won. I don't think they will have a bad match though. I'm interested to see where this will lead in the end.

The buildup to this one has been great. It has finally gotten EY over as someone to take seriously. Even though he's still quite shit, that's a good thing. Hall and Waltman have been great throughout the whole thing. Even if they're older, they are still charismatic as well and can cut some good promos.

I don't think the actually match will be that good, but no one is expecting it to be. I can't see Hall and Waltman sticking around much longer, so I definetly think Nash/Young will be picking up the win.

I have a feeling Hall and Waltman will win this match. I think they will be kept around as Bischoff's lackey's. At first, I wasn't a big fan of the Hall and Waltman beat downs, but once Nash and Young got involved, things became a lot more interesting. I also think this will be a quick match. I still don't think Hall is in wrestling shape, so this match will be quick so he won't have to do too much. Either that or will see Waltman do the majority of the work here.

This feud has also done a good job of showcasing Eric Young. When he lost the Global title, I thought he would just sort of fade away, or get buried, but he has made a strong comeback.

Meh, can't expect very much out of this match. I imagine they won't let them go past 10 minutes at most because they know that the crowd might not be into it live for that long, but this shouldn't be too bad. I wouldn't be shocked to see Young/Nash win, and they probably will. I don't see Hall and Waltman sticking around in TNA for too much longer, though that does kind of disappoint me because I've always been a fan of Waltman's. Too bad they didn't make this a No DQ match, a brawl would probably be the only entertaining thing that could come out of this match.

The minute Bischoff announced that this match was for TNA contracts, i knew this was a set-up by Nash, who will definately turn on EY to help Hall and Waltman get the win and the contracts

And while I don't think Hall has much left in the tank wrestling wise he can still be usefull as a mouthpiece for the Band. Waltman I still believe has quite a bit of talent and could be an asset to the company

This one is tough. On one hand, there is no way in hell they can give Scott Hall a contract. He looks like complete shit, sounds like shit, and is as unreliable as they come. On the other hand, Waltman looks to be in pretty good shape and I could see him as an X-Division heel. So, unless something crazy happens, I see the shitstorm that is Scott Hall overshadowing the potential in Waltman. Nash and EY will win.

This match won't be anything special and I see Young and Pac being in the match for the most part. The build up has been pretty good and I have been entertained quite a bit, I was also shocked with how much Waltman and Hall haven't got on my nerves. I want Young and Nash to win because Hall and Waltman won't really have much to give after this so I see no point in them still being in the company. Unless Nash turns on Young I see them walking out as winners and Waltman and Hall walking out and never returning.

This match is a big opportunity for Young and I hope that TNA will use it to put him over. Hall and Waltman will remain over no matter what, and they could always find another way to show up even if they have (kayfabe) been forced to leave TNA. That stipulation is just there to make the match sound more interesting, they aren't going anywhere. TNA seems to be planning to push Young otherwise he wouldn't be involved with "The Band" in this angle, and it would make more sense for him and Nash to get the win because a loss would hurt Young's credibility whereas a loss will not hurt either Waltman or Hall. The match itself won't be anything special.... hopefully most of it is Young VS Waltman since Nash can't do much in the ring and Hall is out of shape.... I'm not expecting much.

DAGGER'S PREDICTION
Kevin Nash and Eric Young will defeat Scott Hall and Sean Waltman.

Would they actually go with a Nash turn?

No. They're not that predictable.

I don't know here. As has been said, I don't see Pac and Hall sticking around too long. That said, I just can't see them not wanting to do more Band segments every week. The powers that be seem to get a kick out of them. So even if Pac and Hall lose, I don't doubt that we'll get a few more weeks of them getting past the awful security at the iMPACT Zone. Whatever the decision is, I'm sure it doesn't matter in the long term. And it might not even be a factor the next night.

Prediction: The match will be fine if Young and Pac get to do their thing.

I see some sort of swerve coming but I don't know by who. However, I fully expect Hall and Waltman to be getting into TNA after Destination X. Hall and Waltmans current work has actually been pretty decent. Hall has been surprisingly good on the microphone and Waltman can still go in the ring.

On to point, I can of have an irking feeling that it will be Eric Young to turn on Nash. Obviously, I am not certain about this but I get the feeling that Hall and Nash will finally be getting a proper feud with one another and that won't work is Nash turns on Young. I could also see Easy E having something to do with the outcome of this match. There could be no turn at all but just EB fucking with Nash and costing him the win.

In any scenario I see Hall and Waltman finally getting jobs at least for a little while. But then again I could always be wrong.

hopefully hall and waltman win this match and get the contracts. i think its going to happen one of three ways:

1. Easy E turns heel and helps hall and waltman win the match
2. Kevin Nash turns on EY and lets hall and waltman win.
3. Kevin Nash turns on EY.. and EASY E and Hogan are in on it. they all turn heel and reform the tna version of the nWo.

hopefully they find some way to keep Hall around in tna. he may not be as good as he once was in the ring but the man is still GOLDEN on the mic...

HEY YO!!
