-Foreshadowing the return of the Six Sided Ring.

-An all X-Division PPV.

-This certainly explains the build up of "Bischoff wants to destroy the X-Division"

-TNA and AAA has signed a new deal which means we can see some AAA talent coming into this.

I hope people understand THIS is how "Wrestling Matters" booking PPVs that people will actually buy and not giving away 20 minute spot matches on TV every week because you want them to be ROH.

This is how you build an alternative.

Wasn't last years supposed to be all X-Division until TNA realised how worthless and lacking in depth the division was? They'll probably do the same this year until a week before the show when they add Sting and others to the card. Fortunately TNA build towards TV shows and not pay-per-views.

I can't see them not having some kind of world title match at the show. I think there maybe be an Ultimate X match, a X title match and maybe an X division star wrestling Bischoff. Then a few other matches. With the 6 sided ring making a return for this PPV as a theme, kinda like Lockdown.

This works tremendously if it's also accompanied by the return of X Division stars from yesteryear, some of whom still work for the company, and a few who do not — namely Jay Lethal, Petey Williams, Sonjay Dutt, AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Samoa Joe, Elix Skipper and more.

Much like was done with Hardcore Justice, if you're going for the nostalgia kick, give the fans nostalgia — bring back the old stars, if even for a one-night event.

Hell, add to that list Kid Kash, Low Ki and Jerry Lynn, too!

Makes me wonder if AJ will be getting a title shot soon. Makes perfect sense to do it for this PPV.

Considering Angle/Jarrett was announced as a #1 contendership match, I seriously doubt it.

As great as it'd be to get AJ into the main event like that again, I don't think you'll be seeing that until his feud with Bully Ray has passed at the very least, and right now they've yet to even have a singles match.

If I'm a betting man, my money is on AJ not winning that title again for at least four months, if not longer.

Hopefully the current storyline with Bischoff leads to a match where is the person on Bischoff's side wins, the X Division is gone from TNA, and is person on the side of the X Division wins, they get an all X Division ppv. As has been said before, the ppv could be like Hardcore Justic, i.e. a nostalgia show, or it could kickstart the next golden age of the X Division. It will probably be the former, but I hope it's the latter.

Poaters are done well in advanced, and often never really reflect what happens on a PPV. How many times has the WWE made someone the face for a ppv poster, and they have a minor role on the show

Meh.

-Foreshadowing the return of the Six Sided Ring.

Nah its gone get over it.

-An all X-Division PPV.

Yeah right a PPV with no world heavyweight title or world tag-team title on the line that makes sense

Maybe lets wait and see.

That could be true, but again lets wait and see.

With the slogan "forward to the past" it seems as if the whole premise of the PPV would be a nostalgic feel to original X-Division matches. I'm thinking it would be similar to Hardcore Justice last year being that it has a theme to it. About the six sides, as much as I would like to see it return, it might just appear one-night only at Destination X. Maybe it might permanently return some day down the road.

We'll have to wait to see if that happens and des everybody forget the X Division tag line "It ain't about weight limits it's about no limits". This is why Samoa Joe, Kurt Angle, and now Abyss are Champs the X Div Title is like their IC Title.

An X Division only PPV might sound good amongst TNA's hardcore fans, but it's a really bad idea truthfully. They need the bigger names in order to sell the show to more casual fans. This includes people outside of the X Division. As exciting as each match would be, that doesn't sell PPV's. Big names in high profile matchups do. An X Division only PPV with 9 spectacular high flying matches would sell less than a PPV consisting of only one match if it had someone like Sting or RVD in it. The casual fans need more than the high flying action, so that's why an all X Division PPV would be a bad idea.

On one hand, IF TNA is doing this as something of a nostalgia kick, why would it come across as anymore successful than Hardcore Justice? An all X Division spotfest ppv would appeal to the hardest of hardcore TNA fans just as Hardcore Justice did to for fans that are still fanatics of ECW. Hardcore Justice was an awful idea and an even more awful ppv. Granted, the X Division isn't and hasn't been comprised of out of shape, no talent, overrated hacks as the vast majority of the ECW roster was. At the same time, however, those same overrated hacks are probably still more relevant now than the X Division has been for going on 3 years now.

An all X Division ppv would, most likely, have infinitely more exciting and better matches than Hardcore Justice. As others have already said though, TNA had planned on doing this before but the X Division had so little relevance that the idea was scrapped. I don't see the X Division as being any more meaningful now as it was then. I guess it could be said that some of the X Division guys are actually getting more tv time now over the past few weeks than they have in months, but they've been used almost exclusively as fodder.

If TNA does go through with making Destination X an all X Division ppv this time around, why should anyone buy it? Why should anyone pay $35 to watch a wrestling ppv comprised of almost 100% irrelevant wrestlers?

I think the real question is, do they even have enough X-Division guys for this PPV cause the current division looks smaller than it's ever been. Unless if they are to bring back old X-Division guys for one night only and they move Joe & AJ back to X-Division one night only, it would be the only way this PPV would work. Personally, even though the X-Division aren't full of big names, I'd love to see this PPV happen. The X-Division hardly gets recognized these days and this storyline the X-Division has going on with Bischoff & Hogan currently makes the perfect set-up for this PPV. But just so this PPV isn't just an X-Division PPV with no real importance behind it, I would have an Immortal vs. TNA X-Division matchup to give it a credible main event heading into the PPV such as AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels or AJ vs. Joe vs. Daniels again. Maybe Daniels or AJ could defect to Immortal and we have Immortal vs. Fourtune between Daniels & AJ or Fourtune vs. Immortal vs. TNA between Daniels, AJ & Joe.

I can see this being the PPV of the X-Division's triumph over Immortal, with the Main Event being a bout for the X-Division Championship against Abyss. They could bring in a few more X-Division guys from the past (not likely) or AAA people (more likely), pitch them against Immortal and a bunch of heels so we have more than four matches, have them win their matches, and finally whoever beats Abyss will have a glorious celebration with the entire X-Division in the ring like when AJ won his first TNA world title. That's what I imagine it would be, at least.

A return of the six sided ring for one night only won't kill anyone. It'll give a boner to the hardcore TNA fans so they can shut the fuck up about it, even though they might want it even more once they see it return at Destination X.

Hopefully this will give an insight to TNA management about JUST how important the X-Division is to TNA fans. Good buy rate - push it. Shitty buy rate - do whatever you want.
