Danny Danger!!

Occasional Pre-Show
Nobody cares about the jobbers that you see on WWE programming. Well, unless you know the poor jobber, that is.

For me, that moment has come.

I don't know if he still considers me a friend, as we argued a lot the last few times we did our own wrestling together, but my friend, or former friend, maybe, Danny Danger got squashed on ECW tonight. Unfortunately I missed most of the match since I had no prior knowledge of this happening, but it was still pretty cool to see someone I know getting thrown around by 2 guys who are nothing more than physiques. Well, ok, maybe I'm writing off Jackson too soon, but Kozlov is terrible.

So now I can say that I know someone who's performed on WWE TV. I think that's kinda cool.

Along these same lines, I saw a guy named Adam Evans wrestle on ECW & job to Ricky Ortiz over the summer after seeing him at Intergrity Pro Wrestling in the Chicagoland Area. Again, not an answer to a question, but it is cool to see a guy I saw front row come up to the big time (well, whatever ECW is) and job.

The jobbers are there to make the wrestlers look better. That's how they used to do it. That's how the Hardy's started. Maybe next time you see Danny Danger, he'll be opening the door at the Royal Rumble lol.

Well, Danny's only 18 years old, and to the best of my knowledge he's supposed to be going to some training school in Texas. He can do a lot of different moves in the ring, he has some charisma and cut promos. His character, at least in the wrestling that we did together, was very Chris Jericho. He definitely has potential, as I'm sure plenty of other guys out there do.

The only potential knock on him is size. He's not all that big and probably won't get much bigger either, and we know that smaller size guys don't always play in WWE. If he ever makes it to the "big-time," he'd probably be better in TNA, except for the fact that TNA doesn't seem to care about the X-Division anymore.

He definitely appeared to make Jackson and Kozlov look big and menacing and powerful, which is what he was supposed to do, of course. Hopefully he made enough of an impression on someone.

Kozlov is terrible? He's a former USA Open Heavyweight Sambo Champion and USKBA International Heavyweight Grappling Champion. He's trained in freestyle wrestling, sambo, kickboxing, judo, and mixed martial arts.

What has Danny Danger done?

Danny probably has learned to be a WRESTLER!

Its alright saying "well im a blackbelt in karate, i can bench 600 pounds etc", but this is WRESTLING. You can have all the skill in the world hurting people, in wrestling, your supposed to stuff that only LOOKS like it hurts, not just going around battering everyone and putting them out injured. You also need to know how to sell moves and generate heat from the crowd(which Koslov cannot do)

Hence why gusy like Koslov and Henry suck. Neither of them have any personality going for them, even with the "legitimate" backgrounds behind them.

On the other side of the coin, you have Santino Marella. He is apparently one hard mothatrucker, yet he plays a comedy character AND is hugely over with the crowd, despite playing a crappy gimmick.

No, it's not. It's entertainment.

Who has Kozlov put out injured?

Kozlov had plenty of personality and got tons of heat from the crowd with his original "I love double double e" character. It's not his fault WWE decided to put him in a generic "tough guy" role. Comparing Kozlov to Henry is absurd. As is comparing their backgrounds. Weight lifting is not a form of physical combat.

It's creative who has turned Kozlov into what he is. I missed the opening segments of ECW though, maybe I will see Danny in the future.

I live in Tampa, so I always try to look out for guys from FCW I might have seen around the city.
