Daniel Bryan Update: He Has Concussion Issues

Punk stated in an interview that he suffered 37 concussions throughout his whole wrestling career. Now he's training for UFC. Ziggler will be fine in terms of health.. stop overreacting, he's had what, two concussions his entire career? That's nothing compared to Punk who is now training for REAL fighting..

Also look at Orton; he's suffered so many concussions he had to take time off due to.. hes like 15 years into his career and still going strong. Still got a lot left in the tank despite his concussions. His last concussion was two years ago. So you're theory of "once you suffer one, you're more likely to suffer another" is false

Research, how does it work?

Were he has two fights, at most, per year, and they stop the fight if someone is clearly badly injured.

More like 4. His concussions being a factor in why they wont push him isn't me reacting, its what has been said by them internally.

Just because he has gone a while without getting one doesn't mean his likelihood of getting another isn't higher than other people.

Also, its not a theory, its been proven by medical research, and a multitude of case studies.

By using both guys as examples and admitting they have had multiple concussions, you have disproven your own statement that "concussions are a one time thing"

But seriously how can a concussion be career-threatening? At worst it takes you out for a month or two, then you get back in the ring. It doesn't have permanent effects like an injured joint would have.
Seriously how can a neck injury be career-threatening? At worst you take a year off and get back in the ring like Austin.

Maybe just maybe, there is a difference in severity in concussion issues just like difference in severity in other injuries.

nah thats some fucked up logic m8

Punk has suffered 37 concussions.. but when has he EVER took time off due to concussion? I have NEVER heard him receiving a concussion up until he quit, and I am a huge Punk fan. If he had suffered that many concussions, dont you all think that we would have heard of them BEFORE he quit? Also most of his time off was due to knee injuries, and overall body pain in the back, neck, etc.. never saw a single report about a concussion, despite having 37 of them in his entire career. Also the WWE still pushed as the #2 star, despite the concussions.

The WWE will push whoever they want. The reason they don't push Ziggler is NOT because of the 4 concussions in his entire career. Just look at Orton, he's reportedly suffered 7 concussions and he's always on top. So clearly the WWE don't consider concussion history into who they push or not.

Also there are multiple superstars who have only suffered one concussion and never suffered another. Sheamus suffered one in 2010 after Elimination Chamber PPV, then when was the next time he suffered one? never.. then look at The Miz, he suffered a concussion at WM 27 and never suffered another one. Hell, he even CONTINUED his WM match despite receiving a cnocussion in the middle of it. He even SHOWED UP on the next day at Raw, despite his concussion. If concussions were that big of a deal, would Miz willingly work through it like that? Would the WWE even let him?

Back to the subject, Daniel Bryan will be fine. It's clear that he has a burning desire for wrestling, probably the most passionate person on the roster; he isn't going to let a mere concussion stop him.

This sucks.. but concussions aren't a serious issue. He should just work through it like a man. Hell I understand why the company likes Cena so much now; he wrestles through injuries and concussions (when's the last time he took a break due to concussion).. so i'll give Cena credit for that.. most of the roster acts like total whusses nowadays.

That's a flat out lie.

Brett Lindros (brother of Eric Lindros) who played for the New York Islanders had to retire due to called post stress concussion syndrome, or something like that. He had received a series of concussions after only playing for a couple of years in the NHL. .

He was a promising player and was drafted 9th overall. If he had continued playing he would probably have been as good or better than his brother, who played for the Flyers for all those years. I'm sure there are others but he's the name that springs to mind when this subject is brought up. So to say that it isn't serious, is just talking out your arse.

Punk has suffered 37 concussions..

No no no, Punk says he has had 37 concussions. You might want to rethink using the guy who is currently being sued for defamation as a legitimate source of information.

I'm with you there. They don't push him because he's shit.

Just look at Orton, he's reportedly suffered 7 concussions and he's always on top. So clearly the WWE don't consider concussion history into who they push or not.

And how often have we seen Orton this year?

Pretty sure Miz suffered a concussion when Kofi legit hit him with a Trouble in Paradise. That's beside the point. Not suffering a second concussion does not mean you're not more susceptible to getting them than others.

Back to the subject,

Nobody veered away from the subject.

I don't see how anyone can think repeated concussions aren't a serious problem.

It's your BRAIN for fuck's sake. If you keep damaging it, then it will start to suffer permanently, just like any other part of your body.

That's why Mick Foley apparently struggles to find his way home at night, the amount of head shots he took over the years was ridiculous.
