Cutting Edge on ECW With CM Punk?...

TheVoice

Watching from the Shadows
ECW Champion CM Punk will be Edge’s guest tomorrow on the Cutting Edge on ECW on Sci-Fi.
Wrestlezone

This seems straight out o the blue. Ayone have any ideas on where WWE are going with this one?

Noticed a lot of talk on the forums about Edge's stable, could this be he addition of a new member? I mean lets face it, a long term stable needs more than three guys involved, especially when two of the three really haven't got much worth to them yet (I'm not saying that Zach and Curt don't have potential, but they aren't a threat to anyone ATM)

The beginning of the heel turn that Punk is beginning to desperately need to develope his character? WWE has to do something with him soon, and this would be a great way to generate some heat by association, and for Punk to cut the promos he does best, as a heel.

Or could we be seeing a beatdown of Punk? Another ECW member to the edgeheads? Nitro anyone?

Anyone else looking forward to seeing where this goes?:headscratch:

Main subject will end up being Chavo. He's been involved in both angles....for some reason. Frankly, I'm a little tired already of Chavo having THREE matches in order to get a match, lol.

Ok picture this Shelton Benjamin Vs. CM Punk!!!! So Punk goes for the GTS and Shelton somehow gets out of it and does a T-Bone suplex out of nowhere and gets the three and wins the ECWE Championship. There i just made ECWE's ratings go up!!!!

What's happened with Shelton anyway?? every new guy on ECW gets a title shot...except for Shelton Benjamin?? i don't get it... as for the cutting edge, i doubt this will be a heel turn for CM Punk.. he is the 'straight edge' superstar, edge describes himself as the Guns N' Roses of wwe, wwe wouldnt do this to punk. so it has to be another Edge-Guerrero beatdown

I have a feeling they're slowly building Shelton up so he can be the one to take the title from CM Punk at/after Wrestlemania. Punk seems to be too big for the show that exists for, essentially, training the younger guys by having the older guys that won't receive much of a push and don't have anything else better to do. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw Punk lose before the draft and then move over to Smackdown or Raw. If he goes over to Smackdown, he'll be in the WHC race, but over on Raw, he'll be for the IC title as they're stacked with main event faces. The WWE clearly trusts Shelton with titles as they've given him a bunch, and they definitely show that they want him to be a big star but that they're worried, as it seems we all are, that his mic skills are weighing him down. He clearly has the in-ring skills...plus he's always billed as "the best pure athlete in the WWE" lol. The ECW championship gives Shelton what he needs: spotlight and a legitimate title that doesn't put too too much pressure on him, as its third-rate to the WWE/WHC titles. I'd be shocked if we didn't see Shelton win the ECW title this year and then lose it to someone like Kane.

Yeah, WWE figures that if they get a high profile guy on ECW like Edge that it will help ratings. Expect to see it lead into the Punk/Guerrero match, and maybe Edge interfere or something.
