So I wanted to make a FAT32 partition for my NTSF portable hard drive. I did so, but accidentally made the parition too big. I split it, and made a 30GB FAT32 partition. I tried to take the extra partition and put it back with the original NTSF partition but it wouldn't work because it wasn't adjacent or contiguous or something, and Vista doesn't support advanced hard drives or something like that.

If I delete the extra partition, will the space just go back to the first one?
Am I risking hurting the drive if I do that?
Will I just have to suffer with two NTSF partitions?

delete the partition and start again, their maybe a case that youll need to format the drive again, if so just dump everything onto the drive itself.

either way youll need to get rid of the partition, you can easily do this by right clicking on myt computer and click manage, this will allow you to look at the drie and partition and repartition the drive using the proper format
