  • Eliminate WWE, Use WHC

  • Eliminate WHC, Use WWE

Just wondering what the consensus is on which way they go with the "two belts, one championship" situation. Realistically, it lends itself to four possible outcomes:

1. Create New WWE World Heavyweight Championship Belt

2. Eliminate the WHC and simply use The WWE Title

3. Eliminate WWE and simply use the WHC Title

4. Seperate them once again.

Of these, I prefer a new title. I'm not a fan of the last couple WWE Title belts, and I see no way they will eliminate the "name beand" title and use WHC. I also wouldn't be opposed to a separation. I originally thought that downshifting to one Hvwt title would create more focus on the IC Title, which sadly, has not been the case.

I've always been against re-unifying the titles and I still believe 100% that it was the wrong way to go. This upcoming WrestleMania is a perfect example, where you have half a dozen top level competitors thrown into the Battle Royal because there's nothing for them to do. There's way too much top talent and not enough room. That's why WWE created the Brand Extension in the first place, why it was the best thing they ever did, and why WWE still needs the World Heavyweight Championship.

I absolutely loathe the new WWE title design, so I would be happy to see that get tossed. However, I also think it would be weird if the belt that was once the WCW title (and for many years now considered the secondary championship) if that was the one left standing, so for that reason I think it leaves only one option: new belt. I've said it a million times, everyone wants the winged eagle back, but since that isn't likely to happen, if they could make some kind of close approximation to it, that would be ideal, sort of like the attitude era belt was.

At this point, I don't think there is any reason to separate them again. Instead, they need to go back to the way things used to be and give the IC belt value again, and bring it back to its status of being the secondary title. It's shameful that it isn't even being defended at WM. They need to get a few guys who can really work a great program like Wyatt, Rollins, Cesaro, Ziggler, etc. to have a very long, intense, rivalry for it, to start bringing some of its prestige back.

The current WWE title is the ugliest belt I have ever seen. I actually think that the Spinner Belt was better. They should either use the World title (which they probably won't since it us the old WCW title) or design a new one but that current WWE title is horrible.

I like the unification. But, I think they should take the same tack they did with the IC(thanks Cody Rhodes), and they should bring back the old school winged eagle '87-94 belt. All of the greats from the era most of the current talent grew up watching wore that one except HHH and Rock. I'd love to see the end of the gimmick title belts and get back to it being prestigious. That old school winged eagle belt has some prestige and history to it. That should be the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

I don't want the big gold belt because it's not the WWE's championship. It's a spectre of a long dead organization. Eventually I'd like to see it go back to being simply the WWE Championship again. There's no need for the added WHC designation. As for the belt, I'd be happy if they brought back the spinner as long as it meant the end of the giant class ring belt.

I say split them up and bring back the brand split. Look at the talent relegated to the Andre Battle Royal: Sheamus, Henry, Show, ADR, Christian, Langston, Rhodes, Goldust, Miz, Sandow, Mysterio, Ziggler, Kingston, Khali, etc. That includes 9 former world champions. They could all be placed into interesting feuds/storylines if creative would put the effort in. Add in the rest of the guys like Cena, Bryan, Orton, Batista, The Shield, Wyatt, Kane, Cesaro, Swagger, etc.

Add in divas, tag teams and bring back the Cruiserweight division (Mysterio, Sin Cara, Tyson Kidd, Justin Gabriel, Yoshi Tatsu, Evan Bourne, Xavier Woods, Adrian Neville, Sami Zayn, maybe even Brad Maddox and Ricardo Rodriguez, etc.). RAW takes the WWE, Diva and IC titles, SD gets the WHC, US and Cruiserweight titles and tags are inter-promotional. Main Event can be an inter-promotional show (though with RAW getting the extra hour, SD could just take Main Event).

Enough time has elapsed to where they no longer need to have the World Heavyweight Champion bringing out both belts. The unification was almost 4 months ago. I personally would want to see a new WWE World Heavyweight Championship design be created. The current design of the WWE Championship is mostly fine, but I'd want to see a gold plate behind the WWE logo instead of the black one. This signifies the unification of the big gold belt as being part of the WWE Championship now. If a new belt is brought in or if one of the two designs is retired, I can see it happening the Raw after Wrestlemania after Daniel Bryan has become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion and has had a chance to raise up a belt in each hand leading a YES chant.

If they are going to eliminate one and not the other, the WWE Championship design should stay. The federation treated the WWE Championship with a greater deal of respect than the World Heavyweight Championship during the time that there were two world titles, so it wouldn't make sense for them to keep the big gold belt in favor of the WWE Championship. Although what would make even less sense would be to seperate them again. You went through with the unification, now make the one world title and the wrestlers in the title tier matter. It gives a chance for the midcard belts to be made important again too. Seperating the titles would be 100% pointless.

Same here. I dont think they'll split up at least not within the year because that would be like admittinf it was a mistake even though I feel a lot of talent was hurt by unifying them. My answer to the question is just keep carrying both. The WWE title is ugly imo the WHC is GOAT but they wont use it as their only world title. So i say keep both also because it looks cool on everyone I imagine holding it
