Congratulations America, You dun FUCKED IT UP!

Member when Texas threatened to secede when Obama won his second term?

I agree the protesting shows piss poor sportsmanship, but I also don't recall Obama conducting speeches that marginalized groups of people of different ethnicities during his campaigns either. It's backlash and we'll get over it . Some of us have weed now.

And for that, you are welcome

They even predicted how Trump was going to wave coming down the escalator at some mall (too early and CBF looking up what exact significance this mall has or is) and even had a vote sign fall the exact same place in the cartoon and real life.

I hope you're joking. That episode was made after Trump's announcement. The Simpson reference was a line Lisa made in passing in a future-based episode.

The only person I feel bad for is Barack Obama. With Congress, Trump is going to wipe out every single piece of legislation put forth by the Obama administration over the past eight years. Bad news for fans of moving forward. I'm not a liberal, as many of Obama's supporters are not, but I found him sensible and reasonable, and he has really done a fantastic job.

And I'm sure this will irritate some of my fellow Obama supporters, but I'm really not opposed to repealing the Affordable Care Act. I was for it when I thought it would drive down premiums. It has not. I don't particularly care for the individual mandate, but I thought it would help drive down premiums. It has not. I think the Affordable Care Act has proven that half measures will not work with healthcare reform. If it isn't single-payer with tight price regulations, it's not going to work.

They most certainly did. This is what happens when something like healthcare is privatized. It never should have been in the hands of the free-market to start with, so now we're in a really tough spot.

And you have senior Republicans talking about how Obamacare was one of the worst pieces of legislation ever passed, erasing the part of the story where the GOP made it the mess it became.

The normalising of lying, the media's inability to hold politicians to account due to the lack of trust in them and the willingness of the public to not care about lies are hallmarks of this election.

Wait wait wait!!!! Didn't Trump back Bobby Lashley for WrestleMania 23? Who says he's racist? I remember him saying, "My guy, Bobby Lashley", several times.

Seriously; we go through this shit every four years. Albeit, I'm sure that a strong case can be made for past elections being more civil. I'm just saying that the insanely stressful job of President seems to be designed specifically for someone who's dumb enough to want it.

Politicians have to do that cheesy "I'm so-and-so, and I approved this message" statement for their TV ads because George H.W. Bush lied about having any involvement in the Willie Horton ads against Dukakis. Going back to 1859, a merchant from Baltimore named George Kyle attempted to vote and was so savagely attacked by poll-watchers that he never cast his vote and his brother died of his wounds during the attack.

People get emotionally invested in this shit because politicians from both sides are sadistic monsters. While Hillary gave a respectful speech the day after her loss, you know that she was probably telling God to go fuck himself in as many ways as she could when there were no hot mics around. Anything we simpletons do in reaction to the ways in which we're motivated by our chosen political idol is arbitrary to them, they just need to get us to vote for them.

You spend most of the year making a meme out of a dead gorilla, then wonder how you end up with Trump as president.

How can a country vote for gay rights the same year they elect a racist billionaire pig-capitalist, have-no-repsect-for-women 70 year old porn granpa, also right after a black president, is beyond me.

SERIOUSLY.

Also, the media fucked it up. This is like John Cena/Roman Reigns. They pushed Hilary so hard down the people's throats and now it feels kinda satisfactory that Trump is elected. I'm sure many people voted for him just to say "fuck off" to the media.

11k people voted for that dead gorilla. That's the sorry state of young voters. They voted for a fucking meme.

You leave harambe out of this. He is the president the world deserves

But seriously, there isnt anything wrong with voting harambe for reasons other than to laugh. The democrats (and the republicans but they wont care because they won) should look at that and say "fuck thats 11k people we did not appeal to because our candidate was a piece of shit". Voting isnt compulsory in America so to go out of your way and vote informally should send a message to washington

I agree. I actually think the system is so much better over there. You shouldn't be forced to vote. What kind of democracy is that? Just don't complain when it happens.

Um, idk, vote for one of the other human candidates who had view closer to them than a dead animal does? Doing it for a laugh has its place, but sometimes it just shows immaturity. Timing, people.

Isn't there a very very small chance that when the Electoral College actually gets together to vote in December, that they go rouge and vote for Hillary?

It could happen, but it won't. Nobody wants a coup/civil war.

Yeah if that happens, it would be chaos. Trump is going to happen and save for an impeachment if he gets convicted in one of his lawsuits, there's not much that's going to prevent it.

Nothing is going to prevent it. These protestors are wasting their time. I would guess they have a lot of it to waste, though.

Trump is here, it's over. The shock should be gone by now. I hope he spends the majority of his four years cleaning up an illegal immigration problem that doesn't exist. If he stays focused on that, it will be tough for him to screw up anything else.

Technically none of the electoral college voters would get in big trouble. I think the most trouble they can be in is a fine. However, this won't happen.

Unfortunately none of the current lawsuits would really be big enough to warrant an impeachment. Somehow, everything he has done and said isn't enough either.

Trump doesn't believe in climate change. His head of the EPA said climate change is bullshit. Climate change is not some far off problem like a lot of people think. We can always continue the fight for equal rights, abortions and all of that other crap. We cannot always have another planet. I don't agree with the violent protests but pretending this is hypocrisy because we yelled at him for not saying he would accept the results is wrong. One team didn't lose. Everyone lost. Donald Trump is dangerous. His job plan has been tried before. It went badly. The giant tax cuts have been done as well (Reagan). That didn't go well either and Reagan had to implement one of the biggest tax raises of all-time to fix that. Good luck trying to get jobs back from China when their working conditions are ones the US will not accept. But all of that doesn't matter because he thinks fucking China made up global warming. Yeah no lets think everyone is mad because people are sore losers and not because Trump is incredibly dangerous TO THE ENTIRE FUCKING PLANET.
