Computer problem

OIL

Championship Contender
Basically, my laptop will load up fine but it says programmes are not responding an awful lot all of a sudden, and everything takes a while to load up.. such as opening my computer.

Anyone know what the fuck it is?

Litterally anything. MSN, Internet down to My documents.

It fixes itself after a while, but it takes long.

I'm gonna send it off to PC World tomorrow, but any suggestions to save me some money would be appreciated.

What operating system are you using (Windows XP, Vista, etc.)? How much hard drive space do you have? And how much RAM do you have?

You can find operating system and RAM under "Control Panel" and System (in windows).

I'm on Vista Basic.

Right, the C drive or whatever has 38.7GB free and the D drive thing has 69.5GB free.

No idea about RAM, it's fast when it doesn't spazz up. Just now, only the internet froze for about 20 seconds while MSN was working.. just typing this message.

You need to find out the RAM, it's entirely possible that is your problem. Go to your Control Panel, and click on the "System and Maintenance" topic. Then, under "System", it will say "View RAM and processor speed". Click that.

By the way, your C Drive has 40 GB free and you have a D Drive with 70 GB free? Who the fuck set up your computer?
