Recently I approached KB with the proposal of running one since it has been nearly 8 years since we tried the last one. With the recent success of the Wrestlezone Tournament: Tag Team Edition we decided it might be a good time to try it. Last month I approached some of our more knowledgeable posters to send me a list of their top 64 women's wrestlers throughout history, and ultimately over 150 different women received points. Far more than what had been expected.
The setup for this tournament will be exactly the same as the WZT and the WZT: Tag Team tournaments. 64 women will fight for the title of greatest of all time in 4 separate divisions. There will be 1 round of gimmick matches, and the semi finals and finals will follow the same "King of the Ring" format of the WZT.
Each thread will allow one day of discussion before the polls open and each poll will remain open for an extra two days to get all the votes in. The finals will allow one extra day for voting. Otherwise expect the same setup as the other tournaments.
Next Tuesday at 5:00 pm central American time I will be unveiling the seeds for the tournament.
The tournament will start shortly afterwards. Feel free to speculate on names and dream matches, and get hyped in the meantime.
