Clinic called 'house of horrors'

I went and bought a St. Petersburg Times, just because. Browsing the paper, came upon this terrible story out of Philadelphia.

I'll type it out.

A doctor who provided abortions for minorities, immigrants, and poor women in a "house of horrors" clinic has been charged with eight counts of murder in the deaths of a patient and seven babies who were born alive and then killed with scissors, prosecutors said Wednesday. Dr. Kermit Gosnell, 69, made millions of dollars over 30 years, performing as many illegal, late-term abortions as he could prosecutors said. State regulators ignored complaints about him and failed to inspect his clinic, the Women's Medical Society, since 1993, but no charges were warranted against them, give time limits and existing law, District Attorney Seth Williams said. Gosnell "induced labor, forced the live birth of viable babies in the sixth, seventh, eight month of pregnancy and then killed those babies by cutting into the back of the neck with scissors and severing their spinal cord," Williams said. Early last year, authorities went to investigate drug related complaints at the clinic and stumbled on what Williams called a "house of horrors." Bags and bottles holding aborted fetuses "were scattered throughout the building," Williams said. The clinic was shut down and Gosnell's medical license was suspended after the raid. Gosnell and four workers were charged with murder, while five others were charged with controlled drug violations and other crimes. None of the employees had any medical training, and one, a high school student, performed intravenous anesthesia with potentially lethal narcotics, Williams said. All 10 of the accused were taken into custody, authorities said.

This is absolutely fucking sickening.. :disappointed:

:gasp: I'm gonna be honest. Reading that made me feel pretty ill.Especially where it said his medical licence has been suspended, as opposed to him being shot.

Oh... wow. Eight murder counts for deaths of patients? He must have been REALLY back alley.

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is one of the many reasons we should legalize abortion, so at least we can regulate that shit. Then again, I would assume it is legal in Pennsylvania(?), so who knows.

I suppose that a house of horrors is better than the former nickname for the Bristol Cardiac Surgury unit. The doctors at that hospital dubbed it "The Killing Fields"

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is one of the many reasons we should legalize abortion, so at least we can regulate that shit.

I agree with this.

Also, these are the kind of people we need to execute. What exactly is going to come from suspending his licence? This kind of behaviour doesn't warrant a slap on the wrist.

Some fucked up shit right here.
