Christian's Song: Old version or New version?

Pretty sure this thread has already been done, sorry if that's the case but I could not find one so here goes.

I recently watched my dvd for wrestlemania 21 and Christian still had the older version of his entrance song. I had forgotten about that and now I kind of wish he'd go back to using that one, although the new version is great too.

The new one fits him better because the singer isn't a girl.... but the old one just sounds a lot better in my opinion even though girls sing it, it doesn't have the "generic rock" feel that the new one has.... which version of the song do you prefer?

Don't just say "new one" or "old one" gotta say why you prefer it.

I prefer the old song. The reason why is it has a semi slow build up in the beginning with the new one doesn't have. I also enjoyed his old TNA theme for the same reasons. The new one is much faster and I don't think it fits Christian as well. Then again I don't really care for the "real band" entrance themes with lyrics all that much.

The old song was by a band called Waterproof Blonde which as far as I know have broken up or is at least on hiatus. The new song is by Story of the Year.

I agree with all wrestling. The slow intro sounds better and suits christian a hell of a lot better

old one cause it fit with his gimmick i mean he was like the rock with this theme you know he was a leader for some reason with this and the song personifyed it with the hoodie and everything he was like a leader and it was like if your not a peep your not cool.

but the new one is to puched and feels like a pokemon theme song.

The first song had a thicker guitar riff and a nice build, plus it sound's a lot better sung by a female than it does sung by a male. I have personally been hoping that they will change it back, but so far no such luck, oh well......

I'm going to break the norm here and say the new song by Story of the Year because I think the old theme went with his gimmick when he was borderline homosexual, because here aren't many guys with themes performed by women. However, the new theme fits with his gimmick because it's more upbeat and it gets you up out of your seat.

I love them both. I like the strings intro on the old, but the new one is more face-sounding and gets you to pop.
I think they both fit his characters at different times, and right now the new one is what fits him.

I like them both but for this stage of his career I feel the new one is more appropriate. I was always kind of.....Meh....about the fact he had a woman singing his theme even though I liked the song. And now, I like the SOTY version because as is being said it hits harder at the beginning and makes you pop like "YEAH, CHRISTIAN!".

I've actually preferred themes that don't have that long of a build up. Ones that have that sharp opening note. A hard first hit catches the fans attention and makes them excited that their favorite guy is coming out. And the slower one just doesn't really have that same element of surprise which is why I like the SOTY one now.

Sorry. I kind of rambled.

I completely agree. Even the Undertaker's theme, while slower in pace then a CM Punk heel turn, has that opening *BONG!*, and you know who is coming out in a hurry, and that gets the fans up!

If you actually find the source SOTY song, it's MUCH slower, like the original was. Heck, even Waterproof Blond's version was much slower then what was remixed. WWE's music director Jim Johnston likes to generaly remix songs to a faster pace.

But I do like the newer version better. I liked the old one, and was kind of expecting it at first, but I was really suprised to hear just a newer remake of the SAME song.
