The Many Entrances of AJ Styles

I've posted this thread to see simply if I am the only one who is getting extremely irritated with the constant butchering and remixing of AJ's theme.

Over the years had various incarnations of the song "I Am" then a couple of years ago debuted a new rap remix to it which was received mixed reviews however it grew on me personally, even thought I missed the old version.

Then at Bound For Glory last year on the biggest TNA stage of the year AJ debuted a new version closer to the old version (if that makes sense), I loved it but ever since then almost every week AJ is entering to some new mixed mashed mutilated version of that song before now reverting back to the rap version!

I know it is petty to get this wound up over an entrance but I think AJ has (or had) one of the more unique and distinguishable entrances aside from the generic vocal-less guitar solos everybody else has and I find it frustrating seeing it constantly chopped and changed.

Thoughts?

You say he's been changing it since BFG I think it's been the same but they changed the starting point of the song. But yeah he's back to his 2009 now. I think maybe AJ himself didn't like the new one, and perhaps requested it to be changed back. It'd be weird for creative to say "you're getting a new song...oh wait no you're going back".

Having said that I like his new gloves that form P1 when he puts his hands together I know he came up with that himself pretty neat and unique to him since Rhodes and McCool adopted his sleveless hoodie

Yeah seems WWE want everything from AJ Styles in WWE except the guy himself, wonder if would be a different story if he didn't decide to tattoo his TNA name on himself *sigh*. Then we could have seen him debut as Roy Brown or Gary Jenkins or something.

Both of those names would be better than the Bryan Danielson treatment. "Making his way to the ring, "The Fantastic One" Styles AJ!"

If he ever came to WWE it would probably be AJ Stiles.

Anywho, I have also noticed AJ's constantly changing music, and I kinda like it. It fits his character. What I mean by that is TNA has no clue what to do with it. They try something new, but then don't go all the way and fall back on the same crap. (See what I did there?)

AJ needs a whole gimmick overhaul. New music, video, ring gear, gimmick, and IMO a new finisher. AJ hasn't had a gimmick in a long time and I think if he ever wants to be champ again he needs to change something.

Honestly, I've always hated AJ's theme. It's the stupidest song I've ever heard. The lyrics make no sense either.

"You are you are. I am, I am." - ORLY?!

But as wrestling is I've gotten used to it and don't pay attention at the sheer ear bleeder that is AJ Styles' theme song. It's like by some poor-ass indy rap ... group or whatever, the beat is horrible, the lyrics are ludicrous and it's random as hell. As far as the entrance being memorable and unique ... really? All he does is walk to the ring and do his taunt. If that shit's unique then Lance Storm is a fucking mastermind.

I think it comes off like that because he's kept it pretty much the same all those years, only changing his ring gear, adding some body hair and some baby fat. No homo but I sure miss the days of lean, fit, no bad spray-on tan AJ. I swear he sometimes looks like the annoying orange.

Anyway, I'm just glad he's updating his look all the time and his theme too and not to just introduce a new piece of merchandise. Cena. It's refreshing if nothing else. And it fits his persona. It's always a twist on something AJ would wear. Not a random fucking coat on a random fucking dude as it is in the WWE. THE MAN MAKES THE GEAR, THE GEAR DOESN'T MAKE THE MAN!

One of these days 'Taker is gonna come out on a hoverboard, I swear. Because .. it's cool! Saw that damned thing he was wearing last Monday? He looked like a hedgehog in heat.

And I sure hope I never see AJ in the WWE. I do NOT want to see Alexander Jacobson walk down the ramp and wrestle a match with limited moveset while maintaining a smile AT ALL FUCKING TIMES while Cole and King are talking how amazing this "young" man is and how he has educated feet and is so unique and does things that have never been done before like, you know, a moonsault. They'll make him dance before you know it. He doesn't need that kind of stress, he's got a child on the way.

As long as it has the "Get ready to fly" at the start I'm happy. I'm sure he gets to choose what he uses, more power to him to use whatever he wants, but when it didn't have the "Get ready to fly" it was significantly less cool.

The Gritz remix he has now is awesome. I don't know why they ever rehashed it and had it changed, as you know when that *dum* *dum* "Get Ready to Fly!" comes on, AJ Styles is here.

I personally like the original one. When I first heard it I was like A.J. is the top guy in TNA. Now each version just gets worse and worse like Quiet Riot albums. I hope they just stop the remixes and just go with the original.
