Christian To ECW

Did anybody else about sh^t themselves when that just happened?

WTF is Christian doing on ECW? Granted he will own that effing show and it will be amazing but what the eff does this all mean?

What it actually means, and this is history proven with very few exceptions,
is that any talent that main events for rival promotions is automatically downgraded to level C by the WWE.
Debuting on Smackdown would have been too good for Christian, even though
he has history with Edge, and would have propelled him to the top there, so
they put him on their C show and will probably use him to elevate Swagger.
He's a survivor and will make the best of it anyway.

Yes, I think we were all shocked and surpised Christian debuted on ECW.....Like me 2 days after it happened! We all think he is going to jump in the draft, but if he wins the title and jumps ship after WM why do you have Swagger look like a loser for a guy who is 2 month rental for ECW? I think thye might keep him on ECW, what do you think?

It makes sense. As others have said, once the initial 'what the..?' reaction subsided, a little thought explains why. He's been away from the WWE for over three years so I'd imagine quite a few don't know who he is, or have a vague memory of him. He can come back and show what he can do in a main event ECW feud, giving him a Championship match at WM. ECW obviously lacked such a match until Christian's return, and with the draft, if they want to move him away from ECW (potentially for a Swagger - Bourne feud) then they can do so.

Now, a little further back last year, Chris Jericho came back to challenge Randy Orton for the WWE Championship, he lost from a disqualfication, but he came back on not only a major brand, but at his first pay-per-view, he competed for the title. Now its safe to say that Christian was more prepared (post TNA) than Chris Jericho was to make a return, and many people were not around to know who Chris Jericho was or be familiar with him. To have Christian win the ECW Champion. Not as impressive as Christian vs Edge or Christian vs. Trips, or Christian vs. Cena, or Christian vs Orton. Even if he lost those matches, he would put on a great show, and would eventually become champion at some point.

Or.... Christian only purpose is to help ECW talent get more noticed. He could finish wat Matt was trying to do. Matt was doing a good job making ECW interesting, but the WWE decided to let Matt hav a break from lifting the brand and left it all to Christian and Swagger. With the trade coming up, anything could happen. I'm hopeing by next year, they end this whole ECW thing and just make these dark matches. And draft the best to the brands and let the jobbers and others to sink or swim by themselves.

This is interesting. First, it does make sense to put him on ECW right now, he basically is Matt's replacement. Also considering that the other two shows are too cluttered right now with stories and feuds, he would get lost in the shuffle. Also I'm sure that WWE hopes his presence on ECW will boost ratings. So from a business perspective, his placement on ECW (at least for now) makes sense.

On the other hand, storyline wise...not so much. Are we really expected to believe that an established wrestler (I know they won't mention his time in TNA) but he was an established star from his previous time in WWE would set his sights on the ECW belt? Really? We're honestly expected to believe that ECW is the show he would choose to make his return on?

Don't get me wrong, it's not a big deal. It just doesn't really make sense that he would be on ECW if he could have had his pick, and maybe they could have done something to explain it...like all shows wanted him but teddy somehow won the contract.

That Was One Great decision by WWE Writers,It would really attract more fans for the whole WWE Universe(Fans)

Christian has a lot still left to prove, he seemingly is a great all-round wrestler, and apart from his look seems to have everything needed to be a world champion. It's never quite happened for him though, he needs a good run because this is basically his last chance at been regonised as a possible main eventer. If he doesnt have a good run he's probably stuck as a career mid-carder, if he proves himself he may have a shot at one day holding one of the two major titles. I am a big fan of christian but if he fails to impress now I feel he will never get the chance.

Did anybody pay attention to the new name of the Unprettier on the 2/17 ECW? I don't think they need to change that move's name.

It was called the Unprettier during his previous WWE run. Why change a familiar move that is currently active.

Overall, I think Christian is the most underrated superstar in the WWE.

The move to send Christian to Ecw was very smart.
Look at it, people forgot about Captain Charisma.

Build Christian up again and once the draft hits he will be a major superstar.
I just hope they do not bring him down to the midcard level either on smackdown or raw.

I do hate how Edge keeps on winning championships like they are nothing..

Repeat wins on Money in the banks, or winning at NOWAY OUT 2 times again over and over again I mean give me a break. seriously.

Christian Cage better win not only a Ecw title but also a world or wwe tittle

If he does not I feel like they are wasting christian again which is a sad thing

This mans talent is NOW he is on the verge of stardom heck he is a star.

Vince Mcmahon just doesnt realize it...

I mean the only thing christian needs to work more on is BULKING UP MORE and more crazy in ring action he has everything THE LOOK THE PROMOS...sigh
