Christian Teases Return At Elimination Chamber?

Jack-Hammer

YOU WILL RESPECT MY AUTHORITAH!!!!
Christian has been out of action for several months due to an ankle injury suffered during his feud with Sheamus. Last night, Christian posted on Twitter that read "Love From Milwaukee", which is the city hosting tonight's Elimination Chamber ppv.

It's not unusual at all for injured wrestlers and an occassional visiting legend to post similar messages, giving fans the idea that they might pop up at the event and play some role. This tease might have a little more meat on the bone than usual since the WWE's official Twitter account re-tweeted Christian's postcard, meaning more people will potentially see it.

From what I've read, Christian is all healed up and it's tempting to think that he might play some role in the SD! Elimination Chamber match. As we all know, Santino Marella won a battle royal on SD! this past Friday to earn the right to take the injured Randy Orton's spot in the match. Now all things considered, Santino isn't someone that really comes across as being on the same level as the other participants. After all, Santino has been a comedic face & heel virtually his entire WWE career and all of his opponents tonight include the current WHC, a couple of former World Champions in Big Show & Khali, a guy that's shown he can be a relevant main eventer in Wade Barrett and possibly the greatest IC champ in a decade in Cody Rhodes. It's not impossible that we could see Santino attacked by Christian prior to the match, resulting in Santino being unable to participate and having Christian take his place.

Santino is someone whose ability is pretty underestimated because of his gimmick. He's actually pretty good inside the ring, but nobody takes him seriously. Christian, overall, is simply much better and I think most people would see him as a higher quality opponent for Bryan in this match. Santino might surprise us all and give an incredible performance tonight, but most of us aren't really expecting that.

Do you think Christian will play a role in tonight's show or is this just a tease intended to maybe coax some last minute buyers of the ppv?

Would you rather see Christian compete in the SD! EC match instead of Santino?

If Christian really is healed up and ready to go then I dont see why they wouldn't slot him into this match. The only thing is I predict D Bryan to win the match which could pretty much kill any excitement of Christian's return straight away. If he was to come back though I would want to see take Khali's place as opposed to Santino's. Yeah I know it's easier to take Khali seriously but Santino is (in my opinion) pretty funny. If you put Christian in for Khali then you change what looks like a joke of a match into something potentially entertaining.

my hope is that Christian replaces Santino a la Edge and Kofi. I think that would be awesome because not only is it Christian paying homage to his friend Edge, it would make the Chamber match one step closer to a serious match. I don't know how likely it is this will happen but I just can't see Santino in this match

Being the Christian mark i am i can't help but hope.
It would certainly hot it up too, adding another former world champion in there could only be a good decision.

I saw and thought the same thing. I'd like to see him back tonight but only if he's healthy. If he comes back before he's really ready to return, it will just end up badly in the end.

I don't think Christian should be attacking Santino or Khali. Instead have someone like Mahal attack Khali (decent rivalry to keep going until Wrestlemania because that'd be a terrible Mania match), or have Otunga attack Santino. Either way would be more interesting because we'll be wondering who the heck would replace either one. Then Teddy Long says we'll find out later so when the match is starting and all 5 other participants are in the chamber, the 6th man (whether it be Mysterio or Christian) plays his song and enters the ring. That'd make me real excited.

I toyed with the idea that henry attacks somebody. But Teddy stops Henry from getting in the match. And instead brings down a different contender :P

He Definetly Will Return Tonight,But Not Be In Action... I Think He Will Return Tonight And Start Building A Feud With On Of The Two Guys Who Took Him Out,(Randy Orton,Or Sheamus) But If Santino Wons The Elimination Chamber Tonight Im Gonna :banghead:

I toyed with the idea in my head about christian returning tonight! Have him take out santino and take his place in the EC tonight!! If christian is healthy why the hell not do that? I cant believe santino will make it inside the chamber he will be attacked its question just by who? I think it will be christian his name hasnt been brought up in awhile and it be a perfect way for him to get back into the main event status!

I want to see Christian involved in the match in some sort of way. Rather he enters or just causes another superstar the match setting up for a match at Wrestlemania. With this being said i'm not to high on the idea of Christian just simply attacking someone. There has to be something to it. We saw Edge attack Kofi Kingston previously to replace him in the Elimination Chamber. So Christian following in his foot steps i feel would be shadowed by the fact he didn't do it first. Now if he attacks someone in a more creative way then i'm all for it. I'm pretty sure most people would rather see Christian over almost all the Superstars in there. If i could set up what in my eyes would be the perfect scenario i would have Mark Henry attack Khali backstage. No one really cares if Khali is in the match. He is limited in the ring. And both Big Show and Santino are bigger faces. Then this leaves you to believe Henry is going to enter the Elimination Chamber. Then as Henry is standing over Khali he is attacked with a steel chair. To his legs and back. Leaving him on the ground. The camera angle is level to Henry laying on the ground to only lift up to see Christian smiling above him. I think this would be a perfect way to get Christian in and also allow him to be some what of a tweener.

I think if they were going to put him in the Elimination Chamber match, he would've won the battle royal on Smackdown!

If he's on the PPV tonight, I'd expect him to come out and whine and complain about this and that, then Sheamus interrupts and we get an impromtu match between them.

I certainly hope not. I don't want Christian to come back from an injury that (storyline wise) Sheamus was responsible for, only to go back to doing the exact same thing he was doing before the injury which was jobbing to Sheamus.

The only way I'd want to see them pick back up the Sheamus/Christian feud is if Christian were to win the World Title.

I also would prefer if Christian came back with a renewed attitude. Not the same whiny character. I'd like to see WWE take the direction of Christian coming back with a renewed focus and outlook on his career. You could bring up Edge calling him on his shit last year at Summerslam, and while sitting at home with injury, he realized that his career could be over at any moment. Perhaps he and Edge had a man-to-man talk. With Christian as the obvious choice to induct Edge, I think it would be very cool to have Christian return as a legitimate babyface threat.

As soon as Santino won the battle royal on SmackDown, I immidiatley thought that he would not get involved. If he walks into the match, WWE creative is a joke, but if they take him out in Edge fashion (from 2009) with Christian, I'd like that. Christian may be a heel now, but him returning from injury and giving us that "one more match" we want to see, I'd say he'd be responded like a face. That gives us someone else to cheer for.

Either that, or something else happens. Either way Santino isn't walking into the Elimination Chamber Match for the World Heavyweight Championship tonight at Elimination Chamber.

THIS.It's as simple as that.

No way is Santino going to compete in a world title match. Not when christian is healed up so he can take his place -_-

I am agreement on the points being made about Christian coming into this match in some way. I think he should do it a la Edge and take out Santino. I think there would be a good pop for that, but ultimately I see Bryan walking out champion, so it doesn't matter in the long run whether Christian is a heel or face in this match.

I'd love to see Christian take Santino out before the SD Chamber match and take his spot as it would increase the quality of the match. However I think it's just as likely that he comes out and cuts a promo, gets interrupted by Sheamus and Teddy comes out and makes a match between the two, thus getting the Rumble winner on the PPV.

I'd rather them saddle Del Rio with that spot. Him and Sheamus would be a fresher match-up, and you would have a natural current Rumble winner facing off against last year's. Shouldn't even be a match. Just a dueling promo that ends with the Brogue Kick.

I'm thinking, as it was suggested by others, that I would book Santino/Khali as the 6th entrant, and Bryan as the 5th. Thus, you have Bryan reacting either positively or negatively (depending on who it is) to whomever he is starting the match with; then, Mark Henry jumps em from behind and aggressively marches toward the chamber as Bryan horrifically looks on. Teddy comes out, reminds Mark he is suspended, and admits there is also no way Santino/Khali can compete tonight. This brings delight to Bryan's face until Teddy says, "Hold on a second, playa." Christian returns, and you start off the SD! Elimination Chamber with a hell of a one on one.

I see two things that could happen. He will either interrupt Sheamus cutting a promo and wrestle him.

Or he takes out Santino like Edge did Kofi. If he does do that I think he will win the smackdown chamber match and become champ. They will then setup a fatal fourway with Orton, Chrisitian, Daniel Bryan and Sheamus at WM.

Those 2 things are too predictable so why not put a twist on it?

Del Rio/Christian attacka Santino and then asks Teddy for the spot. Teddy tuens it down and puts him in a match vs Sheamus.

Then have which ever did not attack Santino come out as a suprise entrant for the chamber.

I'd so much rather see Christian go over to Raw, but that's wishful thinking, since I can't bring myself to watch 10 minutes of Smackdown anymore. That said, Christian staying on the blue show would give me at least one reason to tune in again.

I would love to see christian back too, but why is everyone ignoring the fact that Randy Orton will attack Santino and ente??? He always seems to be injured yet manage to compete, is this not just a clever swerve so we dont expect it? Concussion, really? really? really?

I would LOVE this!
SD has been SO lackluster as of late, besides Cody Rhodes and the Barrett/Orton feud that was going.

Smackdown Chamber: With all other "suprise" entrants or returns, let's assume that Mark Henry is still too injured to enter and Orton while may be okay, won't risk the brutal structure just prior to mania. So here are your options...

Daniel Bryan(c): I personally haven't seen him improved a lick from last years mania(I thought he was better than, and not cause he was face, I feel he has gotten even more stale and boring) and with all the other good young talent I don't get why he is world champ. But anyways, he is and while there last year match seemed good, Sheamus vs. DB for the WHC seems very mid card status too me. Not world title worthy. Even with triple threat I'd prefer to leave Bryan out of the title pic and have a significant feud to improve his mic work, showmanship and ring/story telling, as well as overall charisma.

Big Show: Probably too the average viewer the next logical choice to win but with a possible heel turn and possible match w/Shaq I don't think Show needs to be anywhere near the title right now.(Happy he broke his 9 yr. World Title drought though, no matter how short!)

Wade Barrett: My persoanl choice to win. I can't say he will but It would make sense, he is deserving, the orton/barrett thing has gone cold for now and should be revisited in the future, and finally I think Sheamus vs. Barrett would be the best singles match to get out of the world title pic on SD. Even if you add a Bryan or Orton and make a triple threat or even a fatal four way, Barrett and Sheamus are two of the besrising stars and could have a great feud.

Cody Rhodes: Another great young talent deserving of a world title but still being I.C champ and possibly the best(non-ladder) mania I.C. title match EVER, GOLDUST VS. CODY RHODES(c)!!!

The Great Khali: How he ever got ONE world title is beyond me!

Santino: The "dark horse" of the SD chamber, either enters and makes some lame impact or gets taken out. Im hoping for getting taken out.

So with the only logical conclusion besides Daniel Bryan being Wade Barrett(which I think is a long shot for WWE) and a seriously lacking chamber I think Captain Charisma could not only add some serious star power back to the SD chamber but up the possiblity of some others winning! Also he was feuding with Sheamus prior too his injury and after being involved in the world title match last year, with Edge that "passed the torch" onto him, it just makes sense!

CHRISTIAN RETURNS, WINS CHAMBER, 3 TIME WORLD CHAMPION!!!!
