Chrisitian Injured: Sent Home From European Tour

Jack-Hammer

YOU WILL RESPECT MY AUTHORITAH!!!!
I was reading a little about this yesterday. During a match against Sheamus in Belgium, Christian suffered some sort of injury to his ankle.

A few minutes ago, I read that the the current talk is that Christian's ankle is either severely sprained or broken.

First off I would like to wish Christian a safe recovery.

Second if his ankle is broken and time off is needed than I believe this could be used as an opportunity rather than a loss. You always have to think positive about hings and this hives a young heel the chance to step up. The only thing really affected by a possible extended absence would be Sheamus considering these 2 have been feuding for what seems like the longest time now. Sheamus with how over he is with the crowd can now be used in other ways, though I am not yet ,sure maybe a rivalry with Cody Rhodes? Anyway back to Christian he has always been a great technician as well as storyteller but in reality I do no think he will take time off since things that happen at house shows are never really major. Remember that John Cena injury that was going to deprive WM27 of Cena? That happened at a house show and nothing came of it. Anyway I am going on a tangent right now so I will end by saying that hopefully this is something minor, and if not then Smackdown can continue having a good product even with one of their best guys omitted from ring time for awhile.

Tough break for Christian. He has been on a role in 2011, and he has had an outstanding run as a heel. His feud with Orton was great, and he has delivered some excellent matches with Sheamus. The Sheamus/Christian feud has been one of the highlights of Smackdown, and I would love to see some more matches between these two. Hopefully, this injury isn't something too serious, and I hope Christian can recover from this without any serious problems.

Man that sucks, this has been the best year of Christian's career and to have it cut short right before the end is a shame. He and Sheamus have been delivering solid matches together and it sucks that he was hurt in one of them(hopefully it wasn't either of their faults) and that the fans over in Europe are having that taken away from them. I hope he has a swift and speedy recovery and we have him back in the ring as soon as possible. I don't know when to expect him back but the Rumble is always a good time so if it isn't too bad maybe we'll see him then but I'm guessing it'll be a while so I guess we'll just have to wait and see but this is definitely going to hurt Smackdown!.

So far I haven't heard anyhting official about the severity of the injury. Until I do I won't buy into rumors. Speedy recovery, Christian, your last run until now was the best of your entire career.

Tough break for both Christian and SmackDown. Christian is one of the top talents of SmackDown. Hopefully this is just something minor because WWE needs Christian right now. The rivalry he's been having with Sheamus has been one of the best feuds in this half of the year. I can only wish Christian a quick and painless recovery and hope to see him on SmackDown soon.

If its serious it will be a big set back for Smackdown.

Christians been a major player since turning heel earlier this year, his program with Orton was great, his current program with Sheamus has been good. Christians been doing some of the best work of his entire career.

There are plenty of younger superstars on Smackdown and Raw who would benefit working a program with Christian. I'm hoping if this injury is true its not extremely serious because filling the gap losing Christian will create will be very difficult.

He's a good enough talker that they could keep him on TV and have him bitch about it and bitch about sheamus. It's what he does best. Have him do the whole heel "I know you people respect me for being courageous enough to show up tonight..." bit. Have him act tough for talking with an ankle injury, maybe some via satellite interivews etc.

BAd timing for the injury, but there is never a good time when it comes to this business. I agree with the masses in that he's having one of the best runs of his career this year. I hope this isn't as bad as it could be and he can remain one of the best heels in the business.

It clearly sucks. I have been enjoying christian since this past year very much. Hopefully he will be on tv in a talking-role until he is able to compete again.

Of course I am biased, but this sucks. I am honestly kind of surprised at how much heat Christian has managed to draw since his heel turn, when at the beginning he was kind of slow to get over as a 'bad guy' but now he has been playing the whining heel perfectly. He is absolutely hilarious to watch on the mic, the segment with CM Punk on Smackdown recently, the segment with Big Show, and countless others. He has been losing a lot lately but has stayed relevant with his weak and cowardly heel character. If only he had the 'peeps' gimmick he used to have, that would make it truly epic.

Since I don't think the WWE would be willing to keep him off TV to bring him back in a more epic and important return, I think he'll stick around on TV and play his character without competing, build up frustration in someone that the crowd will just be waiting for him to return to action and get his ass kicked by whoever it is (probably Sheamus). Looking forward to seeing how they handle the situation with him being out, but either way since he was already outta the main event and even slipping down the upper-mid card a bit after getting destroyed by Sheamus, this injury can't hurt him too much. He'll only come back with more importance now.

Get better soon Christian!

This news saddens me. I hope he gets better soon. Ziggler replacing him in the traditional Survivor Series match is probably the best they could have done. Injuries happen though and there is nothing we can do about it but wish the best for Christian and hope he has a quick recovery. The sooner he gets back the better because Christian was on a roll as a top heel and they really need him right now. A good idea might be to still have him used in a some type of role. He could do taped segments or even show up for a promo or two. As long as he does not compete until he is better since that risks him getting more hurt.
