Yeah I agree with that Im just mentioning that the first four weeks of it are shit in terms of presentation that it would be a good idea to split the others off from week five onwards.

Ahem...this was my idea. And I think it's a good one. I say go for it, and see if it garners any interest. And make sure to put the wrestler's name in the thread, that way it will entice interest.

And Shadow, when you do this, you need to write your commentary on the guy, and make it very strong and definite. Strong arguments always bring debate, and debate always increases interest. Controversy Creates Cash.

Sly your suggestion wouldn't work if it stays in the Old School Wrestling section as it would take up to many of the first page and further. The one thread keeps it all neat and Tidy if it is in the Old School Wrestling section, If it gets its own section than it can spread out a bit.

definately interested. You could put Sam's match of the week series in there too maybe??? Also it could just be a general area were people could post matches and promo's. I know we have a pic/video thread, but thats not geared just toward wrestling. people could post favorite matches, and obscure matches that are of high quality in there.

we could call it the "vintage lounge" or some shit like that...

I like this idea. Ech could put his women's matches in there and I for one love Japanese wrestling and would contribute vids to this. I would also post old school WWE videos because they were better back then.

You could have like a poll ware people vote on what they want to see, Like one week you post somthing up and in a poll you could put like what brand past or present do you want to see a wrestler from, Ie- tna wwe old school ecw/ New school ecw. Shit like that I think it would be fun for people in wz to have some sort of a say in some stuff.

I tried that with four options, Triple H. Scott Steiner, Dusty Rhodes and Harley Race. triple H won. Unless people are provided with a good idea of what else there is then all that will come up is the same tired names over and over again. Why do you think WotW has lasted as long as it has now. The variability makes it interesting as it is all on a whim for which Wrestler it is. Meaning that there Is Sports Entertainers, Old School Wrestlers, Indy Wrestlers and Japanese Wrestlers. It does need Lucha but that can be worked on. But it works best letting people see for themselves because this is a service rather than a store. It provides one product a week and that product may not be for everyone but it is for those to check out and to also try and improve their knowledge of Wrestling both where it is and what made it what it is today as well as shaping what it is going to be in future.

I also just think itd be a fantastic resourse for posters when there isnt a whole lot of traffic, or stuff to post on here, to just relax and watch some old school wrestling and promos. Every match posted could be given a thread, and then all be moved into one thread after they have been up for a while. IDK id love having this resource personally.

I did the same thing with my Music Asylum, and it worked for shit, people voted Foo Fighters into the Asylum, and then never posted when they got there time to shine, the next week I went with the band that got the second most votes, KSE, and got a whopping one post in response, nobody wants to post anymore, instead they want the creators of the threads to go through all the work of putting them up and updating them each week, and then show no appreciation by not posting, it's extremely frustrating

I didn't know where to put this, and I couldn't find an old thread about this. Move it if it needs moving.

But how du guys become moderators?

This will likely get taken down quick. The answer is very obvious as it extends to forums everywhere. Help others, contribute, follow the rules and have been a member usually for quite a while. If you're popular, you might get it early. But yeah, basically be an all-around good Samaritan and if there's an opening in the mod department or more need of assistance, you'll get your spot. But remember, there's lots of other members... so standing out never hurts. Lol

Hope that helps.

We look for a lot of different qualities in posters to become Moderators. There is no Application process we discuss who we feel would make a better Moderator based on how they contribute to the forum, if they follow the rules or not and their general personality. We usually only appoint new Moderators when one of the existing Mods leave however there have been times when people have been appointed to new area's that have been created or even if there is an increase in traffic and we feel someone new is needed.

Right sounds good. Have you got a football forum? (English, not American football).
