change the design of the Global title

I hate the design of that belt,nothing about it screams Global,the scrap is red and plate is nothing but gold with a crown on top,it's little things like this that makes it hard to take TNA seriously

they should change the scrap to blue and and make plate shaped out of the world and put the TNA logo in the middle.It would then look a lot more like a midcard title instead of a legends title rename title

anyone agree on changing the design???

I'd be OK with changing the design, but not because I don't like the look of it as it is. I actually really like the look of the design as it were for the Legends title, but because of the re-name, I'd like to see a more colorful representation taken, much like the WWE does/did with the U.S. Title and even the European title.

I honestly believe TNA put NOOOOOOOO thought into the designs on their belts. Even the X Division belt is so plane jane its ridiculous. They need a complete overhaul of all the title belt designs. id like to see em stand out more. At least WWE's belt are distinguishable.

I agree with you here. I personally liked the old NWA title belt that they used for the heavyweight championship, and I also like the newer TNA heavyweight title. It would be cool if they tweaked the old NWA belt a bit, maybe made it a little smaller, and used that as the Global Championship instead. In my opinion, the red strap (and the size of the gold plate) just looks gaudy.

Since someone mentioned the WWE US Title, I HATE the design compared to the old WCW design. To be completely honest, the WCW US Title was my favorite of all the belts at the time (10/15 years ago). I also really liked the WWF world title 10 years ago as well. Not the Bret Hart belt (the one they converted into the hardcore title), but the one the Rock held in the late nineties. I like the current WWE world title better than the "undisputed" belt they had years ago, but the current WWE world title is just plain LAME. I wasn't really watching wrestling when they changed it, was it Cena that "pimped" the belt back then? ...you know, by putting the spinner on it and all that? I like that they got rid of the spinner, but that "CHAMP" nonsense needs to go. It just looks like the kind of belt a ten year old would design.

The Global Championship should TOTALLY have a picture of the Earth on it, don't you think? Currently, it just looks like something that fits with the character of "King Booker" (with the crown & blue jewel and all), kind of like the Million Dollar Belt was back in the day. It just looks out of place on EY.

I don't think they should, or will, change it, because I'm not positive it's going to remain the "Global Championship". I think it was renamed to keep the heat on EY, and give him a reason to carry some gold while not defending it.

They'll go overseas, and he'll lose the belt, and it'll either go back to being the "Legends Title", or get renamed to what they really want as a midcard belt. If it were to stay with this name, then yes, renaming it would be a good idea, but I don't think they can do the globe idea, wince that's the base of the IC belt in the WWE.

I would not like to see the Global Championship be redesigned. I love the look of the belt and that it has a red strap unlike the usual black one that is customary with championship belts.

I honestly don't understand how the look of the midcard championship could really effect your views on the overall show though? I mean if you are going to sit there and nitpick just because of how a championship looks and let it ruin the program for you, why even bother being a fan of TNA?

TNA is about being different and is an alternative to the ordinary wrestling. I love the look of the Global title and even more so, I love the storyline behind it. When TNA goes overseas this year, I can see EY dropping the belt somehow and it going back to being the Legends Championship. Although, keeping it named the Global Championship isn't a bad idea either.

I totally agree with the color of the straps, the red is awesome, but the gold face designs on all the belts are so boring. I know the WWE title is a bit lame and alot of people dont like it, but look how much it stands out. It actually comes out towards you giving a 3-d effect. TNA should think of doin the same.

I doubt that TNA is going to leave the name of the title as the "Global Championship" on a permanent basis. After Young loses it, whenever that might be, it'll probably just revert back to its original name. If that's the case, I see no real reason to change the design.

What I'd like to see is to see TNA actually do something with the championship. Young has carried the title around since October 18 and has done virtually nothing with the title. The whole anti-American stance that the World Elite adopted has, more or less, been quietly dropped by TNA and really stopped making any sense when EY began his association with Kevin Nash. I think Young's only defense of the title came against Hamada, a match in which he looked weak as dishwater. Not only did he get his ass kicked throughout the match, but he had to cheat to win. At this point, the title is little more than a meaningless prop. I'd welcome a design change I suppose if it meant that something was actually going to be done with the title.

I don't understand why you cant take TNA seriously. Does that mean you take WWE seriously? Their WWE championship looks like its made out of legos.. has the capability of spinning an says "champ" which i would like to know if its even in the dictionary..

TNA's titles are great. The TNA Wh title looks unique but its still simple.. Out of all the Titles in WWE and TNA the TNA WH definitely looks the best.. The NWA championship was decent too but a little bland.

WWE just stole WCW's belt for their WH champ slot.
Tna's x division belt has a big X through it.. thats an eye catcher!!
As for the colors. GOOD FOR TNA!! WWE seems to not be able to even out creativity with absolutely tacky.

As for the Global championship, yea its pretty much useless now.. but the more time its around with more names on it it will gain some value.. Have Nash screw over Eric and re declare it as legends championship and change the belt color to blue (the knockout tag belts are already red) have an actual requirement for being able to hold the belt like a certain number of years in wrestling.. have sting come back for another stint, bring in Ric flair and have them do a major 3 way rivalry. we need more multiway feuds. Didn't sting face Ric flair on the last episode of WCW?

Tons of creative possibiliteis are available to TNA that WWE simply cannot do.. because they simple dont give a ****..

I think a re-design of the belt is necessary if TNA wants to keep it around for a while. And especially if they continue to remain as popular outside of the States as they are now.

It's pretty apparent to anyone who has been watching TNA long enough, that it's still the Legends Title belt, just with a different name. Change it up.

Same here.. The design of the belt isnt the problem its simple but flashy and still somehow unique. Blue strap would be cool and different. Problem is that there's no value behind the title.

The Global title is fine. I think this thread defines nitpicking. You guys take the slightest things and try make something out of it almost all the time on here. I swear, some of you viewers would say you couldn't take TNA serious if someone in the midcard had their hair dyed a certain color. My goodness. This is the only place where people moan about the color of tights and the color of belts. Are you guys designers/fashion critics or wrestling fans? Give me a break.

I've never gotten the complaints about how a belt looks. Honestly, I couldn't tell you what any belt in TNA looks like. They're all more or less the same to me. Does it really affect your viewing that much? I don't think so.

I also have to agree with the consensus that it likely won't be the Global Title for long. I've almost forgotten about it as it's been so pointless. It's just a piece of gold for EY to carry around with him everywhere so he looks more important, but other than that, it's hardly even mentioned. Hopefully they'll eventually just get rid of it once and for all as they don't even need that belt at all.

I definitely agree that both the strap part and the plate have to be changed.

The easiest way to change the Global Championship is to make it look similar to WWE's IC belt, with a globe in the middle, and the TNA logo somewhere around it.

To my opinion they should at least give it a bit of an overhaul. Whether its the "Legends" or "Global" Championship. All you can see of it is the TNA logo on it. I can't tell if it say's "Legend" on it unless I look it up on Wikipedia. At least change it to make the name a bit more visible. The design is great but I can't tell what it is from the distance. You can see the X Division belt because it has a huge X in it, You can see the Tag Team belts named with a close-up as well as the Heavyweight title. But the Legends/Global belt? Nope. In HD? Maybe...

I feel that the Global title needs a new title and design. The belt is bigger than the World Title and Global is to close to World, also. Name it something similar to US, Intercontinal, Television or something with different title.

Also, drop the Red stuff. This is not a video game where you can create titles at will. Go with the more traditional look.

your absolutely correct. TNA needs to start useing there titles correctly. Brits are champions, and thats not working, eric is champ, and thats not happeneing. who does eric think he is to go around with kevin nash? Hes not going to get into NWO when they return. I think its just sad to waste all these titles on ppl who cant use them

That is exactly what I am talking about. I think TNA is trying to cramp in to many wrestlers in to little time. They look at it like if we put another title then people will watch it. I think that is stupid. I remember when NWA-WCW had too many belts. They combine the National title with the US title and the United State Tag Titles with the World Title. They drop the 6 man tag belts and the Light Heavyweight title. They had a huge roster but only the World, US, TV and Tag Team. That is all you need. You need a World title, a midcard title, Tag title and/or lightweight/women belt.

I think the Global title need to dropped or become a new title. It making the company looking like a Fanbased wrestling league with friends because he/she have to many favorite wrestlers and he want to put a title on everybody.
