I'm going with Sheamus on this one.

Sheamus was never the type to let himself be intimidated by a "legend". Blue Demon's matches bore me to tears, though they're slightly more exciting than his movies.

While both men would be coming to the match with huge feelings of entitlement; Sheamus would bicycle-kick Blue Demon's face and hit his chest while having him tied up in the ropes, and Blue Demon would be trying to execute fifty arm drags before attempting to put Sheamus in a five minute arm lock. Basically; a brawler who wins his matches with that technique will be going up against a generic luchadore who doesn't specialize in submission but utilizes submission holds only to drag his matches out.

Vote Sheamus.

It's very easy to start being uncouth in these tournaments. It is completely understandable that people will vote for Sheamus in this match as they're more familiar with him etc, but the fact of the matter is Sheamus has failed to establish himself as a top tier talent, despite having all of the sorts of victories that should ensure that. Blue Demon on the other hand was unquestionably a top drawer talent and stayed in the higher echelons of everywhere he wrestled. For me, he must go over.

Wow, cannot believe Sheamus is winning this one. Sheamus is a multiple time world champion - true. But he was never the face of the company. He's mostly been a transitional champion that puts over the bigger name at the end of the feud. Look at his role in the company right now - a mid card hand in a literally thrown together tag team.

Blue Demon was the most popular luchadore in the history of Mexico not named El Santo. He's a crossover icon that was infinitely more popular than a wrestler like Sheamus. If he can get the best of Santo multiple times during their long feud together, then he sure as shit can defeat Sheamus.

It should be a no brainer. Blue Demon must win.

I voted for Blue Demon

He beat El Santo in a few high profile matches
He's the second most recognized wrestler in Mexico
He beat the crap out of many high profile monster villains such as Dracula, the Wolfman and Dr. Frankenstein's monster
Watching El Santo didn't bore me to sleep.
Sheamus has literally bored me to sleep.

Voted for the Fella!

Sheamus is an awesome ass kicking heel. He has a goofy charm to him, and a great list of accolades. Plus, he was an IT guy before he wrestled. Gotta give it up.

Sheamus is a former multiple time world champion but he can't come close to matching Blue Demon's career and legacy in Mexico. Demon deserves to advance here.
