Cena/Bryan feud being discussed

Duh Nick, because it appeals to the indy fan's mind so that Bryan can show Cena why he's the best in the world. It's lunacy and has no bearing in reality, but that's the thinking behind it.

This isn't nearly as intriguing as the news that the WWE is thinking of having Undertaker wrestle Sin Cara at WrestleMania.

Rather see Bryan/Orton at WM.

Silly wabbit, it's Kane Vs Sin Cara, we still need to break the mask record.

Wow overreact much?

It's not like Daniel Bryan spit in John Cena's face and yelled "You are not better than me!" when he was primed for his first push as one of the main Nexus guys or anything. Not like there's a built in back-story ready to go on hand even though you wouldn't even need that story to begin with because with two workers as good as John Cena and Daniel Bryan, it doesn't matter what the fuckin' story is, they're going to make that shit gold. Oh, wait a minute....

I would love to see this feud and I absolutely believe we'll be seeing it at some point down the line, when one of them has turned heel.

Yes, let's put Cena, the guy that has survived torture, into a match where his opponent's whole offense is based on submission. I mean, that'll sell shows right?

Cena will sell shows against anybody.

In this current storyline where Cena contemplates whether or not he wants to stop being a goody-two-shoes, in my opinion Bryan is the perfect babyface for him to go up against if the story requires a couple of matches to put doubt into the fans minds about Cena turning heel.

Plus, it would only help Bryan, big time, with the fans. Lets say Bryan is the opposite of Kane, telling Cena to never change and to remain himself, they have a couple of really close (and obviously very good) matches... this puts Bryan over HUGE with Cena fans, while also of course keeping his smark fan base.

You're trying to inject logic in something that's notorious for a lack of logic. People have suspended their disbelief before, and they'll keep suspending their disbelief now, as long as Dickbutt's submissions are built as something serious.

I just find it humorous how it's almost like some people around here get personally offended by the mere thought that a guy like Daniel Bryan could succeed in the WWE, let alone feud with their biggest babyface, Cena. Like, is it really that far out of the realm of possibility that two wrestlers, one of whom is a World champ & the other a multiple time World champ, would feud? You can't imagine this scenario?

This idea makes perfect sense for the future. I have no idea what one's problem with this besides they just have a personal grudge, 'cause the matches would rock and you'd think a wrestling fan would be excited at the idea of an awesome wrestling match featuring two guys who for all intents and purposes have never had a REAL, big-time match together.

I would very much like to see Cena and DBD in the ring again. Much like with Punk, I think Cena could mesh very well with Bryan and give us some good matches.

As for the idea of DBD being the balance to Devil's Advocate Kane, I am unsure.

Kane could easily bring up Bryan's own hypocrisy and show him spitting in Cena's face during the inaugural Nexus attack while DBD could couner with saying that he only got anywhere by rising above his own hate for Cena and embracing the fans. Some of it sounds okay on paper but it would need great care to prevent Daniel Bryan coming across as a complete sop; care that I do not think the current WWE Creative team have.

I'm still thinking that Zack Ryder is the puzzle piece that fits right in that spot, but sure, Bryan could work too.

Not only that but I think it could benefit Bryan especially if he plays the heel and they base it off of the Nexus debut attack in which he told Cena he wasn't better than him. I mean, it's pretty basic. Not hard to figure out.

I like jmt's idea here, and I do think Bryan can bringup the past and be actually pushed into more fandom going against Cena. God knows people will cheer anyone against him.
But one problem I have is Bryan stll lacks direction. I am waiting for Big Show/Bryan match and how WWE handles him. If he is turned heel in this match, I am reserving my judgment, if he just steals a win, I digress, if he actually goes works on a limb relentlessly and locks on the Lebell Lock out of nowehere (preferably from a chokeslam counter), and makes Show tap after locking it on for a while, I believe.

A lot of Bryan's future credibility and booking depends on this match IMO.
