Twas ok. But the Shoney's buffet I ate at before the show was much better. The guys 82 years old and he can still sing great. But I dont care much for bluegrass so I almost fell asleep. The highlight of the show was Ralph singing "Man of Constant Sorrows." which was the only song I knew. I also made the keen observation that every song the man sang was about death. I'm not exgagerating EVERY SONG. But it was still an okay show. I found my mind thinking about how loud it would be if it was 70,000 people cheering like at wrestlemania....which would be loud as hell....cause there was only 1,000 there...so I came to the conclusion that 70,000 would be enough to make me piss my pants. Biggest pop of the night went to the fiddle player. Cause Evidently rednecks lover their fiddle players. They were seriously marking out for the guy like I would if I ever seen Randy Orton wrestle.
Overall it was worth the price of admission just because I was with my Grandpa and Ralph Stanley is his hero. HOPEFULLY next time I do a show review it will be a wrestling show. I've NEVER been to one, so next time ANY fed is close I'm going.
