Getting Noticed By Management
Since the beginning of the Internet and in particular the Internet Wrestling Community (IWC) we have been prone to complaining about what we don't like instead of what we do like (myself included). From the WCW invasion angle right down to the Aces and Eights storyline we tend to only focus on the negatives and not the positives in the wrestling industry. I am going to note several negative topics that I have seen recently and try to put a positive spin on them

1.) The Aces and Eights angle taking to long to play out and the payoff won't be that big. Apparently we are also part time fortune tellers who already know the payoff of TNA's big angle. I personally think that it is playing out just perfectly and the payoff should be coming very shortly. This angle has played out very nicely and help infuse some new talent, plus really elevate vets like Bully Ray

2.) The Rock shouldn't be champ/ should appear on Smackdown. I think the Rock as champ helps put the WWE out there in mainstream media. As for not appearing regularly on Smackdown... well up until the recent brand split the WWE champ never appeared on Smackdown and even CM Punk was not on Smackdown that often during his reign

3.) Jeff Hardy should have lost the title before the Overseas tour. Yes every company would like to have their champ on tour, but unfortunately due to legal problems it couldn't happen. They still have plenty of star power who made the trip. Hardy is the #1 fan favourite in the company and shouldn't have lost the title at this point in time

4.) John Cena can't wrestle/sucks. I think Monday night proved the haters wrong. Nope, now they are trashing the huracanrana. Give the man a break, he goes out and busts his ass day in and day out and just can't get no love.

5.) Hulk Hogan posts provocative pics of his daughter. Ok I can't put a positive spin on that lol

Any way my point is have we all lost sight of the fact that these companies are giving there all and trying their hardest to entertain us. I am pretty sure that we would all struggle as well to come up with great ideas if we were part of creative

Accepting mediocrity in anything is pretty much admitting defeat. You're basically saying that regardless of how big the spoonful of shit is you will always be glad to open your mouth and swallow it down. The Aces & Eights storyline is an awfully big spoonful of shit and it's going to leave a horrible aftertaste once they reveal the leader.

The angle hasn't played out nicely... It started out just fine but TNA quickly ran into the same fucking wall that they always do; they can never keep the car in-between the lines. They swerve around way too much, and unfortunately there's never a cop around to pull their asses over and give them a ticket for their inane actions.

Jeff Hardy SHOULD have lost the belt before going on the overseas tour, no questions asked. The main reason is because the overseas crowd makes up a large majority of TNA's fanbase. They basically gave them the finger by having no world champion on any of the bookings.

4.) John Cena can't wrestle/sucks. I think Monday night proved the haters wrong. Nope, now they are trashing the huracanrana. Give the man a break, he goes out and busts his ass day in and day out and just can't get no love.

Just because Cena has chemistry with Punk doesn't mean squat in the grand scheme of things. Cena has always been a decent worker in the ring, anyone that denies that is clearly delusional. The real reason he should be getting shit on is because he's lazy in the ring with the vast majority of his opponents.

He also no-sells and goes into God Mode, which is one of the most agonizing thing to see in pro-wrestling. It's an art that should have died with Hogan. People say he sucks because they're tired of the same old shit. The same reason Hogan started getting boos toward the end of his first WWE run. Fans want some god damn evolution in terms of character, and Cena/WWE isn't making it happen. A t-shirt color changing does not = changing of character no matter how hard WWE pushes it.

Again you're back to pushing the acceptance of mediocrity. I've watched pro-wrestling since the mid-80s. I've seen the worst of the worst, I've seen the best of the best. The shit WWE and TNA both pump out on the recent norm is on the lower end of things at best. It's gotten so bad that when there's a little bit of blood or a piledriver, or a little bit of edge on a storyline fans shit their pants with excitement. That's mediocrity, and you're trying to sell it. I'm not buying, sorry.

I've been posting on wrestling forums for close to eight years now, let me give you a small iota of info I picked up a few years ago - when your in a "community" as wide as the one we populate, which features so many mediums such as several different large forums, another couple hundred small ones, Twitter groups, wrestling sites, Facebook, editorial sites and on and on, you'll never make everybody happy, it's literally impossible.

It's like that with everything that gains large numbers of support. I support Liverpool FC, every week I hear fans ragging on the club for performing below par, spending money on unneeded things, manager speaking on irrelevant topics; I could go on. IWC is nothing different, but what you need to learn is some things matter and others don't.

Some advice, ignore most wrestling fans. Majority of wrestling fans are fickle, it's the everyone has an asshole argument, and everyone thinks the other smells like shit. Everyone has an opinion, everyone thinks their holds superiority. It doesn't. That is why to combat say fans annoyed at Cena versus Rock II - Rock versus Cena I main evented the largest selling WrestleMania of all-time, that is not an opinion, that is a fact.

People complain about The Rock being WWE Champion due to his schedule? WWE Champions used to rarely appear back in the old days, its been stated by many traditional wrestling fans on the forum before that sometimes to get a glimpse of the champ at a show during the territorial days was next to impossible. The Rock is the champ because he's the most successful, the most popular, the most widely accepted by mainstream media by a country long mile and it's just good business having him as WWE Champion.

Ignore the opinions of many, trust in those who know a thing or two. I enjoy Ring of Honor, tonight I'm going to watch the iPPV and love it, some people will probably attempt to make a joke of it because it's ROH, it's small and not as widely marketed as a WWE or TNA - you think I care? Fuck no. Gonna enjoy it all the same. You'll never make everyone happy, just focus on making yourself happy, simple philosophy.
