Can DX re-unite with a PG rating?

I think we could see DX a couple of months before WrestleMania if HBK is going to retire at the end of the wrestling "season". One of the possible ways they could go is a farewell deal where DX gets one last match against some heel tag team or a couple members of Legacy. It would also keep Triple H away from the WWE Title, which would please most of the IWC on this board I'm sure.

I don't think this is a good idea at all and I think that it was proven that D-X should stay dead and buried by the monumental failure that was the "D-X Reunion '06". The only real reason I can see the fed doing this is because they want to start a storyline involving Triple H and Shawn Michaels, ending in a match between the two at Wrestlemania 26 (The REAL 25th anniversary). Not only does nobody want to see TripleH vs. HBK 127, but re-forming D-X for the sheer purpose of having the angle culminate into a match between them so Shawn can retire will only diminish the legacy of the REAL D-X days.

And even if this isn't the direction that WWE is moving towards, nobody wants to see 40+ year old men making penis jokes and talking about chickens (cocks) for 20 minutes on a Monday Night Raw when there are so many other talents that should be being pushed and aren't.

I think Dx could operate just fine under the PG rating, they just need PG antics. That being said, most of their antics from 2006 would still fly today, things not too different are still going on. Maybe there hasn't been a lot of penis jokes as of late, but shortly before Wrestlemania, HHH joked about how big, real looking, and impressive Eve's "pearls" were. HBK and HHH have both used the crotch chop, and a lot more colorful language than the words suck it have been used by superstars. It's been said before, HHH broke into Randy Orton's house with a sledgehammer, that's a lot more serious than breaking into the WWE production trailer and making Vince McMahon's voice sound like Alvin and the Chipmunks, or HBK getting upset and super-kicking random people in the face. Dx would be just fine under a PG rating system.

DX CAN reunite with a PG rating, but I think it would be very difficult for them to get around. DX just wouldn't be DX with a PG rating. They are really hilarious with the vulgar statements. I think that's part of what really makes DX. DX would just be messed up and weird to watch if that happened. I don't think fans would enjoy it much either. Why change them? They are great just as they are.
